One can only put it on the defense for so long. When Mahomes gets the ball with a chance to win at the end of playoffs games he usually finishes. The opponents know this. Fans know this. When Allen gets the ball at the end we’re often bracing for the inevitable wtf happened moment.Regardless of how the defense played this past playoffs game Allen had the ball with a chance to knock off KC and couldn’t finish. If it was the reverse Mahomes would definitely finish that drive. We’ve seen it from him time and again in the biggest games. KC’s defense gave up 35 in the Superbowl. Mahomes found way to score 38. That’s the level that Allen needs to operate at and he hasn’t.
no one will ever convince me that PM would be as great as he is without Reid coaching him. Reid worked wonders with mcnabb and alex smith(who was past his "prime.") Vick had his best passing numbers after his suspension under Reid. we will never see JA's ceiling unless the bills get a top 10 OC. losing the home playoff game against KC was nearly as bad as the 13s game. POOR COACHING!

Ultimately, it comes down to whether you hit on a QB or not. Beane was able to do that and the others weren't. Simple as that.
you could also make the case that josh fell into his lap...

Did anyone that has commented on this actually watch any of the highlights?!?! Go back and watch the clips from all four of Mahomes TD’s and let’s hear how we blew it by passing on him. Two touchdowns were little shovel passes inside the five. One a slant to Hill who took it to the house with h pastis world class speed, and the other being a wheel route to his FB. Yes, 4 touchdowns look impressive on paper, but he completed 15 passes. I am not saying he won’t be good, but whoever is complaining, didn’t watch the highlights and are strictly commenting based on the stat line.
Exactly! I noted earlier(jokingly) that he only completed 56% of his passes today. He made some plays obviously but can we hold off the HOF balloting for a bit? The guy plays in an Andy Reid offense. KC flys outta the gates but we all know how they finish.

Shocking isn’t it?
Pat Mahomes is gonna be a HoFer. I truly believe that. His talent is sick.
The Process passed.
55.6 completion percentage today. he has to be better...

Sure make peyton Manning and Tom Brady read option rollout running QBs. Great idea.
?????? was that a dis? if it was they would certainly be more accurate throwing the ball-and not just to the running backs!

That's the oc's fault then. Tyrod was the QB, you scheme an offense that plays to his strengths.
And now the fans pray for a rookie fifth round pick.....
I'm tired of hearing the OC needs to adjust to a TT strengths. I would think a benchmark for an NFL QB is some level of reading a defense and leading a receiver over the middle. Many QB can throw the long ball-that is not a strength. TT only strength to me is his legs-the only reason he is in the NFL IMHO. He had 2 1/2 years to show other strengths with (3) OC and cannot do it-he is the same QB he was in 2015. And i can't watch it anymore! He'll make good money and have a long career coming off the bench-ask Frank Reich. Maybe it's just me...

How about if you substantiate your recollections, instead of putting them out there from memory and instructing others to do the work of rebutting?
Just sayin'
this is a forum for opinions...please refrain from rebutting. thanx hapless

Watkins, Woods and Goodwin were hurt more than half the time.
TT and the Bills were not 0-16 the lat 2 seasons. When at least one or two of them were healthy, Tyrod balled out and the Bills won - crazy thought.
When they didn't it was when the D was allowing Ajai to run for 200 +.
Newsflash! Only Bills receivers get hurt and miss games!

I'm not so sure 2015/16 total stats tell the true story on offense. From my memory this offense got of to notoriously bad starts and would disappear for long stretches during most games. Many points and yardage were accumulated when the game was no longer in doubt. Feel free to rebut my recollections ...
Well i did my own research on teamrankings.com. 2015 2016
1st Q Points(NFL Rank) 5.4(7) 4.9(13)
2nd 6.4(19) 6.2(23)
3rd 4.9(15) 6.9(4)
4th 7.0(14) 7.0(11)
Note the 2016 btw. 1st/2nd Qtr. ranks(fall behind) and 3rd/4th ranks( padding stats but not winning i.e., Seattle game)

Um-didn’t we have Greg Roman as an OC. Why did he get fired?
-
With Tolbert out who’s he gonna throw to?
-
I all seriousness-I don’t believe he is a viable starter. Along with the bottom 10-12 QB’s in the league. He’s had 3 seasons to evolve into a quality QB and he’s no better than he ever was. His accuracy is a big problem. Intermediate passes are not a a part of his game and he uses his legs to compensate. That formula will work as a backup coming off the bench but the production is too inconsistent to win on a regular basis.
-
1) He’s a great scrambler(but he won’t throw unless he scrambles first)
2) He has a great arm(but no accuracy)
3) He can throw short(<5 yd) or long(>50 yd)
4) He doesn’t throw interceptions(See #3)
5) He’s consistent(170 yds a game, produces about 11pts. /game)
6) He’s better than EJ Manuel(I guess)

17 year drought is a joke-18 is no worse. no one cares about the drought but bills fans. getting blown out in a playoff game(after the last games this could happen) with TT at starting does not help this team long term. he has shown no progress in the 3 yrs he has started! zilch! starting NP is win-win in my opinion. if he wins some games and show some ability-WIN! if he craps the bed we get a higher draft pick-WIN!

How’d the past 3 years go hovering around .500 with ****ty QB play? Just curious.
exactly right. tyrod has shown no progress under (3) different coordinators. without the turnovers and 50 yrd FG we could easily have a worse record. considering the way he has played to this point, does anybody believe that the bills should keep TT next year if he leads us to the playoffs and goes one and done(the last two games show this team is not for real IMHO)? the coaching staff needs to see if NP can play-if he plays well we may make the playoffs anyway and maybe look forward to a bright future. if not then we get a higher draft pick and try again...
Do you think Allen feels relief after the Diggs trade?

How many diva WR did the pats win a SB with? my point is having a diva WR is not essential to winning a SB. and if said diva(diggs) isnt producing in the playoffs then he isnt worth the drama.
