  1. I'm a retired Naval officer living in Virginia Beach and bought season tickets last year because I couldn't believe how inexpensive they were. Twelve rows upper deck, 30 yard line and it only cost $1200 for two season tickets. Went to every game and loved it. A modest price increase didn't deter me at all from renewing for this year.

  2. Don't be surprised if the Bills make a run a center/guard Brian De La Puente when free agency starts. Aaron Kromer is extremely high on him, and the feeling is mutual by De La Puente.

Below is a good read on him and Kromer:

He's been one of the best bang for the buck offensive lineman in the NFL the last four seasons. Watching how he came in and performed at a high level against the Bills when the Bears starting center (Roberto Garza) got injured convinced me last year.

Pro Football Focus predicted he would be the Bears "Secret Superstar" last year (they also predicted Nigel Bradham for the Bills).

In my opinion, he probably wouldn't cost a lot against the cap and would be a much better value than anybody on the Bills interior.

  3. I have to admit, I've been immensely impressed at the leadership EJ has shown this offseason. I did a search to see which other young quarterbacks organized workouts with their receivers during the offseason. I couldn't find anything on Geno Smith or Mike Glennon.

RG3 set up sessions with Pierre Garcon:

Andrew Luck worked out with some of his receivers in Miami, but it appeared to be more conditioning than anything else:

Not surprisingly, I came across an article on the sessions Russell Wilson set up with his receivers in Southern California this month. These seemed to be the closest to what EJ organized:

Not a single FSU WR or TE made First or Second All ACC (which we all know is a piece of crap conference). How crappy must their WR/TE be???

  5. I just watched the replay on NFL Network and have come to the conclusion that Brohm got absolutely screwed by incompetent receivers like JP Foschi and Donald Jones (not to mention a sieve of an offensive line).

Three passes were right in the chest of Foschi-Jones and dropped (or bounced up in the air for an interception). On another play, Brohm escapes the pressure, rolls to his left and puts it right on the money to Jones 25 yards down field on the left sideline. Instead of coming back for the ball, Jones stands there and lets the defender come over his back to knock it away. Three of those four plays killed drives.

If there is any justice, Brohm will be the #3, Brown will clear waivers and go to the PS.

  6. Here's how our QB's stack up:

    Name Wonderlic Starts Completion Percentage

    Ryan Fitzpatrick 48 28 60

    Trent Edwards 31 31 56.3

    Brian Brohm 32 33 65.8

    Levi Brown 28 24 61.2

The only ones who didn't meet the criteria was Trent (completion %) and Levi (starts). However, Levi Brown played in many more games than he started.

  7. The announcer draft is on WGR on a day where stories are out about the Bills getting a left tackle and I was covering rookie camp all day. I'm not here to talk crap, but you should tune to Hometown WECK 1230 AM (streaming at www.weck1230.com)

Special occasion, Brad's going to take calls... about FOOTBALL (716.783.9325)

    Nick,

I live in Virginia Beach and have to listen over the internet. No offense, but how are we supposed to tell you are going to be on based on your "Programming" web page? I don't see you listed there anywhere. I would much rather listen to Bills talk than some of the drivel on WGR, but throw me a bone here!
