  1. I know most are feeling great with the Bills sitting at 5-2. IMO, getting to 6-2 is critical. Lose and we face four straight challenging opponents. (NO, @SD, @KC, NE) SD on the road will not be a gimme. Losing to the Jets and things could change very quickly. Curious to what everyone's expectations are with these next five games. IMO, we have to come away with 3 wins at a minimum. Anything less and things look dramatically different.

    Let's go Buffalo!

I disagree with needing to come away with 3 wins at a minimum. Obviously it would be nice, but remember that after the Pats home game, it is Indy and Miami at home. Those should be 2 wins. If it is 2-3 over the next five games, and take care of business at home vs. Colts and Fins, sitting at 9-5 going into the @ Cheats and @ Fins game, needing one win out of those two, I'll take that as worst case.

  2. No offense (and I didn't bother watching the highlights since ASU had no business losing that game), but I am a big time ASU football fan, and they had the WORST pass defense in all of college football last year. That's right, #128 out of 128.

That said, I'll be eagerly watching him play in P12AfterDark this year to see what he brings as a senior.

  4. I'm not buying this premise. The Bills' defense has looked great in two games (IND and MIA), Pretty good in one game (NYG), and not very good in one game (NE). I recall the Schwartz defense also getting lit up for 37 by Brady and the Patriots in the one game that they really tried. It's still too early to worry about this so called issue IMO. I expect the D will congeal into an excellent unit on a more consistent basis in time.

    Couldn't agree more.

People have the right to complain if, and this is a big IF given the talent that we have, production (i.e. stopping the opponents from scoring) does not equate to wins after game # 16. I fully expect this unit to be in the top 10 of a lot of statistical categories when the regular season ends and they prepare for the first playoff game in 15 years.

R-E-L-A-X with the knee-jerk reaction after only 4 games.

  5. 1) Smart move re. Cundiff. Low risk, and now we have some insurance if Carpenter still struggles.

    2) But I am disappointed re cutting Thigpen. Not his fault that the blocking on ST has been terrible. He is an outstanding return guy. But I wonder if they think Moore gives them better flexibility-- i.e., can actually play WR and probably return punts.

In response to #2, when you fair catch THREE punts inside the opponents 10 yard line and can't judge the way the ball is coming at you and realize that all 3 would have gone through the back of the end zone, you don't deserve to keep that job. Cost them at least 10-12 yards of field position each time.

  6. WOW By +3 is a bigger number than I expected. 3 is the default spread for the hoe team. So they are saying the Bills w/o a proven QB is even with Luck?

The Indy D must be really bad.

    By 10? :flirt:

You have that mixed up. They're saying that the Bills w/o a proven QB is 6 points worse than Luck, but with the 3 points for the home team, it's only +3.

  7. Chandler should also be gone for not recovering the fumble in the end zone too, right???

Yeah, Bryce looked great fumbling away that touchdown when the Bills were dominating the Chiefs.

I get your point and it is a valid one, but don't use Bryce Brown as an excuse against Marrone. Bryce should be gone because of his proven history of fumbling, not just with the Bills but with his last team too.

  8. Chills.....So awesome to see a guy like Kyle who has never taken a play off, has played through injuries and has poured his heart and soul into this team, get as fired up as he did in that locker room. This might have been the biggest win of his career (which will hopefully be trumped by week 16 and 17 wins!).

Let's hope they channel that energy and passion and play the next 120 minutes like they have the previous 120 minutes.

    Go Bills!
