  1. I have noticed a sharp increase in the number of knee injuries on the Bills the past couple of years since Rusty Jones was sent packing during the Donahoe Era. We seldom had this type of injury when Rusty was here as he had stretching programs, nutrition etc which helped to prevent such injuries. Present Knee injuries include Kyle Williams, Demetrius Bell, Marcus Stroud , Jamon Meredith & Terrence McGee- IR Knee injuries are: Derek Fine, Kawika Mitchell, Marcus Buggs, Derek Schouman, Brad Butler & Lydell Sargent

  2. I heard a strange loud noise outside and 10 minutes later my fiance's mother called and said a plane crashed near us. We can see the smoke and red sky right outside our back windows. There's nothing but fields between us and where the plane crashed.

Flight 3407 originated from Newark. Reports are all 48 people on board are dead and at least one on the ground.

Prayers go out to all families affected by this tragedy. Sad day in WNY.

  3. Did you read Marv's Book ? He has won everywhere he has been except Cal at the ned of the Vietnam War when no one at Cal( Berekley) cared about football.

Coe College, New Mexico, William & Mary, Montreal, Turned KC around and the Bills. He hired High School Coaches Bill Walsh and Bobby Ross. Hired a Salesman Bill Polian as a scout. He always shores up the defense first and has a good kicking game ( special teams) then he works on the running game. Notice that he got the O line together. His idea of running back by committee is Thurman Thomas and Kenny Davis. I predict that we will get the stud multidementional back. Similar to what John Butler did with LT or Bill Polian did with Edge.

  4. I have been to the draft twice, both times at the Garden. The first time we walked up at 10:00 AM got a ticket (free) and went in at 11:00 AM it was great.

That was the year we drafted Mike Williams.

The last time ( Lee Evans & JP Loseman were drafted) we went it was a pain in the arse. We went to Broadway show on Friday night ( Insure the domestic tranquility) When we were coming home from the play ( 11PM ) one of my kids noticed a line at the Garden. The found out that they were opening at Midnight to give out wrist bands for the draft. I took my wife back to the Hotel and the kids got in line. We got Wrist bands about 1:30 AM and they said that the wrist band would guarantee you a spot if you were back by 6:00 AM. We went back to the Hotel to get some sleep and then back to the Garden. They let us in at 6:00 AM , but kept us in the hallway so we slept on the floor/ hung around till about 11:30 when they let us in to the Theatre at MSG. In just a few years it went from being all die hard fans to mostly corporate "guests" who had tickets a head of time and got the prime seats. The free open to the public seats were only about 20% of the crowd. It was still interesting and a good time, but not as mcuh fun as in the past.

    Good Luck if you go.

  5. Willis may not have had the best line or QB, but remove yardage and attempts against the Jets and he racked up 715 yds in 12 games. This is an average of 59 yds per game with a 3.3 yds per carry. Willis finished 24th in the league in rushing. He also fumbled 4 times. He also did not know the plays. McGahee thought his 4th down effort was only 3rd down.

He was not the first round bust of Walt Putalski , Tony Hunter or Mike Williams proportion - but he was no better then an Al Cowlings or Perry Tuttle.

    Just an average dude.

  6. Too bad he wasn't a good receiver in Cleveland. That game still pisses me off....even more than Homerun Throwup.

Are you referring to the "Forward Lateral" Game ? This is the only appropriate reference.

They never show the overhead shot on the highlights. Joe Theismann taking out the marker and showing how the ball was in back of the line

when thrown and caught in front of the line. Theismann saying, " Don't get to excited, that one is coming back. "It is a forward lateral"

  7. If you take away the 2 Jet Games- Willis had 715 yards on 217 carries for a 3.29 Yards per Carry, 59 yards per game. Also fumbled 4 times

He had 1 year left on his contract, which he wanted to renegotiate so that he could be paid as an "elite back " even though he finished 24th in rushing in 2006. Marv was able to trade him and get 2 - 3rd round picks and a 7th round pick !!

Marv can no longer be considered a "high character guy" as he has robbed the Ravens.

  8. The rich get richer and teams like Buffalo get poorer.

    Sad.

Nate is good not great- and as the 49ers found out after they showered money on Jonas, that is a lot of cap dollars for one player.

When the player gets injured, you have nothing . Read Marv's book if you haven't done so, he has won every where he has been with the

exception of Berkley at the end of the Vietnam war. He is putting together a team- not just overpaying some free agent stars. This has worked

well for the Pats- Overpaying players that you have heard of has not worked out to well for Daniel Snyder in Washington.

You need to cover all positions with good players and have some depth. Throwing big dollars at one postion leaves you with holes at other positions.

  9. I mean come on....the niners? I guess he does not care about going to a half way decent team with any kind of shot...he just wants the money a la Edgerrin James. He went where the money was and is now playing on a dreadful team (Cards) while his former team won the SB....when will these people learn that the grass is not always greener....money is good but if you are eating dirt to get it then it is not so great...oh well B-)

Nate seems to be heading down that path if he signs with SF....

San Francisco was coming on at the end of the year last year. The Miami running back that did not blow out his knee(Frank Gore) was pretty impressive and led the NFC in rushing .I pick the 9er's as a playoff team for this upcoming year.

  10. As a Bills Fan in the Capital District you only have a couple of choices because of the crappy coverage the Bills get locally. Sports Bar , NFL Ticket on Direct TV or go to a friends house who has Direct TV.

I opted for Direct TV 5 years ago. Takes all the worry out of whether or not you can see the game- The only time I miss a game now on TV is when I go to the game= then I record it on DVR.

It's worth every penny and less expensive then going to the sports bar.

    Go Bills !!

  11. I must have been at camp the same night as Boondckcl. I thought Gibson was a beast. He smoked several Defensive Lineman. He looked like he was making significant progress. I would guess that the Bills are only going to keep 9 O-Lineman and then keep one of the rookies on the practice squad

  12. I saw Aaron Gibson at training camp, and he was kick ass ! He could be on the bubble as far as making the roster. It depends on whether we keep 9 or 10 O-Linemen The guy is a beast. If he can keep his weight under control he could be a contributor.

  13. Neufield

    Campbell

    Bennie

    Wire

    Burns

Moulds can still play, if he takes a cut-keep him

since he won't have to threaten to fight Mike Williams for coming off the field he can focus on football

Aiken is a beast on ST- He MUST stay, could be an ST ProBowler

Put Adams on the stairstepper till training camp, if he loses some weight he could still be effective- If he doesn't Marv can have another short press conference in July
