  1. Yeah Watkins your right

Philly spends 57mil on 2 receivers. I just don't think too many teams are going to do that. Who knows what waddle will get. Hill makes 30 already. I don't think receivers will ever be  devalued like rb but an elite QB can make a lot of receivers better. I hope Allen can do it, which I think he can.

  2. Thanks for the reply gunner. You and a couple other contributors really are a great read. I appreciate your guys insight. The bills have not made receivers a priority for several years. I'm thinking more teams will go the gb/pitt route. When I watch college ball I see so many players on multiple teams that would look good for the bills. They're being coached up from youth ball on up to fit the pro game.

  3. I think it all comes down to $$$$. Cap is 250mil. Say 45m for QB, 35m for elite wr, 30m for edge and 30m for left tackle. 140m for 4 positions. 110m left over. College football is loaded with all kinds of receivers. I lean towards Green Bays approach. Draft a couple each year and unless you have an outright superstar stud, just churn thru them. An elite QB will find them. They have one in Allen. Great topic Shaw. Can't wait to see how Allen/Brady respond this season. Seems like all the talking heads have the Bills imploding, maybe it's justified. I don't think so but I am a diehard, psychotic Bills fan. First live game I attended was oj's rookie year at the rockpile.

  4. No doubt that his shoulder is hurting. The hail Mary a couple weeks ago. Last night to Diggs. Seems like a lot of sidearm throws. Maybe off-season surgery like Purdy had. Same injury I believe. Just push through it until after the Super Bowl.

  5. Thanks Alfredo. Didn't realize he wasn't drafted. Just another example of their scouting department being thorough. They've had very few misses since Beane arrived. I do agree with multiple posters that using high draft picks for running backs is a waste. OL and receivers round 1 thru 3 from now on. Keep Allen happy.

  6. I'm thinking NE will run first and use a lot of different screens. Their screen game is good. Disguise them well. They want to grind it out. Long drives. Probably throw a trick play or two in there. Pressure up the gut and stay in lanes. Brady is still Brady. Although he's burned us so many times I have that feeling this is a great opportunity to really set the Bills on their way. Can't wait for tomorrow. Go Bills!!!
