  1. I would consider 3 picks and being pulled a "repeat performance"

Some are being a little to literal. I'm just asking what are the chances he looks just like he did in the aforementioned game- not that he replicates his stat line to a "T"

Thanks to those who responded! I'm not an expert by any means, but I had a sincere fear that he'll look just like he did that game.

I'm glad so many of you (who probably know far more about football than me!) think that he will look much improved. Makes me feel a little better. Can't wait till Sunday!

    Why no 0%?

same reason as no 90%, 100%

I'm not a statistician, but my options are most statistically realistic, I think

    I voted 5%... but it’s more like 1.75%.

Thank you for merging your sentiments with the available options!

FTR, I hope Peterman wins this game for us. I just worry whether or not he can perform at an NFL level before I see it consistently in NFL(non-preseason) games. And I thought he looked better than Tyrod last preseason.

  3. let me clarify:

if you say 2 of the 5 picks weren't on him, from that game-

...you could consider a 3-pick half a "repeat performance," if they're all on him. Splitting hairs? I don't know...

    FWIW,

I wanted them to start Peterman last year. I was nearly indifferent about who they started this season, given the implications of each scenario.

    Just venting here...

McCoach is not making a good impression here.  He is either lying or just plain inept.

Lets say, he is just lying about who is going to start. WHY? Why lie? It is not a good look.

Let's say he just doesn't know. Really? Is he that incompetent in evaluating talent? It is not a good look.

Let's say, he secretly favored someone to start, but the someone has not shown in other coaches eyes. What if the delay is just to give said favorite one last time to shine? It is not a good look.

To delay such an important decision sets the whole team back.  It is not just at Quarterback, there seems to be great indecision on the O Line as well.

WTF is up with the coaching staff of the Bills they all are looking like idiots right about now?

Trust the process. What process exactly? Could someone point me to a detailed breakdown of the process he's referring to? Or is it a process that's dictated to him from on high? (sorry, cheap-shot)

  5. I think they might start Peterman for the same reason they started him last year- to see what he's got (in this case, to see if what he's got is better than last season).

There's no risk to letting Allen sit at the beginning of the season. As people said, there's a chance they both may play equally poorly against a top NFL defense, for different reasons.

Honestly, I think if Peterman starts, he'll look exactly like he did when he started last season. People are saying "everyone has a bad game." But that's different when you have a respectable body of regular-season work. (Peterman looked good last preseason, too.)

It may be the same situation as Peterman's start last year, but instead of Tyrod coming in for the 2nd half, it will be Allen.

  6. Honest question:

If Peterman starts against the Ravens and throws 3+ INT in the first half, does McD then have to send Allen out for the 2nd half, basically anointing him "starter" going forward?

Would the coaching staff then look even dumber than when they benched Tyrod?

    I know it's a hypothetical, but I don't think it's a crazy scenario to ponder.

That said, I hate to see other teams with rookies starting them.  They should start Bridgewater in NY, they won't.  So it just reinforces in some people's heads (fans/media/opponents) that Josh is less prepared.

This may be bad karma as my first post, but the Schadenfreude desire is strong:

how does the Jets O-line look, and what are the chances of Darnold getting eaten alive? ?
