  1. Allen: underdog small town blue collar kid with a gunner arm

Rosen: epitome of privaleged elitist immature Californian

Darnold: super californianian BRO with the typical lug bro voice. Grew up on beaches in Orange County.

    Mayfield: went 1st overall.

im not from buffalo nor live in it, I’m from NYC and never been which is why the Allen haters crack me up. You upstate folk hate your own type!!!

  2. Mark my words. Allen will fall.

Browns, Jets, Broncos all head coaches on the hot seat out surely this year if their new QB doesn’t show significant progress in year 1.

Plus, Browns flopped on QB so many times, doubt John Dorsey is interested in maintaining that reputation. The Allen smokescreen makes sense.

Also, if you follow Mock Drafts very year, you should know Mel Kipers is consistently one of the least accurate mocks every year.

Any Bils fan that's been watching the last 20 years should know that no need or hole is as important as QB. And filling every other need except QB will get you nothing more than a 7-9 loser team. This has been proven time and time again by our own team.

This is the best chance the Bills have had in landing a franchise QB, and will probably be our best chance for years to come.

A little pain, a little investment now, will pay dividends through the future. Gotta take a shot.

I’m all in with this dude except One correction: you don’t need 20 years...I’ve been a fan for 10 years and it still baffles me how some dudes are against a QB. 1 year bandwagon fans, perhaps ?

I don't see the term "franchise QB" stamped on any of these guys' foreheads.  Instead we have a bunch of guys with both a high ceiling and a low floor due to in part personal attitude.  If there were truly a franchise QB there then the Browns would have been presented with "we'll give you not just one farm but two farms" for the number 1 overall pick.

also, nearly every football expert in the USA disagrees with you

For years the jets deployed the strategy of “oh it’s not worth it for that qb”...now they’re desperate. While teams like the Rams, Texans, Eagles, chiefs, even the bears atleast aren’t in QB purgatory anymore

man, some of you fans, despite my love for you, make my head hurt.

Don't see the Jets taking Allen.  I think the owner and new GM in Cleveland may value Allen.  I don't think Hue Jackson will determine that pick.  Giants may reasonably think they are unlikely to be at 2 again any time soon and it is a good opportunity to draft Eli's eventual successor.  If Elway sees himself in Allen, he may pull the trigger.  Of course, this is all speculation.

Perhaps, but these are all uphill scenarios considering the state of each organization right now.

Still think the Browns might like him and are okay with Tyrod for a year or two.  Giants might take him with Eli starting for a year or two.  Broncos have Keesum who could start for a couple of years.  It's all guesswork and he might fall, but I think his potential will induce a high pick from someone.

But by this very logic, with the Browns, Jets (they'll draft Rosen or Mayfield), and Broncos all having coaches surely out if THIS year goes wrong, how does it make sense to invest a top 5 pick at a position where the "hole" has been filled for the next "year or two". #1 priority of all Head coaches - Save my job

I agree...its all completely random. Just sharing my thoughts

He might be, but the Browns could take him 1 overall; Giants could conceivably take him.  I doubt he falls.  You probably need to swing a deal for 2 to get him if Cleveland goes with Darnold.

I disagree. I think it's likely that Allen falls. As stated before, he is a Project. Look whos picking in the top 5...all head coaches who are on the hotseat (besides giants).

The Bills should make every effort to jump up to the #2 pick to get their guy.

Either #2, #4, or #5. I don't necessarily think we need to go to #2, unless they really have their mind on the QB they know the jets will take.

I am good picking ANY of the BIG 4. The Jets deployed the strategy of "oh, its not worth it for that QB" for years and instead went other position needs or settled on a later round QB. Now they're desperate.

Mahomes, Watson, Wentz, Goff, even the bears. Teams have found their QBs. This is a passing league today, not the run and pound game of the past.

Plus, Mcdermotts draft was super successful. Now he has Beane....we should have faith in their QB evaluations. I wouldn't worry, Daboll would not have taken the OC position if they didn't give him a choice at QB. They will draft someone, and Daboll much preferred benching Jalen Hurts (athletic, inaccurate QB)...so i doubt Jackson is even an option.

I know, trading a ton of picks for a QB did the Rams and Eagle so much damage they may never recover.

OH wait, the Rams made the playoff last year and the Eagles won the Super Bowl.  Oh, wait, sorry guess it didn't hurt them.

Agreed. I respect the OP opinions though, despite undermining the importance of a good QB (let’s go jacksonvill jaguars strategy, NOT). Just ask Brian Daboll, his offenses really did good when he had QBs he didn’t want under center (sarcasm).

McCoy was also dumped by the Chargers.

    Two teams in one division?

He was dumped as the head coach, after having a high profiled offense and failing defense. Doesn’t matter anymore though

  11. Mike McCoy is a good OC. Don’t let the one half season stint in Denver fool you. Even Denver media said the offensive problems weren’t on him. IN FACT, he’s probably the most connected OC available and could grab a killer staff/assistants.

id rather have Chudzinksi or Edgar Bennett/Alex Van Pelt...but just saying don’t underestimate McCoy, he’s a hot commodity and we’ll be lucky to get him. Remember, there are more stacked rosters looking for OCs

  12. Mike McCoy is a good OC and in high demand. Don’t let this season on the Broncos fool you. Even Denver media reported McCoy wasn’t the problem with the offense and it got even worse once he left.

they had a top offense the 4 years with chargers too

I don't agree with the thesis going around that Dennison couldn't get a fair shot at showing what he is capable of b/c Tyrod is so bad.

On the contrary, having an obvious handicap at QB was a golden opportunity for Dennison to show what he can do as an OC.

There was ZERO inventiveness in play design, nor did he capitalize on the one thing Tyrod can do well: run/be mobile.

I think Dennison is a dud hire and hope he is fired soon.

    Just yes

  14. NO NO NO. Dennison is mostly at fault for the offensive woes, with a little help from Tyrod. Anthony lynn made due. We woulda made it Pittsburgh at least with Lynn’s offense. Plus Broncos fans don’t speak highly of him either...he’s holding us back and I’d rather forego the inevitable SOONER rather than LATER. He’s got to go.
