Did the bills just go from terrible at YAC to being excellent at YAC? Seemed liked they were regularly outpacing their averages there.

I would much rather face TH twice per year in the regular season with Tua than once a year in the playoffs with Patrick and the Chiefs.

Isn't Klein a virtual lock to be on the team given the way his contract is structured versus the cap? Why wouldn't it just be Edmonds and Klein/Dodson with a long-term replacement by draft?

Forgive me if this has been asked: Does this mean only these players could be elevated for the game, or are all Practice Squad players still eligible?
Pretty sure these are just the guys who can’t be poached by another team off our practice squad. The elevations are named later in the week.

Jerry still plays at a high enough level to keep him. The player he'll replace has been inactive the last month+ (oustide of week 17) in Trent Murphy, who'll be a free agent. You could cut Addison, too.

I bet the Bills are pushing Leslie Frazier publicly as a good HC candidate so that they have a good reason to offer Daboll OC/Assistant Head Coach title to keep him around. If they were doing that for Frazier, why wouldn't they do that for Daboll?

I think the dolphins are better than the eagles for sure. Jets are worst for sure but I have the jets grouped with them and the other two higher. Dolphins had a rough start with NE and Us. Do you think the cowboys win either of those games?
to the OP the 10-6 2017 chiefs and falcons could be considered.
That 2017 chiefs game came to mind. Beating his mentor the first time he faced him as a head coach. It was Alex smith but they had been playing well if I remember correctly. I just remember that being the first time I was impressed with mcD.

They own the land, no? Plus--don't they lease out as well?
No they acquire an oil and gas lease to drill. Sometimes they buy the oil and gas rights in fee, but not all the time. If the term of the lease expires before they drill, they have to acquire a new lease (and pay a new bonus).

JKLM owns very few assets (about 120K acres), and from what I can tell, they had only 1 rig and halted drilling in 2019 anyway. Pretty small potatoes.i don’t believe that the Pegulas are truly in the OG business anymore in any meaningful way, and so I’m not sure what the panic is over. Pegula pretty brilliantly sold out to shell at the absolute peak of the market. (And Shell has since pretty much given up on the assets they got from him, and walked away from Appalachia).
If 120K acres is accurate, leases in Potter County, PA where they are operating have gone for between $300 an acre and $2000 an acre since they started there. That's 36 million to 240 million just to sign the leases. They have 116 permit filings with the PA DEP - public information searchable on the interwebs. It takes another 10 million plus to build the infrastructure, contract the rigs, the fracking crews, pipeline crews to connect to main pipelines, etc, for every well (I am generalizing that number). It's certainly approaching or exceeding a half-billion dollar investment, which one doesn't simply walk away from, even if you have stupid amounts of money. You either market it for sale as he did with the Shell and AE deals or you wait it out and hopefully you have Lessee's option to extend in the language of all of your core leases. I don't think you can say that they aren't in the oil and gas business in any meaningful way, and even if they do sell the JKLM assets, it seems like O&G is probably his first love in business and I wouldn't be surprised to hear he gets in somewhere else...
Shell has publicly given up, announcing a sale in the coming months to Seneca Resources, of their remaining Appalachia assets (an arm of National Fuel). They have been making a minor divestment here of there for the last couple of years.

I remember Pat Kirwan coming out with a book called Take your eye off the ball: How to watch football by knowing where to look. Unsure if it's any good but the Sirius NFL guys pushed it hard for a while (because he is one of those guys).

You still get all of the noise and feel for the crowd, there are just no jerks/drunks. I took my kids to the cardinals game week three I think a couple years back and we had a blast there.
Only note is that the game we went to, the weather was really nice out (sunny) but those sections are completed shaded, so my 5 year old daughter at the time got too cold.. just something to consider if it is a sunny day - it might not be as warm in those seats as it would be on the opposite side of the field.

