  1. Can’t wait to seen him diving at ankles, laying on his face staring up at someone catching/running for a first down or td.

Pretty amazing comment. He says it’s based on film study. The Bills don’t have a number 1 receiver.

Comment starts at 2:13 in. But it’s a good listen. Not sure if this link will work.

The fact that Beane is so confident in saying “full confident Stef is a #1” is unsettling.

he was “fully confident” in Gabe being a #2 as well.

He seems to be a year behind on his evaluations of declining players.

at the end of the day, the defensive injuries were just too hard to overcome. We were playing back ups at several positions, not one or two, but several the only part of our defense that was intact was our line. We were playing back up in the secondary and the linebacker positions multiple places

    We forced one punt

Having said all that, the offense still had an opportunity to take the lead with under 2 mins left and they didn’t make enough plays.

that’s the real story. They didn’t capitalize on the opportunities that were in front of them, again.

  4. This game is a cataclysm of the last 6 years into one game.

the highs, the lows, the still not being able to cover Travis Kelce, the still letting mahommes pirouette around and get a big first down or finding someone open downfield.

Tyler bass didn’t lose this game. From the first snap mistakes were made from Diggs fumbling. To the last drive with Diggs dropping a huge pass, Josh fumbling with 5 mins left and then missing Shakir in the back of the end zone.

this is another game of missed opportunities. Blame who you want. There’s plenty to go around

That’s kind of a league wide issue this year imo…defenses have been dominating and ours is just missing too many impact players

lots of good teams have been winning ugly offensive games this year

Again I will ask…what do our defensive injuries have to do with the offense having 7 pts total, 54 minutes into 5 out of the last 6 games?

My title would be Stuck in the Mud = Coaching + injuries.  I think the team has enough talent to be good, maybe even dominant.  The Bills will be entering the Denver game missing 45% of the starters they had on defense entering the season.  That is a tough loss to overcome.  I do think there have been coaching errors this season that have cost games.

Again I will ask…what do our defensive injuries have to do with the offense having 7 pts total, 54 minutes into 5 out of the last 6 games?

We have high end talent on offense , the coaching staff is refusing to adjust and stick with concepts that are ineffective.

The defense is lacking talent but that is due to injuries and are holding up well enough.

The Tom Brady offense needs to go

Injuries are not a part of it. The team that beat the Bills on Sunday has zero current significant injuries. KC has one. Baltimore has one. Jacksonville has zero. The teams that are currently playing well in the AFC have the fewest injuries. That is not a coincidence.

What do the injuries on defense have to do with the fact that the offense had 7 pts total with 54 minutes left in 4 of the last 5 games.

take away their best game (Miami) and their worst game (pick any of the other 8 games) and that’s what they are. This isn’t just a this season problem. This started to show in the second half of last season.

Even when healthy, this defense gets exposed by elite quarterbacks and plays well against average to below average quarterbacks.

The roster even when healthy has holes and not enough impactful players that were drafted high.

  7.  think the root of the problem is that the roster isn’t as great as everyone thought it was.

Besides Josh Allen and Diggs, defenses don’t have to game plan or fear anyone else.

we don’t have any other receiving options (Kincaid may get there) besides Diggs.

the zone defense was great for 5 years against average to below average teams. They have drafted high round, non-impactful pass rushers and in turn had to pay 140 million dollars to a 33 year old pass rusher to overcompensate.

hyde and poyer are showing their age

besides Matt Milano, who do offenses really game plan for?!

whenever this zone defense faces elite quarterbacks it gets shredded. This is nothing new and has been exposed over and over and over again.

Everyone keeps saying we’re stuck in the mud, I think we’re lacking high end talent

McClap needs to move past lack of rhythm, poor "complimentary" football and lack of execution as excuses for why this team is struggling.  Get to the ROOT of the problem by looking in the mirror.

He is a defensive minded coach but needs a coordinator on defense and a STRONG one on offense.  Until that happens this team will continue to struggle.

Your thread title is rather vague, and the post itself surely could have been put into one of the many already-existing discussion threads about Monday's game.

    Aside from that, great job.

It’s not just about Monday nights game. It’s an overall statement about how those 3 aren’t very good

  10. All 3 of these guys consistently got pushed around all game.

I know the jets d-line will do that to a lot of teams but game after game it seems these 3 don’t generate enough push in the run game, especially dawkins

i feel like he gets a pass because he’s a nice guy, but he’s soft. He consistently gets beat by speed rushers because he’s too slow, and he gets overpowered by bull rushers.

You can’t fix the o-line in one off season but failing to address it in the draft in years past caught up big time last year and isn’t looking any better 1 game into this year

Thanks for proving my point as it doesn’t matter whether a player is still here.  Is he’s still valuable in the NFL.  Point Beane. 0 Peepee.

