  1. We should definitely trade Stevie to Carolina because they have no WRs, this way we can have no WRs. Only makes sense

Glad other people are thinking the same thing. IDKY everyone hates on this man. He is open every play, plays hurt, still gets open while he's hobbeling around, loves Buffalo, wants to be here, loves the fans, loves his teammates, 3 straight 1000 yd seasons....yea lets trade him b/c he's dropped a few passes...smh. if we had a QB to actually throw to him he'd be tops in the league. Imagine him on the Pats? or With Peyton, Brees, etc...he'd be unstoppable. lets trade him tho for a 7th rd pick to carolina...brilliant!

  2. Saying its good that the bills brought in two former number one picks is nothing more than polishing a turd. Williams was the worst OL player on a bad Rams Oline. Kind of reminds me of the Legursky signing. Legursky could not break into a bad Pitt Oline but we plug him as a started, now we plug in this guy? Keith has underperformed everywhere he has been. Tell me why you would not take his 2.5 and apply that to Byrd a pro bowl player. You could back fill Keith an UDFA rookie and not lose any production. After five years in the league it doesn't matter where a guy was drafted, it matters if he is a player.

Graham is a good signing and means we don't need to draft a DB very high, but we do have to draft a safety by round 3.

I am also glad they resigned Carpenter but again if you take the $MM's to sign him, add it to Keith's $2.5 annual cost you have at least half of Byrd's salary! And we have Hokins still on the roster to replace Carpenter.

So you would rather have a guy who doesn't want to play for this team, fakes an injury so he doesn't have to play, and makes playes sporadically throughout the season, over a kicker who made over 90% of his kicks, and was ridiclous from 50 plus?! yea b/c going 4/4 in a game on FG's is not as important as 4 INT's per season.....smh

  3. Byrd is/was over-hyped!! how can you not see that? Jim Leonard had just as many int's as byrd did, played half as many games. also had a fumble recovery or two...byrd is a "ball hawk" b/c he just floated around waiting for a tipped pass...never made a "huge" tackle, like you see Leodis or gilmore or A. williams do many many times. did you ever see the guy running side by side the receiver making a play? no! and don't tell me safety's aren't supposed to do that, b/c sometimes the do. he's overrated and nothing but a selfish "money hawk" and I was truly hoping he didn't get they money he wanted and then came back to B'lo where we would then tell him to stick it! obviously it didn't happen, but wish him nothing but bad luck with the Saints!

  4. I said it b4...good for me i know...but between EJ, Vick and Thad we could run the same offense if any were to get hurt. just insert QB here. between the 3 of them, who have all shown to get hurt quite easily, we could field a decent QB for a full season! We'd make history with having all 3 QB's to be of the "african american" decent as well. anything to get national attention is good for the Bills!

  5. Losing seasons, Letting top talent go instead of tagging them to get picks to assist the team? So far it looks like the same **** Ralph Wilson has done for Decades. This team is not making progress regardless of the wishing and koolaid Drinking many fans do.

He would have been the highest paid safety in the league. they offered him more than what he is worth and he said no. when are you "fans" going to realize, Byrd don't want to be in Buffalo no mo! what are you going to get for him after you tag him? a team would have to pay nearly $15 mil for one year guranteed and take a big cap hit, we'd be lucky to get anything for him at all! get a clue

  6. Something something poor work ethic something something our D had lots of sacks last year something something fake injuries and speeding tickets.

The next 20 replies, summed up.

yea I know. I rarely look at this site anymore b/c that's all it ever seems to be. But still, I think the Bills should just go all in with their D-line! Best offense is a great defense!

