  1. We are looking for a develop-MENTAL quarterback. A real phyco

    Somebody like Terrelle Pryer.

    Man, that guy can run...........

I like that idea as well.. developmental like EJ, showed glimpses of raw talent and we don't have a first. Ultimately I think we need 3 qbs on this roster with Tuel on PS.
  2. Do you say that because you are happy with our QB situation or because you think there is a better alternative out there?

At this point I will settle for 'solid insurance'

Honest question- what did he do in Dallas that makes you say that?

he forced their hand on releasing him when he dint show up to camp. Some sort of stipulation with the pay in his contract. He does not want to play football anymore. I don't get it. There are much better prospects. Tebow and Freeman are both considerably better with potential upsides. Orton has been on the decline for years. This team makes me hate them, then hate myself for hating them... forgive and start the process again. I feel like I'm on the show LOST. Get me off the island or let me die.
  3. Oh I would certainly take Sancheese over Baddeus and Fuel.

Now were talking about Pat McGroin the Raiders third stringer.

The season really needs to get here

I hear ya.. and its sad that we actually have to be concerned about this because it was definitely overlooked by staff. Idk if they thought Thad would progress and he has become absolute garbage or really believe EJ will stay healthy and is it. But I know the Bills are making a mistake when I'm jealous of the jets and dolphins qb situations.
  4. What would it take to get this 3rd stringer from the Raiders? Their wide receivers didn't look great. TJ Grahm for McGloin straight up? The kid looked confident, decisive in his decision making, showed escapability and great vision. Decent zip on the ball as well. I could see him yelling at the scrubs in front of him, he kinda reminds me of a Romo... hopefully without the choke artist mentality. We're going to release TJ anyway. How about TJ and a 7th? Get it done because this guy is definitely an improvement on Bad Lewis and Dennis NonexDixont. Easy move to make here. We've gotta get someone.

Tuels only advantage is his familiarity with our offense. With the way we went through Qbs last year we need someone at least pushing Tuel.

  5. Why not wait until Ponder is cut? I could see Hogan developing into a game ready slot receiver in a position where we will always need depth. Hogan is not posing a problem Marrone is just smart enough to see how Hogan responds to 1st team snaps. We know what Robert Woods is capable of and he's awesome. With this chip on his shoulder he could very well become a 1000 yd receiver this year. Hogan has responded well so far... terrific problem to have if you ask me.

  6. For someone highlighted in ESPN magazine for an elite, supremely athletic body type he always seems to be hurt. This is gettin old. But it'll be a wash if Hogan turns out to be a decent slot guy for us. Goodwins durability may leave the door open for TJ to stick around. I like Goodwin alot an think he is unique... Olympic speed, outstanding leaping ability and great hands. All that means nothing if you're ridin the pine injured.

  7. Considering us supposed "Impatient" Bills fans are here daily mourning the loss of our first round pick next year and fearing the worst as we have been conditioned to do for 14 years. Is EJ going to bust? I don't know but I can tell you with some certainty that the odds are not great for Tuel or Thad to reach a pro bowl or get us out of this deep deep hole. Soooo.. if you could have your choice of any free agent QB , who you believe would be physically able to play and an improvement on EJ, who would it be? Keep in mind he would have to fit our offensive scheme as well, preferable mobile. I have come up with 3.

Josh Freeman- Had a tough shake in Tampa which has resulted in a loss of confidence and probably most concerning mental stability. But he has been successful in this league, is mobile enough to escape the pocket and pick up a few. Has a similar build to Ej, big arm and if given the support needed I think he will rebound. Also with the addition of Mike Williams he has some familiarity, bonus!?

Tim Tebow- Imagine our run game with this wrinkle sprinkled into the game plan, Yikes. Tebow has been to the playoffs, won in the playoffs and with what? A great defense and young play makers. Similar to our current situation. The Tebow criticism is the added attention he brings and you know what, I don't care. The kid won games and along side our run game he would thrive. A big bomb every so often that our receivers can run under and he would draw enough attention to do it. Then pound the rock, it would be something! Perhaps even giving this kid, which I imagine many feel is a product of over exposure in the media rather than being worthless to a football team... maybe by giving him a shot cuz Belicheat wouldn't and the Jets wouldn't, maybe we will lift the Flutie curse.. lil popcorn fart he is.

Vince Young- Still in shape, I have no clue outside of his financial problems why he was cut his first time round with us... too much competition for fitztragic perhaps. I'm sure he'd come out of retirement to play for any team, at all.

I would take literally any single one of these guys over Tuel and Thad.. and that's the problem. EJ needs to be pushed by someone who has attributes that will rival his own. This is how the greatest of athletes differentiate themselves from just players of a game. I get EJ is self motivated, studious, coachable... he does not have someone else who wants it just as bad or worst. Neither of our back ups make EJ sweat in the least. What's your take? Any other realistic options out there in free agency? Am I off my rocker?

  8. I dont know about awful.

Ivory was pretty good last year and Chris Johnson can hit the homerun any play.

No love for the eagles with Mccoy who is probably a top 3 back along with elusive Sproles who is probably a top 10 back (from San diego, to new orleans, to philly)

I'll admit Ivory came on stronger towards the end of the year, they are not what I would call good. As for sproles I think with Chip Kellys offense he could be a top 20 back and have some electric plays but I see McCoy carrying the load especially if he's shooting for 2000 yds. Sproles age is beginning to slow him down, Fred Ex... not so much. I truly think we have 3 top tier rbs in Spills, Jackson and Brown, while Booby is a #2 whose been stuck behind Gore and flavors of the draft(Harbaugh loves his rbs) during his time there.
  9. Every rookie QB has bad games, and EJ had his no doubt. But every rookie QB doesn't have 2 4th qtr comebacks either. I think you chose a poor example. His numbers extrapolate to 3/season. Over a 12 year career, if we give him a chance and he finds it, those numbers are very good. The needle is pointing up on this guy IMO.

That Raiders comeback 2 years ago was insane!
