I don’t get going for a 53 yard FG by any means. What I do understand (barely) is having faith that you can win it if you can just get it to OT. But yes agree, it’s a disturbing trend with McDermott.

I sort of understand the idea of playing for the field goal and winning in overtime. 
 

But they were marching and moving the ball well. You have to send the message to your QB that you believe in him to win it NOW, not in OT. They played scared football and sent a message that they didn’t believe Josh could deliver in the moment. They might erode Josh’s confidence by teaching him to play Tyrod ball. They can teach ball security while at the same time allowing Josh to sling it. And I’m afraid they might ruin what makes him a potentially good QB.

This loss is squarely on McDermott. He NEEDS to tell Daboll that Singletary needs more than 3 carries in the first half. That is unacceptable. He is our offensive identity. Period. Allen cannot carry this team right now. How many comeback and hook routes can we run for Brown. Stop. A coordinator takes his orders from his boss and McDermott is where this all starts. We cannot play to not lose. We have all seen it. I do like McDermott. A lot. But we cannot play timid, especially when we were moving the ball that last drive.

Knox will be fine. Had a horrible drop today but he has the tools to be successful on this team and in this league. He will bounce back and will need him next week vs the birds

[Bills -1 over Philly]

Bills can obviously win this game. Eagles run D is great so Allen will need to bring his arm and make GOOD decisions. 
 

Defense as usual will keep us in the game and getting Milano back will be huge. Good game next week at the Ralph. This will be the game the offense will have to show the defense that they can return the favor.