I was unaware of a post minimum. I have been a member for a couple years, just rarely post, so I don't know that I have ever started a thread here or not. Maybe there is a grandfathering on post count for members already active prior to that being established?? I am sometimes paranoid, but not this time. I just couldn't understand why you were questioning my ability to post, not knowing the rule... I mean, people are talking about farts in the thread I started, but we're concerned with my post count?

I think Hughes signs an extension in the next 24 hours. Does that count?
I really think they'll do right by him and extend him as well. He has bought in for sure, and performed well enough to get a new deal.

Why, do you think I am trolling or something? I thought it was a valid conversation piece. I signed in and started a thread..?? I am confused on the question.

Or just keep Edmonds at MLB and excel amd become elite.
Sign Zach as a SLB, moving Lorax to that spot edge rusher
Why do Bills fans always want to move their young talent around.
I would be fine with this too as long as he can play that position well. To me it isn’t necessarily about moving Edmonds as much as having them both on the field together. With those two, Milano and Alexander, wouldnt we have one of the best LB groups in the league, or at least close to it?

I still have nightmares of Zach Brown "playing" in the snow against the Steelers.
No thanks.
People keep referencing that game, I must have missed it honestly, because I always liked him the time he was here. I get the sense he "Quit" on Rex? He made the Pro Bowl as an alternate the year he was here, and the Bills offered him a contract to re-sign, which they evidently rescinded eventually.

This is not meant to be rude to the OP because I’ve seen it posted by numerous people. They aren’t gonna move Edmunds outside anytime soon. It’s simply a comfort thing. You don’t put that much time into a 20 year old making him comfortable at MLB learning the calls and managing the defense to move him to a new position and make him get comfortable at a different position one year later. I get it he has the body type, the speed and size to blitz etc from the SAM position.
I've never seen anything posted on this board directed toward anyone that would directly offend me, so none taken. I am simply all about putting the best 11 out there and am interested in both sides to this argument. As we can see, in this thread, there are already people taking one side or the other, or at least stating cases for both sides. I think it's at least a possibility that they only played him at MLB because he was our only legit. option there last year after they let Preston walk in FA, and/or that maybe he played there last year just to throw him into the fire and make sure he was on the field learning in some capacity. Imagine knowing the entire defense inside-out and then moving into an easier position with his raw athleticism.

I feel like he must not be a likeable guy. I don't want him back. I don't think they are going to move their hand picked franchise quarterback of their defense so that they can sign Zach Brown, who they discarded once.
I think its funny that people want to move Tremaine. If Bob Babich, who helped make Urlacher what he was, believes that Tremaine is a mike, then he's a mike.
Was it that, or we just didn't have one on the team when we drafted him. They got rid of preston and got Edmonds. Zach left the year before if I am not mistaken, and must have just figured they'd roll with preston over Zach, maybe for financial reasons, Preston being on his rookie deal still.

Gotta ask: which reviewers were saying Edmonds should be moved from MLB to OLB? Or whereever these reviews said he should be moved?
I am not quoting someone specifically. It's more anecdotal - it *seems* many on here believe he should be one or the other. I am fine with him just being on the field as much as possible, regardless of the position. Brown allows the one situation to become an easy reality.
-
With Zach released, is this an option? Reviews were mixed on whether Edmonds should remain MLB if we could find a good upgrade and put him in a position to just make plays as opposed to call the D. I am open with it remaining as-is, but Zach's a good ILB.
Starting CB2...

I think it’s a good thing. He has all the lockdown physical tools and needs to learn to work within zone which was never his strength. In the meantime you have two solid zone corners holding it down, whether Jackson or Benford, and if there’s anything McD and Butler can do well it’s develop DBs.
I could only call it a bust if he doesn’t work out by the end of year 3 when you’re going into needing to decide on 5th year option. They’re barely paying 3 guy’s anything to be solid options opposite of Tre.
And maybe in addition to a a rotation at CB2, if we’re that good at the position, rotate Tre out very seldomly to prolong that career. I know that will bring the pitchforks but it makes sense long-term. Elam has shown better run defense/tackling over college and tackling is a Tre deficiency. So, obvious run situations and still, very seldomly.