  7. I don't see the point in arguing about EJ. Fact is he didn't play enough to find out who he is. From the season he had you can see that, he has to work on his progressions and footwork. That will help his accuracy. If his accuracy improves then so will his confidence. If that happens he can be solid b/c in a few games this year when it came pressure time, he stood up and made plays. On buffalobills.com they did a little stat sheet about last 4 mins of each half, he improved dramatically. yes, teams tend to go into a prevent defense, but we have seen many QB's, lots of them in a Bills uni, choke, even when the other team was in the prevent. so, what's this all mean? EJ needs to play this year, we need to have some sort of contingency play in place, which BTW Kirk Cousins is NOT IT! Matt Schaub would be a great pick up, houston has no offensive clue.

  8. I'm sure you have seen it by now, the "Make A Wish" foundation and The Buffalo Bills teamed up and gave a young man a wish come true. With all the trash talking, finger pointing, and the normal hoopla, I just want to take the time to say what a great organization BOTH the Buffalo Bills and the Make a Wish foundation truly are. My Son had a "wish" come true by the Make a Wish 10 years ago, it was a blessing and you wouldn't beleive how much it really helped. We ended up going to Sea World in San Diego and it was awesome. Too bad my son was too young to really appreciate football, the Bills make a wish would have been killer, no just kidding, sea world was amazing. But if you ever get the chance, try to make a donation to them, happiness can work miracles, especially when it comes to children. Buffalo Bills, class act organization, especailly when it comes to charities! Bills for life!

  9. you know what we should do? Let Byrd walk, and draft a pro-bowl safety. Trade Spiller and draft a electric running back. Trade Kyle Williams and draft a dominate DL or pick one up in FA. Cut Fred Jackson b/c he is too old and draft a hard nosed, bad ass, heart and soul RB. Trade Stevie and pick up a "stud" WR in the draft, we need "Calvin Johnson" type, just get someone exactly like him. Get rid of Chandler, even tho he is the first TE we have had since Pete M. pick one up in FA or the draft. Keep EJ and let Thad walk. Let EJ develop for 3 or 4 more years. with a couple more solid drafts we will be right "there". Trade Marcell for a 6th and 7th rd pick, I saw a kicker for a D3 college that was really good we could probably get in one of those rounds. we do this and watch out NE! the divison will be ours!!!!!!!!

  10. I'd go with "unlucky" for the time being.

I mean, a guy who plays football from the time he is 12 without sustaining any injuries whatsoever until his first season in the NFL doesn't sound like a guy who's "injury prone" to me.

I just read one of the articles linked on this site, paraphrasing "the NFL is a different animal" playing pee wee, high school and even college where you are bigger, faster and better than everyone, you are less likely to get hurt. it's facts not luck

  11. So we are throwing out any times that players miss entire seasons but counting smaller batches of games where EJ gets hurt? That doesnt make much sense.

how doesn't that make sense? Brady had his leg broke in half by an illegal low hit, Manning was some nerve degeneration and Brees had his shoulder blasted. EJ has been hit "normally" and is getting hurt left and right, and in the knees where he's going to take many many more hits. Other than those "Major" ONE TIME deals, they never miss a game. Look at Vick, never healthy, great player but can't rely on him. Fitz got crushed nearly every down, he was one tough dude, hardly missed a game, if at all.

  12. The crazy thing right now is to say "he is not injury prone"....uuuummmm....yes he is! Brady, Manning, Brees, Rivers, all the great and good QB's, even Eli...lol...have not missed a snap this season. In fact, other than the major injuries where Brady, Manning, Brees, missed the season, they don't get hurt! Favre played like 18 years b4 missing a game. I know that was crazy, but still. He's our "franchise" QB, who has missed 5 games this season I believe, and if you count the 2nd half of the Browns game, 5.5. Throw in the Pre-season because yea, he wasn't healthy enough to play, so 7.5 games he has been hurt. To say that he just needs a whole off season to heal...okay so he does. then come next year takes another shot to the knees, which he will, he goes out again?!?! we need to draft another QB, preferably Johnny Football, keep EJ and Thad, both have proven they can win, see how EJ does and then if we have another rookie, see how he does if and when EJ goes down. Or if that rookie proves to be decent enough to start give him a shot, if that doesn't work you have EJ or Thad to try and develop as well. Maybe throw in a decent vet like Schaub or Vick, he would fit perfectally with our other QB's. Thad, EJ, Vick tend to get hurt but all kind of same. just insert QB and keep playing, between the 3 should be able to finish the season.

