I agree - they have the additional luxury of monitoring the Pitt game and making decisions accordingly.  I also think people are not factoring enough the 2nd seed enabling the possibility of hosting the AFCCG if Chiefs stumble - esp with all the close games they had this last part of the season.  They are beatable by more than one team.

This is what I was thinking also. If someone beats the Chiefs and we get 2nd, the AFC goes through Buffalo. The way these teams are evenly matched anything is possible.

Y'all are doing it wrong with CBS if you're trying to use a VPN... Save the money, and do it yourself.

Hopefully I don't get banned, but I doubt this is illegal since I can go out of town on business and CBS All Access will pick up that local channel where i am. You're just going to fool it to think you're somewhere else.

You might want to dedicate a browser JUST for this, if you use Chrome, CC Cleaner browser is almost exactly the same. See the 3 dots at the top right? Click on them, got to Developer tools.

Once there is the hardest part, you have to find the Sensors. Your probably going to have to click those 3 dots a little lower than the others this time.

Now that you're in Sensors, see the Location? It probably shows "No Over Ride" but go ahead and click Manage. Here you'll see a few pre-loaded locations, and see that it is by geolocation? That's latitude and longitude. I hope most of you can find lat and long for somewhere in Buffalo area. Once you do, click Add Location. Don't worry about the time zone and stuff, not needed but name your new location. YOU WILL NEED TO LOAD IT EVERY TIME YOU GO TO CBS! I just leave it open on the right until I'm watching WIVB then I close it. If you make a mistake and forget, close out of CBS right away, and try it again... This is one of the reasons a totally separate browser is a good idea so the cache from it doesn't interfere and if it messes up, you can always uninstall and re-install with no loss of other important stuff.

Now you just learned a large part of what a VPN does for you and it cost you nothing.... 😉

Can you do this for Sabres Games? MSG Network

For Singletary and Knox, I attribute it to their college careers: nether were pass catchers. In addition, it does take time for most receivers to get used to the NFL level.

As a reminder, Robert Woods was perpetually flamed here: look at home now. Patience is required at this level for almost everyone.

Wind means nothing when the ball hits receivers either on the hands or in the chest.  The ball is there.

And if a pass catcher can't handle a fastball, then he doesn't belong in the NFL.

It's pathetic and it's cost us games.  A lot of these drops have been either imminent first downs or imminent touchdowns.

    Ridiculous.

Both of these are spot on. Knox and Singletary didn't get many passes to them in college and using conditions as an excuse(maybe rain) is stretching it, if it hits their hands they should be catching them or at least not dropping as many.

...and I’m fine with a player making that decision. My issue is with the fans that immediately go to “I hope that he takes less than he’s worth to stay with us.” It’s happened at least twice in this thread. The fan’s ONLY thought is “I hope Tre stays with us.” For some reason Bills fans do that ALL of the time.

Obviously, every player has a lot that they need to consider before making a FA decision. The reality with Tre specifically is that he will be here for a little while regardless. The Bills will absolutely tag him when the time comes if needed.

With other guys though we shouldn’t care what they make. It makes ZERO difference to us what we pay Matt Milano as long as he is on the Bills. And before someone says, “yeah but cap space” please don’t. There is no such thing as capped out in the NFL in 2019!! The rules are way to easy too circumvent. You can always just kick the can down the road as the Saints have done for a decade. The cap increases make this simple.

The only thing that the Bills need to worry about is “do we need this guy?” In Tre’s case the answer is unequivocally, 100% yes. He’s going to be the highest paid CB in history. That’s what’s going to happen. We should be happy for him. The guys in the locker room will be happy for him. If you want to see recruiting and a good locker room, treat your players well. The Pegula’s get that.

    Exactly!

The other part of it is, if you treat them right now, down the line they're more likely to re-negotiate if it helps the team win.

I realize this will come across as homerism, or typical fan optimism trying to find good in the darkness but...

After some further time to consider, maybe there was more than one reason Dabes tried to pound it in three times (or five times if you include later 3rd &2 and 4th down failed attempts.)

Sure - maybe be it was because after they tried once, he knew that they knew we wouldn't try again. And then the third time, no WAY we'd try again.

But I don't believe that (trying to out think the Redskins defense) was the reason.

I think it was actually BECAUSE we knew that's their (Redskins') strength. We were stressed as fans because we've seen these games go south too quickly. But if you're a non-emotional observer, besides running for a bunch of yards in the first half, this game was never in doubt.

This was an opportunity to evaluate his offensive line in a couple of groupings in a game and time where it wasn't IMPERATIVE that we score/make the first down. It did eventually show what most people assume works actually worked - the QB sneak with a 250 lb 6'5" QB. He called it when we had to have it, and we got it.

Additionally, it sure fooled the Skins on the play with Motor. After pounding our way up the middle multiple times throughout the game, and running JA, that half second delay in the read before he gave it to Singletary got everyone going the wrong way for his TD scamper.

Again - I readily admit I'm probably reaching. But these guys, regardless of our opinion, aren't idiots. This was a chance to evaluate that you never get in practice, and prepare for when you REALLY need it.

    This is an interesting take.

I guess it would actually be interesting if the plan was evaluation and that would make me feel that Daboll is really trying to get a handle on any situation that comes up and who is best suited for said situations.

Or he's just obstinate and thought like the bolded.