You continue to cherry pick.  Provokes don’t matter.  Ok. Then it’s ok we have now moving forward.  You’re in a minority.  Edmunds secured a $72 mil contract so obviously someone thought he was a good LB.

where in my msg did I write something about the chiefs draft?

It interesting your others reference calls you out as you swoop in whenever you can throw shade.  Go back to whatever team you really support as Bills fans are smarter than you.  We know a troll when we see one.

The bears gave edmunds an absurd amount of money, and considering their recent record, I’m sure that’s a great point of reference to use. 👍

the whole point of this thread was to point out that Beane hasn’t gotten enough impact or ROI on his draft picks and that sooner rather than later it’s going to catch up starting next year.

so I’m hoping that this is the year because it’s going to get tough to bring in free agents to cover up draft mistakes

Do you mean the Zay Jones who is still starting for the Jags.  Or Teller, or Milano, you know that 1st team all pro LB.

What about the acquisitions of Hyde, Poyer, Diggs, Morse, pro bowler Dawkins, acquiring the immovable force Daquan Jones, this year Poona, Settle a solid 1 tech DT, and I can keep going.

You carry picked to support a biased agenda for a GM who is one of the best in the league as examples by the experts.  You don’t look at just some draft picks and make dumb claims.  You didn’t even add Edmunds who is a multi pro bowler.

A team and GM is not evaluated with incomplete information, not to mention not even a complete post.

Lol edmunds. He didn’t even get a second contract, but was supposed to be a core player.

spare me with the pro bowls. The pro bowl is a joke and had been for years

teller and zay jones aren’t on the team anymore either…

i still am flabbergasted by the fact everyone is saying “right because the Cheif’s draft so well”

This isn’t about the chiefs drafting but they’ve won 2 super bowls including 1 in what should have been a “rebuilding” year

where the Bills have regressed in each other last 2 years with Josh Allen’s big cap set to hit next year

This has nothing to do with how well or not we’ll the chiefs draft and has to do with Beans not getting enough impact from his high draft picks

    who cares when I joined?

@PepeSilvia dumps another hot mess thread and takes off into the sunset.  This is like his 3rd one.

Pepe joined the day after (Dec 7th 2021) the NE wind/weather game.

He never showed up again until after the Bills stomping of the Patriots in January to start a thread entitled "McDermott and Beane

Have to Go".  He then didn't post until after the Bills lost to KC with his "Cancun on 3" thread.

Now he is back with this hot turd of a thread.  LOL.  I can smell these trolls a mile away!

you’re a “time on” kind of guy eh?

cool guy smelling trolls from miles and miles away with your extensive knowledge 👍

I bet your talents are a real riot at family parties

  14. Boogie a 2nd round draft pick being traded for a late round draft pick is just another one of Beane’s whiffs.

Josh Allen and Stefan Diggs cover up so much for this team and it’s going to be more and more apparent how much next year when Josh’s contract kicks in and you can’t pay free agents to make up for your draft whiffs

2022 (No. 25 overall): Kaiir Elam -   can’t get on the field

2021 (No. 30 overall): Gregory Rousseau, still undecided on how good he is. Plays much better when Von Miller is on the field. Not sure he’s a #1 pass rusher a nice complimentary rusher

    2020 (No. 54 overall): A.J. Epenesa, bust

2019 (No. 9 overall): Ed Oliver, not worth the contract he got nor how high he was drafted

2018 (No. 7 overall): Josh Allen, hit

    2017 (No. 27 overall): Tre'Davious White, hit

We all know about all of the 2nd round whiffs starting with Zay Jones

im sure a 1st round pick last year and couple 2nd round picks from the last few years would look pretty good on the o-line or Lb’s right about now

With that being said, we have a good team this year and this might be it for a few years before they can get some salary off the books and draft better which I don’t think a lot of us have faith that they can do

Bills have been home for over a week now.

Let’s raise our standards around here and actually be in contention to play for the Super Bowl before we take a shot at other teams.

The Bengals kicked our butts. I get it. But the Chiefs are now the Patriots and I’m sick of them.

What do our Bills have to do to get their next season is the question.

I believe every move needs to be towards the offense. Also, would be nice if they could at least fire our horrible DC as well.

  16. I just don’t understand why it’s hard to accept that the Bills have Brandon Beane and Sean McDemott problem.

Too many wasted high draft picks that aren’t difference makers

For a defensive minded head coach, the defense has gotten absolutely torched the past two post seasons

He’s also been out coached and out played in all 4 playoff appearances

He’s Tony Dungy. Good enough to get you to the playoffs and win a game or two, but not good enough to beat the great teams and great coaches when it matters.

We’re going to regret if not already regret letting Schoen and Daboll go to Giants. they got impact players in their first draft and maximized the minimal talent they have on their roster.