  13. When the shot to the head against Aaron Williams was called, I beleive they called a "15 yard holding" which there is no such thing, the ref corrected himself and call in unsportsmanlike 15 yard hit to the head. The Falcons were around the 6 yard line and they only moved back to the 16 when they should have been at the 21. On the next play is when the "pass interference" was called and the ball placed on the 1 yard line...just 1 of many beyond horrible calls and/or plays that cost the Bills this game.

  14. forget the draft! when we run the table...9-7 will get us a spot. we will own tiebreakers over Jets, Miami and pretty sure San Diego...The titans aren't a threat b/c of their schedule and the only concern would be Pit finishing 9-7. we need them to go 3-2 over next 5 games and we're in! i know every year we need to run the table and have a gillion things happen, but this year feels different! I think marone is different!!!

  15. Me to. It means alot. Alot.

FYI..."alot" is actually two words...."a lot" just sayin'

I'm about to have a stroke because I am so impressed that the OP posted a message which is grammatically correct!

And I apologize to all SW posters for (my) thinking that you are ignorant because you don't know the difference between: to & too, are & our, there & their & they're, your & you're, were & where & we're, and my favorite, lose & loose. LOL

ETA: affect & effect, accept & except, now & know! LOL

  16. well early on especially, I noticed that every time Spiller was in the back field, they handed it off to him! The Jets knew he was getting the ball and went after him! they need to use some playaction with him, even tho he can't pass block that well just run a little chip block screen to him a few times. also, how about maybe trick play, have him throw it once to get it on tape, unless he can't throw for crap, idk. but one things certain, it was too predictable when he was in there. have both back in at same time, let freddy lead cj on a couple runs. i also would have liked to see Tashard Choice in, the power run game seemed to be working good yesteday, with Freddy and Summers. Maybe he didn't even dress? does anyone know? Choice that is.

  17. In what range do they black out the games? Could one drive to say, Rochester, and watch the game?

I live 220 miles from R.Wilson Stadium...in eastern upstate NY! the games are STILL under the "LOCAL" black out rule! Takes me over 4 hours to get to the stadium!!! I would have season tickets if I lived closer and didn't work every sunday! I have to record every game and watch it when I get home. What gets me is, there are sometimes when the game is sold out, and is NOT ON TV! they will have the Jets game on, or some other crappy AFC game. it hasn't happened this year...yet, but last year 1 or 2 times and the year before it was 3 times! and when the game was supposed to be on the next week, you got it....BLACK OUT! pisses me right the hell off big time!!!

in the 90's or so they would black out Rochester but let Syracuse have the game...Rochester area picked up Syracuse channels so all we had to do was flip over to the Syracuse channels...someone caught on to this and widened the blackout radius to include Syracuse...Cortland probably also gets Syracuse channels so they probably fall into that category...

yes this is true, I am under the "syracuse" channels as well, even though I live well over an hour, east of there! Binghamton has it's own TWC "headquarters" so they are not under the Syracuse blackout and get the games, but they are not always on there, I used to live there and my parents still do, The Jets are on a lot! which is like 4 hours to the Jets stadium in New Jersey, so I really don't get it.

  18. and now your take on the 4th and 5?

how about, our defense had a better chance of scoring than our offense? I was actually okay with the call. They couldn't manage a first down all day, why would it change on 4th and 5? try to pin them at the 1 and hope for a good stop. besides, EJ would have dropped back, thrown a 100mph checkdown, swing type pass to FJ, he would have to catch it at his feet, Freddy being Freddy would make a ridiclous play and get 4 amazing yards when any other RB would lose 5 yards.
