  1. Same here. Although I was supposed to leave town tommorow I decided to stay home and write a song about Willis to the tune of a Beach Boys classic.

Was that not the worst sh*t you've ever heard. I hate to rag on that guy because it really looked like he put some effort into that song. I guess you can't overcompensate the effort for lack of talent and songwriting ability though. As for you K-dog, sounds like you need a vacation of some sort. I don't have a lot of tiime to get away because I work and go to school full time but sometimes you just got to get away for at least a weekend. It keeps ya level you know. The trip I'm going on is a good opportunity to spend some time with my friends before the go back to Iraq for another tour (which is a bunch of bullsh*t if you ask me). Plan a trip a go relax some where, it's worth it!

  2. My guide in Colorodo works the Gauley every fall. It's supposed to be the best on the east coast. I could be wrong but I remember him saying that in october it is really crazy there because they let down some damn and really raise the water levels. I have the sam guy this year, I'll ask him. We should plan a TBD white water trip. I'm in

  3. I go every year with my old high school buddies. 2 Guys are in the army and just recently got back from Iraq so we usually don't have a say when in the summer we can go. Luckily this year they both are on leave right now which happens to be the high water time out Colorado. The trip runs from 9:00 a.m. to about 2-3pm depending on how fast the river is moving. Last year we went in August when water levels were much lower then this year. If you do the full day trip like we are doing this year (It's only $85 bucks a person), however our guide last year told us that unless the water is really high that the half day trip is the way to go. The reason for this is because the first part of the full day trip is a lot more mild than the second half. But when the water is high the class 2 and 3 rapids on the front stretch become class 3 & 4's and are a pretty good warm up for the second half. The second half of the trip is insane. It should be a lot of fun. Here is the company we use, they are really nice and do a great job:

    Performance Tours

My friends and I have only done the Royal Gourge trip but it is a blast, Next summer we are going to do the Numbers trip

  4. My roomate's Dad is the owner of Pro Football Weekly and untill last year was the Radio Announcer for the Bears. He came into town last night and took us out to dinner. I asked him what he knew of Gandy and he said that the Bears Organization really liked Gandy but that he could never stay healthy. Hope thats not the case in Buffalo. He also said he is not a dominant player in either pass protection or run blocking but that he did a good enough job at both to be an effective starter in the league. I guess that sounded kind of encouraging to me but I still have my doubts about our LT situation. Anyway he pretty much had nothing but postive things to say about Gandy except for being an injury concern. I guess we will find out in September.

  5. Make sure you get an MRI. I thought I had just sprained my foot real bad in two places when I was wasted one night (at the joint of my big toe and where my big toe meets the foot). I went to the ER the next day and got it x-rayed (negative) and then they ran a cat scan on my foot to check for some specialized injury I might have (I thought cat-scans were only for your brain but I was wrong). Both came back negative but two weeks later I could still not put any weight on my foot. So I went back to the hospital where I finally convinced them to give me an MRI and three torn ligaments and one operation later my foot finally healed. Sprains are weird and the amount of damage is hard to diagnose without an MRI. The doctor's claimed my foot was just a sprain and I didn't need an MRI so I walked around in pure agony for two weeks, and probably did a lot more damage to my foot than was origanly inflicted. Get if checked out

  6. Would that be the division that sent both teams to the NLCS last year and one to the world series. By the way the Redbirds are 19-11 and the braves 20-11, meaning you've played one more game. I'd bet my balls that Cards finish with a better record than the braves do

  7. Wainwright was the 12th pick in the first round by the braves in the 2000 draft. He went to Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Ga with me and Kwame, he graduated in 2000 and was a grade above us. He was traded to the Cardinals a few years back-- J.D. Drew & Eli Marrero for Wainwright, Jaosn Marquis, and Ray King! He is now in triple A memphis

  8. I graduated high school with this choad and I really had high hopes when Washington drafted him number 1 overall. He is such a whiny biatch!!! This kid used to score like 30 a night, grab about 20 boards and get about 15 blocks a game. He plays like he is scared out there and I am glad the Wizards suspended his ass. Adam Wainwright (St. Louis Cardinals number one pitching prospect) also went to my high school and is now playing for the greatest baseball team of all time (thats right), hopefully he pans out better then Kwame. Anybody else grow up or go to school with any pro-athletes? Got any stories?
