  1. im a little surprised since i thought albany was as big on the bills as they are on the jests and giants, but i can see why the interest in the bills is down compared to those teams

and i was at that browns game last year - worst. game. in. the. history. of. sports. history. you. can. tell. by. all. the. periods. period.

Yeah I was there as well, painfull game. Didnt some guy try to run some cops over as well?

  2. I live in the DC AREA also have had seats for years now. Only make it to a game or two a year. So no your not nuts, but you will not get your money back for the games you do not attend.

I am not really that concerned in getting the money back.

I live in VA will be DC area by next summer and seriously considering buying season tickets. I have family in Albany area so I could and have stayed up there for the weekends. I would probably plan on seing 2 games a year and selling the rest if I can. So my question is how far do you live and own season tickets. Am I crazy to think about this?

Well I appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions. I reserved my tickets last night!

  3. I have multiple season tix with a friend and we both live in Long Island. Have family in WNY and catch 3 games. The rest go easy on ebay. This year we'll lose a little money because the Jim Kelly Club seats never sell, but the lower bowl seats are a home run.

I was thinking lower bowl. The last few games I went to were great and I paid over the price of the ticket.

  4. I live in north central PA, so I drive 80 miles (little over 2 hours) to RWS.

Personally I wouldn't get seasons if you're only going to two games a year. It would be different if the Bills were good and selling out every week as you could easily offload the tickets for the games you don't attend.

Since my brother lives in Albany I am hoping that he is going to be able to get rid of some. I am only paying for 1 ticket so it wont be that bad. I guess the drive is about 8 hours from DC to the Ralph.

  6. Don't lecture us like two year olds.

I remember him saying that and I concur. You have to agree with that statement. Here is where I take issue with the coach. He prompltly says that and basically does little to upgrade the offensive line. Hummmmm, he reconizes a major need of the team but does nothing but draft Wang in the 5th round and pick up a medicore RT too. I do believe actions speak louder than words. In this case, it is clearly evident. I don't understand what the new regime was thinking...So you can listening to the coach all you want...

I watched the game in pain and the first series for offence was decent. As I continued to watch Edwards he has less and less time to throw the ball.

  7. Here is a little something on Nix from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddy_Nix

Buddy Nix (born December 6, 1939) is currently the Director of College Scouting for the Buffalo Bills[1]. He previously was employed by the Bills from 1993-2000. From 2001 until mid 2008 he was the Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel for the San Diego Chargers. There were conflicting news reports on why Nix left. These include 1) that he had retired, and 2) that he had resigned and was open to seeking another Front Office position with another NFL team. Nix was quoted as saying that he was going to play golf, but was open to other offers from other teams.[2].

Nix was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama where he later attended Talladega High School and played linebacker and fullback at Livingston University. Nix also had a successful college football coaching career.

Nix's job with the Chargers was to oversee both pro and college scouting and to be one of the main decision makers in each NFL Draft. Nix was a major reason the Chargers turned around from a losing football team to a rebuilt, winning team.

Number of San Diego Chargers Pro Bowl Players drafted under Nix:

    2004 3 Pro Bowlers

    2005 6 Pro Bowlers

    2006 11 Pro Bowlers

    2007 8 Pro Bowlers

Nix is considered by some to be one of the top 5 talent evaluators in the NFL. The Chargers have won 4 out of the last 5 AFC West Titles with Nix as Assistant GM and Director of Player Personnel, in charge of college scouting and instrumental to the decision making process of their NFL drafts.

Nix's career has spanned from star college player and award winning college football coach, to scouting in the NFL for the Bills and finally as a Front Office Executive with the Chargers.

Nix came to the Chargers with John Butler and A. J. Smith from the Buffalo Bills where those three Front Office Executives were instrumental in building the Buffalo Bills into NFL contention through the NFL Draft.

Butler died during the Chargers rebuilding years, Smith was promoted to General Manager, and Nix to Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel.

Nix was rumoured to have been on the short list of candidates for the position of General Manager of the Atlanta Falcons, but he was not offered the position.

Sounds like he had a lot to do with the Chargers getting where they are now.
