The Chiefs look like they might end up as the next dynasty that never was. Just like the Legion of Boom Seahawks. You love to see it.

Hurts is trash.

They've won their last seven games by a difference of 225-73. Their four losses are by a combined total of 24 points. How long are we going to pretend like they aren't good? The Patriots are a big boy team whether people want to accept it or not. It doesn't mean they're unbeatable.

The ballwashing on the main broadcast is pretty blatant.
It's not just the main broadcast. Peyton was ballwashing Mac Jones pretty hard earlier.

id be surprised if nkeal harry is still on the patriots tomorrow morning. belichick usually doesn't put up with guys like that.

4th down.. NE elected to run on third and 4. Maybe Mac Jones is a little jittery???
Peyton and Eli both said it's the wind going in their direction. Same reason their punts are so bad.

I don't understand why people are so obsessed with his arm strength. He'll never be Mahomes or Allen but his arm isn't so bad that'll it'll prevent him from having NFL success. It's adequate for the NFL which is what basically every scout said before he was drafted. His arm strength is comparable to Drew Brees coming out of college.

Their D isn't as good as I thought - but they're opportunistic.
They're really solid in all phases - but not spectacular in any phase. As usual, they don't beat themselves (as you said).
They've given up 63 points over 6 weeks. What do you define as good?

I think they win, and the Bills have 11 days to get their act together for the home stretch.
If they lose, they can still pull it together, win the division and so make the playoffs, but the self-analysis will need to deeper, and it will come amidst intense media and fan criticism. It wouldn't be a pleasant 11 days for them or us.
Nope. This is absolutely a must win in a tight AFC. New England has outscored their opponents 175-50 in their last five games. If we don't start winning immediately then they will run away with the division. They will likely split with us and then they have Jacksonville and Miami to close the year. I'd also heavily favor them against a team with as many injuries as Tennessee. You have to assume they're winning 11 games MINIMUM when you look at their schedule.
-
It all comes down to the Patriots games. If they sweep us then the season is done. We won't even make the playoffs. We need to AT LEAST split with them which is probably the best case scenario at this point.

So, they should blow it all up and rebuild or what?
A few weeks ago the Pats and Chiefs were two of the worst teams in football and now they look like they are on a crash course for the AFC Championship game. Things can change quickly in the NFL. McDermott has earned the benefit of the doubt from me for now. Today was almost entirely self inflicted and things we can (hopefully) clean up. Let's see how we bounce back on Thursday and against the Pats. I'm not about to wave the white flag at 6-4 in a season where there are no dominant teams from week to week
Two of the worst teams in football? What kind of hyperbole is this? The Patriots and Chiefs were never actually two of the worst teams in football. The Pats had a bad loss to Miami and then lost a couple of one score games to contenders. Chiefs early season was similar. -
Rosen is one of those guys where you only need to see one possession to immediately know he just doesn't have it.

Patriots don't even need the refs honestly. The Falcons are that bad.

Patriots defense is nasty.

They are a playoff team that had a rough start where they lost a lot of close games. Their remaining schedule is easy enough for them to get in and they have shown they can take good teams down to the wire. Early on a lot of people made them out to be as bad as the Jags or Texans. Clearly not the case.

Patriots could be a problem...
They're a fringe playoff team at best but they're better than most people give them credit for. They'll give us a fight and might even steal a game if the Bills don't come to play. They've played everyone close except for the Saints.

I think Mac Jones might legitimately be terrible. He does not have an NFL arm. Way too easy to defend that kind of QB.
Terrible is probably a bit much. He's just your typical low ceiling QB who can start for short stretches. He could probably take a good team to the playoffs. The Patriots have bigger problems than Mac Jones. Their entire team is trash. No receivers, no running back, terrible o-line, disappointing defense, etc. That team is going to be bad for at least another five years. I do however think it'd be in their best interest to move on from him as soon as possible.
-
Mac Jones is solid. Good under pressure. Doesn't make terrible decisions. Hits all of the throws you'd expect a QB to make. He's Alex Smith at worst. He definitely isn't Darnold or Tua.

Tua is actually awful. How long until the Dolphins trade for Deshaun?

Won't be as satisfying beating them without Brady. It's just another game against a bad team to me.

The Saints-Bucs game confirmed what most people already knew. Anyone who watched a Patriots game last year knew that Brady was washed up. Belichick didn't let him go for no reason. Even in their Super Bowl win against the Rams he was mediocre and was hard carried by an elite defense. I maintain that Cam is a huge upgrade for them over current Brady if he remains healthy (BIG IF).

I think it's possible that Cam is competent. But I watched his last several games in a Panthers uniform and I would not use that word to describe what I saw, even with shoulder issues. He was awful. He still may be bad, even if hes healed (and it's tough to assume hell remain healthy at this point)
It wasn't just his shoulder. He had a pretty bad foot injury too from what I remember.

Their dynasty is finished but someone like Dalton is not an immediate downgrade over a 43 year old Brady. Did everyone forget how bad this guy sucked last year? If Brady was still good Belichick would have paid him. If they DO suck massively next year then that puts them in the running to draft Trevor Lawrence which is...yea... Everyone knows what Belichick is all about. He is absolutely the kind of guy who is sleazy enough to throw the season to get a franchise QB. If he plans to keep coaching he absolutely isn't going to want to do it with Andy Dalton as his guy. McDaniels would do the same thing. I'm rooting for them to suck but not so much that it ends up giving them another potential dynasty.

A lot of people have noticeably come around to Brady in recent years. He definitely isn't as hated as he used to be. Not sure how some people aren't seeing this.
