do they rest the starters? preventing the risk of injury going in to the post season?
Sean McDermott not revealing whether he’ll rest starters in Week 17
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday afternoon, McDermott indicated he knows what he’s going to do for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. But he’s not saying.
The Bills are currently the AFC’s No. 2 seed, though they could fall to No. 3 if the Steelers beat the Browns and Buffalo loses to Miami.
But because there’s no longer a second playoff bye, the Bills’ outcome for wild card weekend won’t change much based on Sunday’s results — they’re slated to host a playoff game either way.
or keep the momentum going with their foot on the gas and battle for 2 seed while knocking miami out of the post season and sweeping the division?
If Buffalo does play its starters, that gives the club a better chance of keeping Miami out of the postseason. If the Dolphins win, they’re in. They can still get in if they lose, but they’ll need some help to do it.
I really hate to see them throw this game by resting starters. it goes against how they have been playing up until this point, dominating pretty much as they've gone along through the season, setting records along the way. more records to be set yet.
they continue the momentum, resting no one until the 4th when the game is secured.

I can see them finishing 8-8 or 9-7, man. as a long time fan, like many here, we have seen these fast starts before and the end result always seemed to be the same. start hot, finish flat. this team seemed to be different with making the playoffs twice and having finished 10-6 last season and making the postseason, giving hope that they were actually on the rise. looking back, they really did not beat but only one top tier team to reach that 10-6 record, tenn finished 9-7 and made the post season. not a top tier really at the time but a team no doubt on the rise in nashville. the cowboys game, although at the time was a hell of a game, dallas finished at 8-8, missing the postseason. the steelers win came w/o big ben and they too finished, 8-8. so they have yet, going in to this season, found a way to hang with the big dogs. so at this point, they may still be a 9-7 team, or possibly worse with the remainder of the schedule looking to be pretty tough.
I want to add, not really giving them excuses but the reality is, this season has been a mess with this pandemic, man. how do you get motivated for a big game, monday night game no less, when the stadium is empty with crappy crowd noise piped in? imagine if you will, the stadium full of 70,000+ fans under the lights on monday night?
not that the 12th man necessarily guarantees they play better, but it certainly would give them more motivation then playing in an empty stadium, in the rain, on monday afternoon. it has to be a drag, as a player to play under those conditions it would seem to me, man.

I’m not even sure what you are saying to me. I just said I wouldn’t be surprised if we miss the playoffs.
let me reiterate, man. you said you wouldn't be surprised if they missed the playoffs. I added (in somewhat of an agreement), how does a team that wins only 7 or 8 games (unless it's the seattle seahawks) make the playoffs (I should of added) "anyway".
sorry to be confusing there, man.
this team can not hang with the big dogs yet. sure they will likely beat the jets, may split with the fins and unless McD can figure out how to beat a crippled pats team, BB still has his number.

team is not ready to compete. boo on me. I will gladly serve up a large plate of crow "if" they can prove me wrong, man.

I’d be surprised if we make the playoffs. The patriots are going to run all over us and the schedule is very difficult. Making the playoffs will not be easy
how does a team that only wins 7 or 8 games make the playoffs, man?
call it over reacting all you want, but watching this team play the last two games, one should not expect them to reach the post season.
real hard game to watch, man.

Star missing is hurting the ability to stop the run. LBs are getting sealed off.
Jordan Phillips missing hurts our inside pass rush. He was disruptive in pass rush.
Lorenzo missing is hurting LB play and leadership.
The defense is clearly not as good as last year. Injuries to Milano/Edmunds have contributed to poor play. Oliver is playing hurt and has not been a factor. Depth at CB and LB are problem areas, as they were last year.
this says it all right here, man
defense has fallen off from the past and it's a drag because had they held the defense together and/or added players equal or better they had lost, this team would be a serious contender.
don't know how they turn it around this season but it is a MUST issue to address with the next draft and free agency.
monday afternoon (that sounds weird, man) will be a true test for this team going up against the sb champs and the mahomes kid.
