  1. This defense if going to be very good with McD taking over.

Remember Josh Allen's first career start in 2018? Chargers-Phillip Rivers week 2, (corner retired at halftime game)?

They lost big, 47-3 to Ravens in week 1, The Bills were were again down big, something like 26-3 at halftime. At halftime, McD took over defensive calls from Frazier and the Bills defense was like a completely different team.... absolutely lights out in the second half, (and for the remainder of the season) they should have won that game actually. (sh*yt call on a strip sack).

    Dude can coach! Go Bills!

It’s the thing I’m most excited about this season.  Seeing the defense under McD rather than Loosey Frazier

I feel like I'm in bizzarro universe reading their boards.  Many are convinced that the league has it rigged against them.

Like, were their fans around for the past 20 years?  Starting w/ the tuck rule, and all of the Bills games in that time?  I remember defenders getting 15 yards for just getting close to Brady. I remember one Pats game where the Bills had 3 PI's at or near the endzone called against them, all ticky tack or phantom.  It was impossible playing that team on a level field.

Well, it has all come home to roost.  They actually see the Bills as the "darlings" who get all of the calls now.  Here's hoping we win next week on a bogus call or 2.

I remember the 3rd down sack and J Hughes slapped a Bills player on the helmet in celebration and got an Unsportsmanlike penalty, followed by 2 more 3rd down BS PI's on the same drive!

I did a search prior to posting this, my apologies if it's already being discussed.

I just finished watching a clip from The Carton Show on a preview of the Bills Jets game, and Jets DE John Franklin-Myers was quoted as saying that Josh Allen pleads with the refs for penalty calls....and all I could say was....

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

First off, this is the DE who singlehandedly cost the Jets the game last week with his boneheaded roughing the passer penalty.   His stupid penalty wiped away an 85 yard pick six that would've essentially put the game away.  So what does he do for an encore?  Brings up a player completely unrelated, and tries to say Allen is a flopper, and pleads with the refs for calls. Let me say this.  I'm as big a Bills fan as anyone, and I've been guilty on more than one occasion of having a biased opinion when it comes to our Bills, but this comment is pure absurdity at it's most impressive.  Josh Allen in my opinion has NEVER flopped OR pleaded with the refs for a call he didnt deserve.  If anything, Allen takes way more hits with no flags called than pretty much any quarterback I've seen with the exception of Cam Newton, MAYBE.  I believe that a big reason for that is his aggressive running style, and also that he's probably better at dishing punishment out than any other QB to play the game.

Jets players and coaches alike have got to be wanting to shove this guy in a closet for making comments like this prior to the game.  As if Allen and company needed any additional motivation, I'm sure this raised some eyebrows in the Bills locker room.  Sometimes I really wonder what is going through a players mind when they make these type of idiotic statements.

    Thoughts?

Several Jets fans mentioned this JFM dude on their message board this week. Vailed comments regarding JA and injuring him etc. NY Jets have a long history of dirty BS. They are/can be dirty, no question

Never seen such a fraudulent 5-2 team.

Fluke comeback win against the Browns.

Beat 3rd string rookie QB in Miami

    Beat the bad broncos

    Beat the bad steelers

Beat the Packers and Aaron Rodgers?!?!?....wait so did the Commanders.

Is it the Jets or the Opponents?

On the flip side they got handled by the respectable Ravens and Bengals.

I'm not usually one to discount a teams wins, but come on, besides Aaron Rodgers, thats bottom of the barrel.

They will come crashing back to reality when they face us and the Vikings, but lucky for them, the rest of the schedule is fairly cake being the last place AFC Team and getting the Jaguars, Seahawks, and Broncos. I think the Jaguars and Seahawks give them a run for the money though.

Won’t say most overrated, but if the chargers bothered to watch him against the Bills they wouldn’t have signed him.  Dude was bad.

Overrated and then some. His INT's were against first/second/third game rookies, tipped passes etc. Below average cover skills. Blatantly overrated... Just like Mac Jones.

I don't know if it was in fact his best game ever, but I thought he was just awesome and that it could have been his best (so far).  The sure tacking, even in the open field.  Play diagnosis shooting the gap.  Man, great game Matt! (Edmunds too).

Dude should have made the pro bowl 3 years now. Not sure why or how he's been so overlooked. He's been unreal since we drafted him. Great player.

  6. At NE 1998. Bills 7-4 NE 6-5. The "just give it to them" game. PI in end zone last play of the game.

    Still p*ssed.

That game had serious consequences. Jet were the Division winners, Bills, Dolphins, Pats were the wild cards in the conf.

(I know, 4 teams from one division, crazy right?)

But for that BS officiating in Foxboro, Dolphins would have played Bills in Buffalo in January, not South Florida.

Bills lost in Miami 24-17 with a sh*t-ton of help from the officials again.

I was at that game, sat in the Dog Pound during the drive. Looking back it's a good thing Harmon dropped the pass, I might have been killed.

    “Ronnie ***** Harmon”

Dude, that's amazing. One of the best playoff games ever, for some reason doesn't get much attention, should be replayed in its entirety. K Gun resulted from this game. F'ing heartbreaker.

Fair amount of revisionist history in this thread. There were a number of posters that had their doubts about Allen after year 2. You know who you are. That said there were legit concerns. His deep ball accuracy was still a major issue after year two.  And the stats don’t lie. 58.8% completion in year 2 is horrible. What was a sign of future success was his TD/INT ratio improvement in year 2.  Keep in mind Lamar Jackson is winning the MVP,Allen losing to Watson in the playoffs with worries about hero ball, and Mahommes is going to the SuperBowl at the same time.
I believe we all saw glimpses of greatness from Allen. But to say it was obvious he was going to make the massive improvement from year 2 to year 3 is disingenuous.

Doubters and disingenuous.. not me. 57 and watching this team since I was 6 and surrounded by the enemy here in RI. I never post here, but read often enough.

Never saw the dude play once in college..all it took was a Couple of throws/pocket awareness/runs in his first full start against SD (the halftime retirement game), and it was clear to me that he "could" be special. Next game Minnesota, there was no doubt, he "was" special, we finally hit on one, it was obvious. Knowing it was was neg cap year, paying players to not be there, I couldn't wait for FA 2019 to begin.

Started wagging my finger at the Pats fans in 2018 (live in RI, they are everywhere!), saying "watch out.. they're coming"
