  1. Why do we feel the need to poke fun at Jones? He has bared his soul to us and apologized for his past behavior. He's going to clean up his life and get his degree. Recent events should remind us all that life is short. Let's not spend our time picking nits, let's celebrate the transformation of Packman Jones.

Great post, Bb. I've grown weary of all the MTV-in-your-face-smackdown-commentary in cyberland. Everybody ripping on everybody else for no good reason. Tearing down is so much easier than building up and we've become lazy in that regard.

    Thanks for the reminder.

    GO BILLS!!!

Agreed. Especially with the sentence I bolded.

  2. From the article:

The fine recalls an episode involving Chicago quarterback Jim McMahon in the playoffs following the 1985 season, the previous time the Bears made the Super Bowl.

McMahon wore a headband that said "adidas" in a playoff game against the New York Giants, and then-commissioner Pete Rozelle fined him $5,000 because the shoe company was not an NFL sponsor. The following week, in the NFC title game against the Los Angeles Rams, McMahon wore a headband that read "rozelle."

    Funny stuff.

  3. consider the vista experiment over. It ran great and all, but when i can't play nhl 07 on my $3000 gaming laptop, there's a problem... So, i restored my xp image and i'm good to go again.

This has little to do with your post, but have you given platform gaming systems a shot (Xbox 360, Wii ...etc?) I personally seem to enjoy having my computer issues/gaming issues seperate.

  4. If we aren't the most sensitive fans in the country, I don't know who is.

Look, we've sucked for a decade - we've floundered with GMs, coaches and QBs. It seems we are on the right track but if this coaching staff isn't as good as I'm giving them credit for, we could easily spiral to a 4 or 5 win season.

I'm seeing lots of love for the Sabres everywhere. That's what happens when we win. Does that give them an unfair advantage in free agency? Hey that comes with the territiry.

Good post. Ditto. Why can people not understand this?

  5. Am I losing my mind or are you? If we traded for Turner, you'd be happy with drafting 3 LBs, 2 more RBs and 2 DBs? Or are you finding a way to tell N.Y. Orangeman he's lost his mind and I'm too thick to catch it?

Considering how decrepid I see our secondary being with Toast McGee and Youboty starting, I would'nt mind drafting 2 DB's.

  6. bugmenot.com? It's impossible to bypass all authentication systems, but this site lets people register known username and password combinations.
    That's the one I couldn't remember. Thanks

That was it! Thanks for the help guys.

Great Blue North has updated their 3 round mock draft and so I decided to map out three possible draft scenarios for the Bills. I only picked players that were available when the Bills turn came. The third scenario is the Bills swaping first round picks with Denver (who after missing out on Patrick Kearney would possibly love to be able to draft Adam Carriker) with the Bills also getting Denver's second round pick. It's only a scenario, pure speculation on my part. BTW, Peterson was off the board.

    1st scenario:

    1st Patrick Willis MLB

    2nd Brian Leonard FB

    3rd Antonio Pittman RB

    3rd Anthony Waters OLB

    2nd scenario:

    1st Marshawn Lynch RB

    2nd Josh Wilson CB

    3rd Justin Durant MLB

    3rd Anthony Waters OLB

    3rd scenario:

    1st Paul Posluszny OLB

    2nd Brian Leonard FB

    2nd Tanard Jackson CB

    3rd Justin Durant MLB

    3rd Brandon Jackson RB

Though I really like Lynch, the other two scenarios would also work for me. But then again, I was the one picking them.

Also how did we get the second 2nd round pick in the 3rd scenario?

I don't understand why so many people are so high on Leonard for the Bills? Especially with a 2nd round draft pick. Wasn't this the guy who was a RB for multiple years and then got switched to a FB his senior year because of a better RB on the team?

  9. I take it by "this website" you don't mean THIS website, as it doesn't contain premium content.

My best advice is to go to the site, then google what you are looking for as an "in site" google. Then view the cached version of the google entry.

Some sites have that covered, but many do not.

'Girls Gone Wild' Founder Defies Federal Judge, Refuses to Surrender to U.S. Marshals

    PANAMA CITY, Fla. —

The founder of the "Girls Gone Wild" videos has defied a federal judge, calling him a "judge gone wild" and refusing to surrender to U.S. marshals on a contempt citation.

U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak ordered Joe Francis into custody after settlement negotiations soured in a lawsuit brought by seven women who were minors when Francis' company filmed them on Panama City Beach.

The 34-year-old Francis, who makes an estimated $29 million a year through the videos of girls exposing their breasts, drew the contempt order Wednesday after lawyers for the women said Francis threatened them during negotiations.

Francis told The Associated Press late Thursday that Smoak "had lost his mind."

"This judge has gone as far as to call me the devil and an evildoer," he said. "It is a case of a judge gone wild."

Francis' attorneys appealed the order that would send him to jail; the court had not issued an opinion Thursday evening. Smoak denied a request by Francis to stay the order pending the appeal.

Smoak refused requests for comment Thursday.

Holy crap. I'm surprised people haven't started criticizing you for not posting the reason or "your point" in posting this.

  11. I have been trying to google search this website for a little while now and I cant seem to find it. A while ago, I found a website where if you put in the URL of the premium content you want to see (any website that charges for articles...etc) it will bring up the page without you having to pay for it. Does anyone remember what the url of this website is?

  12. Your post is excellent, if we give up more for Turner than we gained with McGahee's departure then Marv will forver be known to me as Marvtard and forced to wear a helmet while riding in the front seat of the orchard park short bus.

I don't like Turner one bit and I'm against aquiring him at any cost, unless it's a 7th rounder.

    Why?

  13. So continuing to respond to posts defending yourself is going to make the thread less about you? Especially considering that the rest of us don't seem to get it, as you say?

When people are attacked (or flamed ... whatever way is the proper lingo in todays internet), they tend to try and defend themselves. But you're right. I am done with this thread.

  14. You have to expect people to respond to a thread you make in the PPP board. If you don't want to get in the same debate, why keep posting and replying to the replies in this thread? You are just stoking the fires of those that do want to debate this issue, an issue, I might add, that didn't just dry up because there's already been an existing thread on it a couple months ago. Me thinks you doth protest too much.

Are people really not getting this? I have no problem with people responding to the article. Respond, talk about it, or just ignore it. But the last 3 pages have nothing to do with the article and everything to do with me. As I said in page 2 to Uconn James. I should have put a disclaimer.

I guess you skipped over the THIRD POST where you didn't have a point, and it was "just an article".

I have explained why I said that multiple times. If you still dont know, then im sorry but I dont know any other way to help you understand.

  15. Considering their "Number one listened to Sports Radio Station in the country" ranking was reported in the Buffalo News, I think they have every right to report, and even brag about it.

I find it funny that you are so insecure that you need to point out that the size of the market they work in means they are minor leaguers.

I choose to live in this city and I have a great job, are you also insinuating that my success in mitigated by the fact that I live in a "minor league" city and I couldn't cut it somewhere else?

Oh and by the way, I don't believe WGR bought out WNSA, when Adelphia folded the Empire Sports Network it also shut down the radio station, so don;t go insinuating that GR bought out the competition.

This is just my guess, but I think if a major sports broadcaster was given the choice between working in LA or Buffalo, he is going to pick LA, and about 20 other cities before he picks Buffalo. That (in my humble opinion), somewhat DOES infer us as minor leaguers.
