Allen was visibly limping after that stupid pass attempt to him.

And yes, I'm really complaining about a 25 yard gain on third down if he had an open guy with a clear lane he could have thrown to 21 yds down the field.  He's a QB.  His job is to throw the ball.  If he's too exhausted to make the best throw to win the game because he's running instead of throwing earlier in the game, it's a problem.

Could not agree more, he needs to stand in the pocket and deliver the ball to guys who are being paid to do the running. The last half of the season was supposed to be for Allen to gain experience and show everyone he is not who he was in college, that's not happening...

He passes the eye test like no other I've seen in Buffalo since Kelly.

But what is most important, Kelly was a 60%+ completion QB in a time when it was harder to complete passes.  Allen is a 50% passer in a day and age when the league does its best to tie CB's hands behind their backs.

You are being absolutely ridiculous comparing Allen to Kelly.  Eye tests don't mean ***** and you know it.

  3. I'm wondering, how could you possibly think this?  No, they will not win the next 3 games.  The best thing for them would be to lose all 3.  They have a real chance here to finish in the top 5 without trading up. If you want a bunch of linemen to continue the Josh Allen experiment, you get a top 5 pick, trade down with a QB desperate team and pick your O-Linemen later in the first and subsequent rounds.

I like the OP's perspective and analysis.  Seems to have more brains than a lot of Bills fans here IMO.

That's not very hard to accomplish.

In terms of Allen vs. Darnold, in the long run a 50% completion rate isn't going to get you anywhere in the league. Allen can run around all he wants and many Bills fans will call him a playmaker, but he needs to make plays with his arm not legs. He's had the opportunity to do so in the last two weeks and has failed both times with errant throws. He will eventually wash out, and will take the FO with him.

So are you ready to say the same thing about Josh Rosen after his last epically historically bad performance? Just curious if the same hot take standards apply across all of the rookies or just for JA?

I would have to pay as much attention to the other rookie QB's as I do Allen, as much attention to the other teams and their FO's, and what they have done in the last few drafts etc, I do not.

What's damning about Allen being selected is the pre-draft info on him, yet the Bills selected him anyways, now they have to deal with the consequences. So far Allen is what all the pundits said he would be, what his college career projected he would be.

Well, with your choice of name it’ll be tough for JA to ever win you over, eh? Kind of limits the ceiling he can ever have in your book without you looking silly. But hey, let’s revisit @ end of this year, maybe you’ll be the smart one!

I already know that I am.  McBeane will be gone in 2 years and Allen will be the latest Bills QB bust.  Another 3 seasons wasted because the FO went against ALL odds and drafted a project QB that had no business being taken in the 1st round.  Can't get any more BIllsy.

  7. It would be so Billsy that Allen comes back from this injury and no longer has the cannon arm, ya know, the reason the Bills drafted him, so he could throw through the Buffalo weather or somesuch nonsense.  He'd still be a terrible QB either way.

At lest we don't have to wait 1.5 seasons while he recovers from Tommy Johns to find out he's a bust, so there's that.

It was the first time they have ever really pressed him and he didn't like it.  McDermott was snappy with them the whole time and once told Schopp "I'm not sure what your asking" in a condescending tone.  Then hung up without saying goodbye haha.

It's obvious he is not HC material, on and off the field.

if somebody is proclaiming any player a bust 5 games in they're ignorant. whether the troll-ish remarks pan out or not. its still dumb to make proclamations so early.

What if they knew the player was a bust before they even suited up to play in the NFL?  Isn't this what talent evaluation is for? Why some teams pick different players given the opportunity?

There's a lot of space in between "not happy with every move the Bills have made", and pronouncing a rookie QB a bust after 5 games.

There's a good bit of additional space between pronouncing him  a bust, and prospectively proclaiming him such in one's screen name.

So if Allen busts, and McBeane gets canned, were those fans trolls after all?

Were the Losman and EJ haters trolls, or did they have a point that most Bills fans did not want to hear because it upset their echo chamber?
