Yeah, I would assume that as well.

I think Corey Davis will be cheaper than John Brown, as well. Although we're trying to update speed and I'm not really sure Corey gets us there.

Jonnu is a fast TE / Big that is something like the Bills need. I'd love a lot of 2 TE sets with Knox and Jonnu (assuming Knox takes a big step)

For what Corey lacks in speed (and he’s not show by any means), he makes up for in route running. He also works his ass off from a blocking perspective too.

From what I’ve seen of the Bills this year, Jonnu is essentially Dawson Knox with hands. 🙃

I'd love to take a look at Malik Hooker, Karl Joseph, Keanu Neal. All guys that are safeties, high prospect talent that may do well with a change of scenery. I think Malik Hooker would be great here with better coaching.

I don't see how Tenn let's him walk but if they do... Jonnu Smith.

If Indy let's him walk.... Marlon Mack would be a great addition to this offense.

I'd also bring Hassan Reddick, De'Vondre Campbell, and Anzalone in for a visit, at least.

I'd like to see us at least take a look at Denzel Perryman too. May allow us to kick Edmunds outside (if they decide that's the route they want to go).

Unfortunately, I don’t think the Titans will be able to sign Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith.

I’d prefer the Titans sign Corey, but I can see a team outbidding us. He is a VERY solid #2. His route running has really improved and has very reliable hands.

Jonnu is an athletic freak that has a chance to take it the distance on any given play and is a redzone monster. However, his route running leaves a lot to be desired.

Honestly, I expect the guy we don’t retain to end up on the Bills.

  3. Titans fan here.

I thought Josh played very well outside of that 2nd interception.

    • The Titans were clearly conceding the short throws so as not to give up the big plays. John Brown being inactive made that 50x easier to execute.
    • He was very efficient on 3rd downs (giving up multiple 3rd and longs per game is a disturbing trend for the Titans). He showed a lot of grit on a couple of those 3rd down runs.
    • He was getting no help from his receivers and o-line with the drops and false starts.
    • Not to mention there was zero threat of a run game. Seriously what was up with that? We have been awful against the run and we were without easily our best run stuffer in Simmons.

The NFL’s the type of game where a couple plays can completely turn a game on its head. That seemed to be the case last night. White being out was obviously massive considering Tannehill would’ve been throwing to the sisters of the poor if AJ had been limited by Tre.

With that being said, hoping to see you boys again in the playoffs where we’re both at full strength.

I fells this way too and I’ve done it for a lot of Bills qbs before.  I think Allen is the best leader we’ve had in a long time but it always worries me he has never been a dominate player really on any level with all of his skills.

side question, what happened with Marcus? He made me nervous as prospect but then had a really nice 2nd year.

He simply didn't get any better. Actually regressed after his 2nd season.

He always had ***** footwork in the pocket, but it got worse as the years went on. I always held my breath when he was in the pocket because he'd be so indecisive if his first read wasn't open. He'd either pump fake, throw a ***** pass, or take a sack.

One of his biggest downfalls was not understanding what "NFL open" is. He was always afraid of making mistakes so he never really gave his receivers a chance. If the receiver didn't have 2 steps of separation he wasn't throwing that way.

He's also one of the least elusive fast guys I've ever seen. His pocket awareness was awful so many times he wouldn't take that step to avoid a sack and many times would step right into the sack.

Honestly I think his multiple injuries might've messed with his confidence a little.

  5. Titans fan here,

Can I just say that this board is nearly a mirror image of excuse making between Allen and Mariota. I’m talking in terms of inconsistency, drops, and holding onto the ball too long. At some point they simply don’t have it (not saying this is the consensus on Allen, he’s still plenty young). I think Year 3 is the biggest indicator for knowing whether they have “it”.

IMO, the single biggest factor in a quality NFL QB is the ability to process the field. If they can make all the throws that’s great, but without the ability to process the field and progress through the reads it doesn’t really matter what throws they can make.

To be fair, I think Allen has a much better chance of success than Mariota did.

    Signed,

Butthurt Titans fan who was all-in on Pineapple Tebow his couple of years.
