One game at a time please!

If the Bills beat the Browns it will be one step closer to finally kicking the Billsy habit.

This is the exact type of game the Billsy Bill's show up in. Under achieving Browns team coming off an embarrassing loss. Against a Bills team that looked respectable in a win. The type of game that slaps the fan base back to reality.
I'll be a happy man if the Bills prove me wrong. Do you think shameless begging will help...please pleased please don't lose to the Browns.
The Bills have escaped being Billsy quite a few times this season, I worry that the well might dry up eventually.

he can take all the mental Reps all week. And not face an actual rep until walkthrough and he is fine to play.
and we want him to play. He gives us the best chance to win sunday
I certainly want him to play, that's why I'm being a pain about the protocol stuff lol.

no proof of that Many players have been cleared from the protocol in a week.I guess what I am saying is he'd need to be cleared early in the week to get practice reps. All those steps seem like they would take a week at least.
I guess I'm basing my opinion on the game plan changes with Barkley at QB vs. Allen, maybe it doesn't.

Do you pay attention to the rest of the league?
Yes but things change. Teams playing crappy now might not be in a few weeks. Cleveland is not "done" or in "trouble" like so many want to think. The Ravens are certainly not done, and is always a team the Bills fail to play well against. By the time they play the Steelers their young QB could be playing better, etc.

This team is capable of playing with and beating EVERYONE on their schedule. Yes, even the Patriots. I challenge anyone here to debate this point.
Also, we know they have a VERY good chance of making the post-season in a down AFC. They're one of THREE teams in the AFC with a winning record. This is a doable thing. Time to quit being chicken littles and buck up.
I think it's way too early for playoff talk. We have to see how they respond from this loss, with a backup QB no less.

It depends he could practice by Wednesday or Thursday if he clears some steps and still be in the protocol as long as the neurologist signs off before Sunday.
It just strikes me that this coaching staff would go with the guy taking 1st team reps all week, Barkley. Allen would have to be practicing Wed and Thurs with the guarantee he'd start, otherwise he's taking reps from Barkley.

Agree. JA was our best chance to win. That game plan was terrible, and should have been quick one to two step drops with the ball out.
Dabol did a terrible job.
From what I understand that was part of the game plan, but Allen was not making use of those options. Either those guys were not getting open, or Allen was not reading correctly.
-
Does anyone have a step by step chart of the concussion protocol and what is needed to pass each stage?
I'm wondering if like the first stage is to wait a few days, which right there might kill Allen's availability for Sunday. I'm not at all confident in Barkley and Allen needs to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible so this defense is not wasted.
-
So far McDermott has a very bad record against good teams. And his team plays down to the level of lesser teams. Not a good combination. He's also terrible with timeouts and challenges.
-
Allen gets a D- from me today. Just terrible, reason why they lost. So disappointing. Probably the best defense in the league geared to stop Brady and the offense once again was the reason for the loss. Only reason he doesn't get an F is he was injured and could not finish.
-
I need to see Allen start learning from his mistakes. If he's making the same mistakes and losing games 4-5 weeks from now, yes, I will be losing faith in him for sure.

A starting QB in the protocol could however.

Do the Rams have talent ? because they couldn’t score in the SB. The Bills are not there yet at the skill positions, but I still think this game could have went their way if Allen finishes.
Can't compare the WR's of the Bills vs. the Rams, night & day.

Yeah, this game killed his %.

McD souns pissed about the hit on Allen and the pick play - as he should be, but did say neither of them lost us the game
What lost them the game is really a lack of talent on offense. We still find the Bills in this state. That has to change for next season for sure or I will start to question Beane's skills.

....well then you certainly arent going by how he played for 90% of the game. We had so many chances to win this game...and just screwed up time after time.Thats why we worry about JA mentally....which is way more of a concern than his inaccuracy.Good coaches and smart players can work around their physical limitations
No, I am not going by how he played 90% of the game. All he needed was one more drive. He could have done it IMO.

If Josh Allen didn't get hurt, the Bills would have won this game. That's my takeaway
-
They need to cut ties with Zay Jones. I know they drafted him, but c'mon, he's terrible.

Sure the refs were involved, but so was a blocked punt for a TD and 4 interceptions
Yes. All the Bills had to do was play a bit better.

Sure hope he doesn't miss any time. He has a lot of learning to do.
