  1. Diggs is a supremely talented pain in the ass. He has always been this way.  It seemed to really change once Brady took over.  If his contract was not such an albatross around Beanes neck I am certain Cleveland and Dorsey would be stupid enough to take him on and we would would be wise to do it.

Ain't happening this year unless some sage salary cap guru knows something I don't.

Howdy everyone I just wanted to hear your thoughts about something that took place today in my journey of fatherhood.

I'm a father of five boys and my oldest is 13 and asked me if he still had to be a Bills fan. Let me rephrase that he asked his grandma my mom to ask me if it's okay if he stops being a Bills fan....

I've never felt guilty for encouraging  my boys to be  Bills fans as I'm a son of Buffalo I was born there and my whole family on my father's side lives there. When my mother asked him why he said because it's become too upsetting and it's not fun anymore. He said he asked her to ask me because he knew it would break my heart.

This isn't a Pity post to be honest and I'm not the type that's going to be like I'm never going to watch this team again or I give up and all that crap that a lot of posters say.... it was a tough season and sometimes when you're extremely close things seem so far away...

What I'm really looking for is good advice for when I sit down and talk with my boys about this season Etc and being a Bills fan in general I'm sure some of you that are older and wiser than I have had to talk with your sons and daughters....

I truly see this team as very close.... some more addition by subtraction is needed thank God Bean has drafted some really good talent the past few years to soften the blow of our aging vets as they fade and move on... just a few key pieces I know we say this every year but a few pieces and I think we're there maybe a new coach too maybe not I know that's going to rile some people up but sometimes I'm just unsure about McDermott....

One before I die just one before I die please

My oldest is a *** **** queefs fan.  No ****.  He is a 22 year old man now, and believe it or not we watch the games together.  He takes way more crap from me than I do from him, ultimately it's just football.  You will find that you have just as much to talk about, it's just different.  Have fun with it.

For perspective, when I first saw him Sunday morning -- I loudly exclaimed it was woodshed whooping day and that he should start smacking his own butt now so it will not sting as bad later.  Offered him half a tube of chapstick later to pre-treat his impending butt chap.

It's all good.  Family first, the rest is just details man.

I was sitting in my man cave with my buddy totally engrossed in the game when we had the weird series of events that started with the FAKE PUNT.

When KC stopped us and then drove the ball down for what appeared to be a rushing touchdown, and then upon further review it was fumbled out of the end zone, we looked at each other and both said " The football gods are willing us to victory!".

I swear, for the first time in a very long time it seemed the breaks were finally going our way in a game!

And then, the missed "wide right #2" field goal......

The gods were helping. Then we pissed on logic with that fake punt attempt, 10 men or not -- ridiculous field position -- ridiculous execution.  Nothing was ever the same after that possession despite the Chiefs not scoring again.  We had three more offensive possessions.  Confidence was gone, so were the breaks.

When the fake punt happened, my confidence was gone.  As someone else has said, it was a moment that made me ashamed to be a Bills fan.

I would imagine many on the team had the same feelings. Coupled with the asshat who made the call to go into this game with a gimp punter, the gods were not amused.

Chiefs had 10 guys on the punt return and the Bills had an 8 person to 6 person advantage in blockers versus rushers.  Honestly it was the right call and really inexcusable they got blown up the way they did.

With that field position!? Are you a crack smoker?  That is never the right call there.

  5. Sacrilege I know, but I can't help but thinking that he knows how to win with a good QB. Would'nt have been going for a fake punt with that ridiculous field position, for instance.

That is what I want to know.

Who cares about the future right now?

KC just ended our season for the 3rd time in 4 years.

I mean... I can't even get myself to care about that right now.  And it's going to take a while.   I am amazed so many of you are able to do that - almost immediately - following a loss like this.

Why?  Because businesses are either growing...or they are slowly dying.  Big corporate business does not stay stagnant unlike the little used bookstore down the street.

It's not like Terry has made any rash decisions here.  He's given McDermott free reign for several years, with a top-2 QB in the entire NFL.  It would almost be owner malpractice to not kick the can and see if a new offensive minded coach, a new voice, could elevate them over the top while Allen is still in his prime.

Owner malpractice. That's a good one. The league is littered with owners who do what they want when they want. Ralph was a specialist.

As the thread title states, there is zero chance he is fired. With good reason from my perspective.

Weird vibes you have towards someone making logical judgments.

The poster is stating what is obvious…

Seems to be that there’s a very big difference in her needing to go to the hospital vs needing minor treatment on site.

One lends credence to the idea that he snapped and beat her up.   The other is far more ambiguous as to what actually happened.

Okay Cleo, I did not realize someone would be judging my vibes. It was a joke really, Bob got it.

I agree, but like I said earlier in this thread, if his girlfriend called the cops shortly after it happened, and then they showed up to the house shortly after that, and she had visible injuries, he's done for. Now, it says that she didn't go to the hospital, so if the "injuries" were very minor...not even sure what that'd be, a scratch maybe?....then he may skate. Any black eyes and/or bruises that are black & blue, or even red, and he's done.

Sounds like you might have some experience in this arena. Incarcerated much?
