All this idiot wants to talk about on a supposed Buffalo sports talk radio station is fantasy football. Who cares about your 20 teams and who you should start or trade for. This station and program is NOT all about you!!! Can't stand this moron anymore. Don't know how Bulldog sits through all this crap.

Fantasy football is extremely popular. Stop whining and stop listening.

I don't need to do that....I've made that case all over this board...no need to do it again right now....

Consider this Bills fans.....IF you all believe in the process etc....then you really need to embrace what that entails...WAY too many of you (not all) haven't honestly considered what the current FO is having to do here....

    1.  You are in salary cap hell.  There simply isn't any magic that fixes that until you get past all this dead money.

    2.  You did in fact draft a QB who isn't ready to go out of the box.  That's FINE for now as long as you understand that is what you have right now...and even if he is more ready than that, your roster isn't.

    3.  Your team made the playoffs in a year where you had a negative point differential and some stuff fell your way.  Matt Cassel once led one of the worst Chiefs teams I have ever seen, to a division title using smoke a mirrors one year...the schedule broke just right, every bounce went our way...the underlying stats and the eye test told us all they were awful.  The Bills are aweful, and they weren't that much less awful last year.

Given that...at this point, you are on schedule.  If you can just come to terms with the idea that THIS year is going to be miserable and it has to be that way to wait out the cap and to develope your QB, you'll be fine.  in 2019, you'll be picking top of draft and have money to spend....AND if it is meant to be, then Allen will have become more NFL ready.  You can then spend big on that roster to actually then find out if the QB you have is the man.

This may or may not work but at MINIMUM, you have to let these guys undue the cap hell and see Allen through enough to determine if they got it right or not.  Any new regime would have to carry through with the SAME plan for the first year at least anyway.

Stay the course.  Watch a lot of college football to see wich D Lineman you like this year...supposed to be a prime D Lineman draft coming up.  Watch some youtubes of your reactions making the playoffs....it sucks, but the real progress can't begin until you get through this year.  Good luck.

No no...I am saying you were right about Mahomes. Not saying you were here to gloat or anything like that. I appreciate other teams’ fans around here bud.

Its just kind of bizarre to not really address the oline after the departures of wood, cogs, and glenn. i mean why did they even go to cogs about a paycut??! the dude had a probowl year.

You cant reasonably expect a 5th round pick and bodine to realistically cover those holes can you?

    idk. i dont get it.

Only thing I can guess with the incognito pay cut is they saw him unraveling before we did. If not, no excuse for that move. Wood? Out of their hands. Glenn was on the sideline most games last year anyways; hindsight I would have still kept him around.

Someone had asked about the summary of the trade involving Mahomes etc...here it is....but it doesn't include any subsequent moves to get further up in this years draft for Allen.

    Chiefs Get :

    QB Pat Mahomes (R1 pick 10, 2017)

    Bills Get:

    CB Tre White (R1 pick 27, 2017)

Pick 91 (R3 pick 91, 2017) packaged with other picks for trade up to 37.  Rams used pick on S John Johnson.  Bills go to (R2 pick 37, 2017) and select WR Zay Jones.

Pick 21 (R1 pick 21, 2018) packaged with other picks for trade up to 16.  Ravens traded out with Titans who used the pick on LB Rashaan Evans.  Bills go to (R1 pick 16, 2018) and select LB Tremaine Edmunds.

Esentially, after it was all said and done, it was Mahomes for Tre White, Zay Jones and Tre Edmunds more or less ish.

Just came to say you are probably right about Mahomes.

I hate saying this but captain checkdown was WAYYY better than Peterman has ever shown. Edwards had good games and even won a few. Peterman.. do I need to even go there?

Love it. You’re definitely right too. Not sure how I could have done it but I actually gave peterman too much credit.

Yes, he is backup caliber.  It doesn't matter, if Peterman plays or not on a team, that doesn't change the fact that Kaepernick has sucked as a starting QB after his first year when he was new and before DC's figured him out.  Once they started taking away what he was good at, he never had any answer for it. No team is ever winning anything with Kaerpernick as their starting QB anymore. He regressed badly and was getting worse as he kept playing...not a good sign.  So yes, if he isn't going to be a top 10 QB in the league, no team is going to take on that headache.  Case Keenum played very well last year and played very well again today.  Taylor and Kaepernick might be similar players, the difference is Taylor doesn't throw INTs and doesn't cause headaches for his team.  He is a marginal starting QB as we all know. Is Taylor going to take a team to the Super Bowl?  Hell no.  If he started doing what Kaepernick did with the media circus that would come with it, he would find himself out of the NFL as well.

I agree matter he did regress and no he probably wont ever be a top 10 QB again. But marginal starter? That’s better than what we have right now and personally I could give a **** about his political baggage. BUT i know the owners do. But disregarding all that, for the sake of argument, I think he improves that QB room at OBD. That’s all I am saying.

It will take a large set of marbles from whoever ends up signing Kaep, if it ever happens. I personally would like it if it were the Bills, but I highly doubt that happening.

Not sure we could afford him and the two guys we signed on DL.  Yes, he would have helped.  Just don’t expect to find much OL help in free agency and expect to pay a premium.

    But hey, we got Bodine.

What about Solder? Cap strapped and all that i get it I guess but aggressive spending would have helped that’s my only point. And I will grant that the Bills were in a unique position this offseason with regards to their OL, with the anchor center suffering a career ending chronic injury and the left guard going bonkers. But there were people out there to pay to help the line. How much they give Vontae? Gaines? Murphy? I’ll pass on those 3 and give all the money to one of those linemen.

  8. Peterman is toast. He’s trent edwards after the adrian wilson hit. And unless he has the iron will of someone like winston churchill or someone comparable, he ain’t ever coming back.

Kap would cost a lot. Peterman on a 5th round rookie contract? Cheap.

So the one could argue it’s about managing the Kap (pun intended).

but yea, not a good look.

Would Kaep cost that much at this point?

Kapernick doesn't have a case.  He is out of the NFL because no team wants a backup caliber player that causes that much of a distraction and that many headaches for their teammates who will have to deal with a media circus and answer questions regarding Kaepernick all year long every media session.  The problem he has is that if he wants to cause elite level problems for an NFL team, he has to have elite level talent that forces them to have to put up with it.  He doesn't have that.  Plain and simple.  If this was Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Cam Newton teams would grudgingly put up with it because talent trumps everything in the NFL.

He’s backup caliber? Do we really know that though? When various NFL teams today started people like Nathan Peterman, Sam Bradford, Case Keenum, Tyrod Taylor? Is Kaep a ‘backup’ on every team? I don’t think so.

Just said that we’re the worst team in the NFL. But he also said “there is some good news Billsmafia, you all like to drink. And break stuff. And light stuff on fire”.....

Is that what we’re known for now, primarily? Christ.

    i still like SVP though.

Do your own googling?   What a moron. LOL.

    Ha ha.

I miss hit the quote button. But what about Norwell? You were the one saying there was no one out there. There’s one chief.

I think we all expected the offense to struggle maybe not this much but still breaking in a new qb and 3 new starting olinemen...We are absolute garbage with essentially the same guys who where arguably better then the Jaguars defense we played in the playoffs last year...Might be time for McDermott to take over the defensive playcalling from Frazier

It’s, to quote a former poster here, “concerning.” But you’re right there is really only one unit on the defense (secondary) that is in any way, sort of, squared away. The D line is a mess. Hughes is not who he used to be. Star looks disinterested. Kyle is old. Shaq is nonexistent. LBs, Edmunds made some splash plays today and Milano played over his head but those two are gonna take a while to develop, if they ever do.
