  1. 1. Acquire a WR2 who doesn't drop every third ball or disappear for weeks at a time.

    2. Upgrade O-line, as many as you can get. Draft five of them if you have to.  Hate to say it but Morse should retire before he does more damage to himself.

    3. Do not overpay Edmunds,  be realistic about his value,  if somebody else wants to overspend,  that's their problem.

    4. Do not spend one more draft pick on the defensive line until WR and O line are addressed.

  2. When was the last time a RB centric team made the Super Bowl,  let alone won it?  The last one I remember was Bettis with the Steelers.  Hard to keep up with teams that rack up 30 plus points a game when you're grinding it out on the ground. Rbs are complementary pieces now, not worth a massive investment.   Case in point Henry with the Titans.  They should have kept AJ Brown.

  3. Can we just name AFC and NFC all star teams and call it a day? It's obvious no one actually cares about the game so why bother?  The current system renders the designation meaningless. If I was an owner, GM, or coach, and one of my team's premier players tore an ACL playing in this joke of a game I'd be furious.   It's not like the college all star games where lesser known talent tries to get noticed.

  4. The Bengals came in loaded for bear with a great game plan and nearly flawless execution.  The Bills picked a bad day to have a bad day.  There were some bad mismatches from the start and once they fell behind it was apparent they were in for a long day.  Survived some close calls late in the season,  Went to the  well one too many times and came up empty.

  5. Blame Frazier if it makes you feel better, but judging by average points allowed, the Bills are actually middle of the pack.  Guess half the league needs to fire their DC'S.

The league has bent over backwards to help offenses.  Investing heavily in defense is an expensive strategy with diminished returns.

Some of these teams are going to drop 30+ on you regardless, so fight fire with fire.  The best defense now is putting up 35 or more.

The Bills Backers of Fenway are alive and well. We have a Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/190390600967/about/) and mailing list (BillsBackersFenway@gmail.com)

Buckets of Genny and Blue are always available, and there is a special menu during games including garbage plates and beef on weck.

It's really a great group of people, and we always have a laugh when Patriots fans walk in and are dumbfounded to see a room full of Bills fans in the heart of Boston.

May the Lord bless you...you are truly pilgrims in an unholy land....?

  7. You could leave the schedules and divisions intact. Then seed the playoffs based on record and if you win a crappy division but don't qualify for the playoffs, oh well, season over.

A second idea could be to abandon conferences, play half of the league each year, and simply seed the top 12 teams. This should increase the likelihood if 12 most deserving teams making it and creates the best odds for a highly competitive Super Bowl.

  8. What about the Chargers?

    1. Rivers is about ready to retire.

    2.  He could use the rest of the season to get reacclimated, hit the ground running for next year.

    3. LA would be a pretty favorable landing spot for him, compared to other sites.

    4. There's some workable talent on the team already.

    5. If he can't outcompete Tyrod Taylor it's all a moot point anyway.

  9. Or maybe, just maybe, these guys aren't that good right now.

The o line has lots of room for improvement.  Better than last year, but that's not saying much.

WR needs upgrading, I like Brown and Beasley, but the rest are basically irrelevant.

TE is still a liability, 2 rookies, a no show and a penalty machine.

RB is oddly utilized,  not sure of the strategy here..

QB Allen has mitigated the Ints, but still fumbles way to much.  Also throwing behind and over guys a lot.

Let's see where they are at the end of the season ,would be nice to get over 300 yards once or twice, but not counting on it.

Pats losing to the Ravens tonight seals that.

Buffalo is being overlooked by absolutely everyone as a good team.

But we've also beaten every team we were "supposed" to beat. Who cares how it looked?

Seahawks went to overtime against an inferior 2 win Bucs team with a turnover prone QB. Will the conversation be about how the 'Hawks are in trouble? Probably not.

Packers lost to the 3-5 Chargers today. They're still going to be talked about as a legitimate Super contenders and this game will likely be an afterthought.

Patriots have only beaten one team with a winning record: that was Buffalo and it was by 6 points in a game that they had a fluke ST TD and knocked our starting QB out for the entire 4th quarter. Tonight they got dominated like we did last week against the Eagles.

So that leaves the Ravens. We play them. They stomped the Patriots. But they also got stomped by the 2 win Cleveland Browns. It's not like they're unbeatable.

Wins are Wins and any team in the NFL can win in any given week, so don't overlook anyone!

    Just keep winning Buffalo!!!

The difference? Those teams have a resume.  The Bills really don't yet.

It's a week to week league. Get the w against the Brownies and you're one step closer.

Good things happen when you play good defense, and don't kill yourself with penalties and turnovers.

    Go Bills!
