If you're referring to Hall being caught from behind on his 80yrd carry, that was Benford that ran him down, not Bernard.

A bunch of people mixed them up because the names are so close and they both have #s in the 40's (and they're almost the same size )

Just watched YouTube and you are right! Wow, they look like the same player, makes much more sense that a corner could catch him. So Bernard really didn’t have a great first game, noticeably improved this game

    obviously.

but there are positives that haven't been discussed much or at all.  i'm interested in discussing those.

whether it's net positive we shall see.

I think there could be a positive here - when has McD gotten in trouble as a head coach?

When he is overthinking in big spots, getting too smart for his own good. 13 seconds shell defense a prime example. Conservative offensive play calling in big spots, which I am sure he has a hand in at the end of big games.

If calling defensive plays gets him out of his head and into his gut or even lower regions (going for it on 4th down as much as he can!), this could be a good thing for him and the team in big games.

When this team is aggressive and plays with fire and doesn’t overthink, it’s one of the best in the league.

  3. Jerry Hughes. The one series in the third quarter, the Bills worst quarter by far this year, he made a play on every play of that series, ending with a strip sack. Then he followed that up with a monster fourth with a pick to seal it. We don’t win this game without Jerry Hughes. Finally showed up and I don’t care if it’s the Jets. He plays like that, Bills defense will be getting off the field more.
