  1. if we can get a earlier 2nd rounder via Henry trade, then I think CB is a real option, because of this, Greer and Thomas are our nickel and dime backs.  Marlin Jackson and Carlos Rogers don't appear to be 1st rounder at the moment.  Getting another good CB is an almost must, also we are on the eve of Pro Bowler Clements' FA.  We need quality depth.  Or OL, if Elton Brown is there take him.

another player growning on me is Logan Mankins, not to play tackle but as a LG, could be drafted in the 3rd or 4th and start the next day.  I also think that OLB is a position that should be addressed along with WR and TE.

In a dream this would be ideal

    2a-Elton Brown-Pile mover

    2b-Marlin Jackson CB

    3-Mike Nugent

    4-Vincent Jackson TE

5-Robert McCune OLB runs a 4.4 40 at 245 pounds but is already 26, former National Guard

    6-Micheal Munoz-Injuries

7-Taylor Stubblefield -not fast but shifty could make a good Slot WR very productive in College

Love the Marlin Jackson and Nugent picks not sure of others other than Munoz..If we do draft Munoz though we will get more TV play

  2. You are crazy!!!!!!!

Evans is cut out of the Price mold explosive and fast but can't cut a defense up with power like Moulds.  Evans will be a great number 2, Moulds will keep him as a very productive number 2 like he did with Price.  But speed isn't everything when you are sitting in double coverage all game like Moulds.  You have to be strong and take the ball, like Moulds does.  So while I agree Moulds has to restructure it's not like Drew where if he doesn't he's gone.  He's doing to win football games because he wants to go to the playoff's and have a chance to win.  So over all I love Evans but he's not a number 1 receiver.

Absolutely agree with you and come on Moulds has always been awesome

  3. I have been thinking about the WR position, and have come to believe that TD has some very seriouus decisions to make. What TD will do will to a large degree depend on his evaluation of, and expectations about Evans.

Moulds is due to count more than 8 million vs. the cap. To his credit, he is willing to renegotiate, and wants to remain in Buffalo. Imo, we still need Eric because our younger receivers haven't shown much. A case could be made that Josh Reed even sucks.

I am thinking that Evans will be a star in this league, and will step into the role as the #1 receiver on the Bills before the 05 is over, especially if Drew is not the starter.

If TD thinks the same way, I doubt that he will sign Moulds to a very large contract. Eric can be a GREAT #2 wideout, but those guys tend not to be paid the huge salaries. Imo, these will be tough negotiations. I hope Moulds will remain on the team, but he may have to take a pretty big pay cut in order to do so.

This is going to be one wild offseason.

Evans is like Peerless great deep threat but nobody beats Moulds over the middle Eric is a #1

  4. Nugent will go in the 2nd round this year for the following reasons:

    (1) The kid is downright good!

    (2) Overall, this is a weak draft meaning that the level of talent is not as deep as in previous drafts.  Therefore, the cream of the crop will rise to the top, regardless of position.  I think we will see more teams taking the approach of "draft the best available player" than ever before.

    (3) Several teams, as many as 4 teams as reported by Mel Kiper, are really high on Nugent.  When you get that kind of supply and demand relationship, stock rises and so will Nugent's!

    (4) Did I mention that the kid is downright good?

Be suprised if he goes second but heck then let us take him in second, What do we really need. I say drop Bledsore an resign our OL then take him in 2nd
