  1. So after reading this thread and I agree that the right call was made according to the rules that are in place. So according to this rule if a reciever go up in the air to make a catch, say around the hash marks, and couple of defenders cath him in mid air and carries him all the way to the sidelines and they dump him out of bounds it is a no catch. I'm surprised you don't see this more often when the catch is near the side lines.

  2. lake, but in the fall and winter, it's pretty much a ghost town at night. Except for Walleye Willie's across the street from the Clarion, they have bands every weekend. I heard they have decent wings, but haven't tried them. Also for night life, go to Rookie's on Central Avenue. It's a really nice sports bar, let the owner Rob C. know you're in for the game, he has season tickets as well. For a very good meal in Dunkirk, I would go to the Fireside (tell the owner Pat W., that Big Ricky sent you). It's on route 5 heading towards Erie, Pa left hand side a little past Shorewood Country Club, about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. Other than that, there are no really nice places to eat in Dunkirk.

As far as Fredonia goes, Rooney's was mentioned earlier and is now called 41 West, it's a nice bar with ok food. As many have said Wing City on route 60 is a pretty good wing place. The White Inn on Main Street, and Rocco's on Orchard St are very good as well. If you don't mind a little drive to Silver Creek (about 15 minutes from the Clarion), there is a place called the Coloney that is very good. They have huge roast beef sandwiches that are out of this world.

I grew up in Dunkirk and my parents and sister still live there, so if you have any questions let me know...

Walleye Willie's is good for the night life. The best place for wings and beef on wick would be Keg & Kettle just up the street (towards Silver Creek). They have awsome food there with good prices. You won't regret it.

  3. I've had my (2nd) HD reciever about a month now.  The first one toasted itself.

Now with the second one I'm getting drop out (like is a storm was approaching) and it will on occaision drop off line and say "searching for satellite".  The weather by the way is fine.

So, before I spend an hour on the phone getting aggravated- am I missing something elementary?  All my other 'normal' recievers are fine.

Is this a Direct TV HD receiver? We had the same problem but on the normal receivers. Pushed the reset button behind the cover for the access card and it seemed to fix the problem.

  4. Bills-Packers on Saturday, Aug 20th, 6pm eastern

The Packers feed may be the better option as it's a C-Band feed vs the Bills Network KU feed.

    Packers at Buffalo Bills

    Satellite: IA-6, Transponder 9 (C-Band)

    Audio: 6.2 / 6.8

Check the link below for any possible changes.

    Packers Preason TV

I think the Bills Network will again be on SBS6- 17 (KU band, horizontal polarity) as the game is a sellout in Buffalo.

    Thanks Bob

Just for anyone with a 4DTV system IA-6 is T-6

  5. I hear that the the Bills - Colts will be on:

    SBS6 Ku 17 (H)

KU Band, horizontal polarity.....far eastern end of the US spectrum.  If I recall from years past, the satellite is hard to tune in but that transponder had one of the stronger signals on that satellite.

I recall too that typically the Bills would contract the same satellite and transponder for the entire preseason.  Let's hope so.  Have fun.

    Go Bills!!

Thanks for the coordinates. The game will be seen :D
