  1. I was at that game, sitting straight across from the non-1st down first down Jefferson was given. Way short, clearly. Then the travesty of a pass interference call on the Hail Mary toss. Just sickening.

I remember laying low all game with my Bills gear not showing much so I didn't have to put up with any nonsense...then after all that garbage walked out yelling "TRAVESTY! THIS IS A TRAVISTY!" Not one pats* fan argued with me about that, but more than one came up and said "Yes...but we'll take it!"

The Bills fought hard that night too... and really deserved the win (they rightfully had). It was awful. Twilight Zone sort of stuff.

  2. Screw PSLs. I have good 40-yard line/sideline seats, so I would pay premium PSL prices if this were to occur. I am an average Joe...not a Richie Rich. I've had them going on 14 or 15 years, so do the math. I've seen so much s**tty football that as far as I am concerned, I PAID MY PSL IN ADVANCE!!!!! Enough corporate welfare. In fact, the NFL should pay taxes too. :wallbash:

In Buffalo PSL = Bye bye Bills...hello LA or Toronto. Buffalo can not handle that type of economic model.

  3. I heard Panthers Coach Ron Riviera on Sirius leading up to their next game. Pat Kirwan asked him about the 6 sacks in the game...what were the reasons?...the QB, was it on the line, the D, etc.? He started with that one and said the Bills tried to trick them...."well, not trick us...they flat out blitzed." He said it was one of those things coaches always sit around and talk about: "What would happen if someone ever did that?" ...but then no one would ever really try it. He said after what he saw...maybe more people WOULD try it now, and laughed. It was - in technical terms - a ballsy call. We've really got some kind of coach on D boys and girls.

  4. I too left with about 6 min left or so. I come from the Albany area and have a 5 hr drive home. If a closer game -- I'd be there -- but I need to beat the traffic to some degree or the ride becomes 7-8 hrs fast. I come out in the am, tailgate, game, then long drive home. A long day as it is -- with work the next day. If I lived there or close -- I'd stay til they kicked me out of the lot after -- but under the circumstances, that's what I need to do. I'd never leave in a close game, etc...but I don't feel bad under the circumstances. I pay full price for my seasons too and have been coming forever...so loyalty is no issue. Buy tickets and go to to the games. Keep 'em sold out and keep the team in Buffalo. BUT...don't b***h about the fans that make the trek if you are at home on the comfy couch. Just sayin'.

  5. I know many are upset we did not land a QB in this draft, considering the extremely weak looking play of Thigpen. A few guys they may have wanted (Wilson, Cousins) were gone, and looks like they did not think anyone else was worth a pick (maybe hoping to land someone at day's end via the UFA route). I think what many of us are currently forgetting is that there is still a real long way to go before the season starts. I think we will upgrade the backup position before the season, maybe as late as mid-camp if necessary -- as other teams start to trim rosters. How good a QB? A player to groom behind Fitz? I'd think maybe, but more likely, a journeyman type, servicable guy, being cut by one of these teams who did pick up young talent. I know Beck was cut -- but that isn't the guy. Be patient...and something will come our way. Buddy knows what he's doing. Looking at the "Todd Collins-esque dear in the headlights" look Thigpen seemed to wear last season, ya gotta think something better will pop up somewhere along the line. GO GO BUFFALO!!!

  6. I heard Polian on Sirius last week. He was saying...with a pick this high...you take someone who gets touchdowns or hits the qb. You never take a guard, and only take a franchise type tackle ( not a pretty good one that should really go in the 20s). We took a real franchise OT a while back (big Mike)...but that was just unlucky...not a bad pick at the time...really a no brainier. In this draft kalil may be worthy...but none of the others (at 10). Pick the playmaker at 10, or an impact defensive player if he's gone...and get the OT later ( with Hairston penciled in as the Guy). Kalil somehow drops...then do it.

  7. I missed it and caught on the recap there were numerous trades and the Bills traded from 10 to 8 (I missed the compensation...but above says a third -- less than I thought'd be). For Kalil at that spot -- YES. In the 2nd they had us pick up the #1 TE.
