  1. DD is full of it ......

    Few things:

    1) Dunkirk said Pegula supports the tailgating -    This is 100% false.   If anything,  they are embarrassed each week by Bills fans going through tables.  Eventually people are going to get seriously hurt or even die.   To be fair, didnt someone actually died too?

    2)  Pegula's entire empire besides the Bills are located downtown.  The labbatt blue warehouse reno next to the arena,   harbor center,  The sabres / arena, and PSE headquarters.     He also owns the parking lots in front of General Mills factory with the city owning the other parking lots.

    3)  The odds of NY State or the City of Buffalo paying for a stadium NOT downtown ..... seems low.    The only place NOT in the city I could see the stadium would be the Outer Harbor.

I don’t believe he’s biased, just my opinion based on the fact he’s pumped a lot of money into the downtown area.

Downtown Buffalo is going to be difficult property wise. They would have to apply eminent domain to get the needed property to house a new stadium.

    These are facts:

There are properties with ample area in Lancaster and north of Buffalo to make this work. These properties have been made public previously. The property in Niagara Falls was purchased immediately after Pegula bought the team. The property is useless as it stands but a major investment was made because the developer who purchased has an inside track to State politicians.I believe it’s Howard Millstein.

Pegula owns the team but he had a lot of help with securing his bid, through NY politicians. The state wants the stadium near Buffalo, that’s why they helped. It’s never, ever going to Batavia or that Far East of Buffalo.

Pegula has been buying up Perry street property like candy ....   Between Pegula Entertainment + the city.   They almost own the entire space between the arena and the casino.

Also.  the HSBC building in front of the arena,  is up for sale + parking lots around it.   HSBC is trying to get rid of that place.  I have heard that building is falling apart and poorly maintained.   HSBC wants to move the jobs there to the suburbs and sell.

Also, Pegula is investing in a building right in that area too for the Labbott Blue Brewery, offices, and residential.      THEN add in the hofbrauhaus  or what ever its called near the Creamery.     WHY the heck would a pretty well know german beer chain go from building on canalside (which they didnt want to pay the utilizes for) to building in the middle of no where city wise with nothing else around it?

ALL signs point to downtown.    Not Batavia.

If Pegula wants and open air stadium and Buffalo wants a dome .... simply build a retractable roof stadium for year around usage.    Bills games the roof can be open for all games with the exception of Thunderstorms and Buffalo can use the stadium year around for concerts,  motocross, high school football, college football (maybe UB), and many more events.

Marlins stadium is a good example of a retractable roof stadium that works for Buffalo.      The roof is completely off the field / stadium and you still get an outdoor feeling.    Open up both endzones with glass with some seats like cowboys stadium to get the wind factor.      BOOOOOOM  problem solved.     It can snow and be cold and yet close that stadium up for other events.
