I logged that game at NFL Films. I remember it like it was yesterday. I just sat there in total disbelief over what was transpiring. I couldn't even get mad right away. Just sat there shaking my head.
-
I look forward to more of the op's hot takes.

It's all too obvious that an brilliant mind initiated this thread...

This whole thing reeks of Brown (or more accurately, his first agent) screwing up the first week of FA and now is intent on milking this thing for all it's worth, both for financial and dramatic purposes.
-
My NFL viewing consists of 99.5% NFL Network and .5% ESPN. ESPN could have a trained chimp through crap at the wall and it would be no less unwatchable.
-
I certainly take him if he's there at 10.
I would as well.
-
Hitting on the QB will make most other Draft maneuverings look much better for our GM. Take away Brady and Bellichick's Draft record isn't exactly stellar.
-
What the heck kind of contract was his ex-agent looking for? For him to get turned away at every visit, I would have to think it was close to the ten million per range.
I had been frowning on Brown up until this point, but firing his agent was a good sign. Hope this thing works out. We could kind of use a three down LB with coverage skills...

He likely cost himself a few Draft spots and a Benjamin or two in the short term. We'll see what if any damage control is attempted in the coming weeks.
-
If I were the Saints, I wouldn't give up a 1st. It's not a trade they'll win. Let him stew on the Patriots, he'll eventually get his release.
Absolutely; no way would I offer a 1st to NE under these circumstances. A 2nd would be plenty generous.

...even if he does, it makes no difference......ONLY if Uncle Jimbo and "his group" buy the club from Pegula (COUGH)............
Not just regarding The Bills. I meant in general. Seems the kid's own flesh and blood is looking the other way, unless I missed it.
-
Didn't read through the entire thread so not sure if this was mentioned, but has Uncle Jim come out in support for his troubled nephew? If not, that's about as damning as it gets, no?
-
OK thanks.....well eff them then.
The number of trolls that are now posting on The Bills FB page has grown exponentially since the shutdown. Go figure...

Give the man a few wings and send him on his way.

I enjoy the occasional pig meat. My people tend to frown on that.

I'll go with Big Mike Williams. A Top 5 non-QB pick should never crash and burn as badly as that tub-a-lard did.
-
I got to say Red Zone Cuba or Invasion of the Neptune Men. The latter was so freaking terrible that even MST3k couldn't save it.
Those were both tough slogs as were the other two Coleman Francis films.
Interestingly, Joel once named I Accuse My Parents as his favorite and that Manos was nearly a deal breaker for him. Mike on the other hand (no pun intended) named Manos as his favorite and Hobgoblins as his most painful/difficult.

The Prisoner
MST3K
SCTV
Seinfeld
Kamen Rider (original 1971)

NFL Network is greatest network of all networks.
I can't imagine any claims to the contrary. It would be un-American... and just plain not nice.

this is more where i was going with it, but again, it's a fun exercise.
edit: to be even more specific, it grinds my gears when someone say the bills will only win x number of games because the schedule is so difficult.
Or when they predict a... wait for it... cakewalk due to an easy schedule. No such thing as easy or tough anymore for the most part.
-
A lot of confidence in our new Coach(es) vs the last guy(s). That's the difference right there.
-
Few teams remain consistent one way or another year to year. With very few exceptions, it's nearly impossible to determine a sure win or sure loss.
-
It's bad value because he's a bad QB. It shouldn't take fourteen pages to figure that one out.

I don't understand why anyone goes on a cruise ship without getting the all inclusive drink package.
Some people just hate fun plain and simple. God forbid they were offered a free massage...
Pats sign Gillislee to offer sheet

It is very curious that in one of the deepest RB classes in memory, that The Pats would rather overpay for a (admittedly very good) back RB rather than save a few bucks and Draft one. Hell, there will probably be a couple of backs in the 7th Round who could approximate Gillislee's production. As far as wounding us goes, not buying it. They are surrendering a 5th Rounder.
If the reverse were the case, the press would be all over us for overpaying in such a strong Draft class AND giving up a Draft pick, then harping on how The Pats would be laughing all the way to the Draft over it.
And I highly doubt we will match the offer. The brass did not think enough of Gillislee to pay the extra 900k. Why on Earth would they then shell out even more? I get the feeling they are content with getting the Draft pick in a deep class and saving some green.
