  1. So it is ok to be off by two, or even one whole yard? Gotcha, just don't try to make the claim that every single play

in the last two minutes is reviewed then.

Relax man. There's an element of human error in this sport and everybody knows it. The refs placed the ball at the spot they thought it should go and then Orton hiked and spiked it. Not a lot of time for the booth to initiate a review of the spot. Asking for perfection is ridiculous in any facet of the game.

  2. i started a thread about the CB, Brandon Browner. It appears he will have a ton of impact, unfortunately. I don't know much about Tyms, the WR.

I saw the other thread about Browner after I asked my question, oh well. I looked up Tyms a little and I don't think he'll be much of anything to worry about. He has size and speed, see Aaron Dobson, and made some acrobatic catches in preseason. Some don't expect him to play this week due to limited reps with Brady and would more likely expect to see him during the weeks 7-9 timeframe.

  3. If we win this game, it could give us enough momentum going forward to go 5-1, 6-0 over the next six, winnable, games. And that would be huge going into December when we play the broncos and packers.

If only best case scenarios came true in Buffalo...

Exactly. I think it's very possible that we go 6-2 going into our bye week.

EDIT: This isn't to say that I think the games at home against Minnesota or at the Jets are a lock by any means. Each game provides their own unique challenges.

  4. I wouldn't mind trading him for a first. The only trouble I see with it is that our RB future might be in question then. As amazing as Freddie has been playing, who knows if he'll be back next season or in 2 seasons. If spiller and freddie are gone, who gets the start, or what is our running committee rather? Try and draft a winner?

  5. So a first and second round pick from Clemson and USC are going to be inspired/intimidated by a journeyman QB from Purdue??? They will probably laugh at him if he gets in their face...

I don't know if alum status really come into play here. I think any veteran who has been in the league since 2005 knows how to get the attention of first and second year players. ie: not his first rodeo.

  6. The article says that, according to unnamed source, Kiko is ahead of schedule in his recovery. Is there a chance he could return later this season? I wasn't sure about the specifics of his IT designation.

This is from a Bleacher Report article on 9/3/14. Take it for what it's worth since it is BR, but it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.

He's currently on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list. It leaves open the remote possibility of Alonso returning to the practice field for a three week stint to determine if he's fit to return to the roster or be put on the shelf for the rest of the season. That window opens at the conclusion of Week 6.

It seems highly unlikely, but at this point Alonso isn't closing the door on the 2014 season.

  7. It's nice to see Preston Brown get some recognition.

    >>Despite Alonso’s absence, third-round rookie Preston Brown has been a very bright spot, logging plenty of snaps and leading the Bills in tackles (40). Depending on whether the team decides to re-sign linebacker Brandon Spikes after his one-year, $3 million deal ends following this season, Brown will likely play the strong side and Alonso the weak side.

Also, Colin Coherd just picked us to win with the +7 spread in part of his Blazin 5 picks.
