I checked on Sunday before the game from 8 am until noon to see if ticket prices would drop and was surprised they didn't drop. A few went on for like $150 each but most remained around $300 each.

This is good to know, it's something I've done before but it always makes me anxious. Would prefer to buy early and if the prices don't go down that much, then all the better.

I was in Boston last summer for a weekend to visit my sister.  I wore a Bills shirt around the city and got about 15 "Go Bills" from people I walked by that day.  The only heckling I got was from the owner of an Italian restaurant, and even that was good natured and not mean spirited.

It left me thinking that there are a lot of closet Bills fans in Boston.

We'll be at full capacity at the Harp for opening day, 300-plus.

  3. They can not just say "... it did not work in Buffalo". There are rules in place to prevent teams from just uprooting. I think if the local communities are working with the team in good faith to keep the team in its current location they can not just move. This is not just the team talking with the counties or state it is also the NFL so, the JBJ group couldn't just say "They aren't helping" and pull stakes without NFL picking up the phone and checking out their story.

Art Modell is not available for comment.

  4. This. When I heard the news I immediately thought "meniscus". You can tear it badly enough to warrant a scope without even knowing about it until it starts to swell up. Two days on crutches, three days with a brace and a week later I was cleared for all activity. It's not a big deal with the scopes they have today.

if he developed swelling but there's obviously no acl tear, he must have a meniscal tear or maybe cartilage damage ( hopefully small)

So they will shave off damaged meniscus or resurface bone where cartilage might have gotten torn off.

If he needed a joint injection they wouldn't even tell us.

those are only procedures that are common and I come back from so quickly.

All ligament injuries are bigger surgeries needing alot more recovery time.

It's disappointing but it could be alot worse (rg3)

Also you don't go to operating room to drain a knee unless he has a plica. They drain UR knee in office either blindly or using ultrasound.

  5. Troup was a puzzling pick. In hindsight AND on draft day. He was very low on all the draft prospect sites. Seems like the Bills should fire all their scouts and just use Mock Draft sites. All the mock drafts had us taking Orakpo over Maybin, because who in their right mind takes Maybin when when Orakpo's on the board?? Heck, Maybin wasn't even invited to the draft!! That's a good sign that he's NOT 1st round material.

Don't you remember how everyone and their mothers were calling for more beef on the D-Line?

In theory, Troup and Carrington were exactly what the team needed at the time. In practice, it didn't work out so well.

  6. The thing that has changed the most over the course of the season is expectations.

The Bills were self-admittedly short on depth and with the injuries, that lack of talent has derailed the season.

Sports fans like ourselves always tend to overreact.

A team is never as good as they look and they're never as bad as they look.

But the hitting of the panic button and the calls to throw the baby out with the bathwater will be prevalent and recurring themes around here for the foreseeable future… and it's understandable.

    This.

Everyone knew they were short on depth. Once teams figured out how to defend the short passing game, it was up to the Bills to counter that, but they didn't have the talent or depth to overcome it. The injuries pile up when you're outclassed.

Draft well, get healthy and pick up another addition or two like Barnett on the defense and then we can talk. Heck, in Week 5 Gailey was a genious.

I'm actually not too suprised, and neither should you -- if you looked objectively at the roster coming out of camp.
