Rob's House.......I agree with everything you're saying. I love when that happens! I especially like this line:

My first thought when reading that was Drew Bledsoe!! He put up numbers...lots of bright shiny numbers but in the clutch he was worthless. I spent most of Drew's career screaming 'Get rid of the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!' He was maddening! He held onto the ball longer than anyone I can remember then he'd get sacked....over and over again........Ugh...........
When Flutie lined up behind Center, I just believed he could win. More importantly, Doug believed! He was confident and fearless.
Man, watching him was a treat!

If I wanted to talk about it in the Aaron Hernandez thread I would have posted it there. It makes no sense, if I'm having a conversation on a thread, what are we suppose to say to each other, well we can't talk about that here, we have to go to another thread and bounce all around trying to keep track of a conversation. It's one thing if we were on the stadium wall, but we're in the "off the wall" forum.

very slow bills news, nfl news. hopefully none of the players will get into trouble on their time off. they really need to follow a few simple rules and they will be ok.
1. keep your guns at home and safely locked.
2. always have a dedicated driver.
3. keep your drunk ass off of twitter.
But some of that offseason drama was fun!! Whitner gettin' tazed, Marshawn driving away from a hit 'n run with weave dangling in his grill..............also, didn't Marshawn steal $20 from a Cop's wife?!! Good times...............
Any of you all watching the NBA Finals?? I saw the end of game 6. Man, those dudes are HUGE!!!!!!!!!!! I only watch College Hoops so I'm not used to seeing such big guys. That was quite a battle tonight. It was kinda fun to watch.
Bilz has been watching the entire NBA playoffs....only not live. He records it 'cause I'm such a hag that I won't let him watch it live... I suck!
I pull the ol', 'I'll go in the bedroom and watch TV' or 'I'll stay with my Mom....'
I'm trying REALLY hard to get my mind ready to watch game 7 on Thursday. A nice chick would let her fella watch the final game!! I'm gonna try.............(but I don't want to...........)

Bob Dylan's 72....somehow I thought Bobbie would be older......or dead! I'm glad he's still around........

I guarantee that if EJ is not good he will not have legions of fans across the country zealously supporting him regardless of which team he plays for or how badly he plays. How any of you can be so in love with a former Jet and current frigging *Patriot is beyond me. This is a Bills fan site and you are supposedly Bills fans. Time to reevaluate.

Anyone see when you say Tebow is a bad QB people bring up his college career "has nothing to do with NFL lol" and one pass in a playoff game. It reminds me of when Fitz did well for a few games and he got a huge contract.
Of course people bring up his College career 'cause it demonstrates what he's capable of. He has only played about one season in the NFL and yeah, he (and his team) won a Playoff game. I'm just sayin' no one knows what he's capable of in the NFL because he hasn't really played since his brief time in Denver! Geez.............

Once it was 3rd and 26, in the snow, and Elway threw a bomb and they moved the chains!! He was automatic!! Man, he was fun to watch!!
Flutie totally had 'it'!! My Mom is not nor has she ever been an NFL fan but when I would ask her to watch a play Doug Flutie made, she would rush to the TV!! I think that says something!! A person who wasn't even a football fan could appreciate Doug Flutie!!

Why do you think the Media talks about Tebow all the time? Just look at this thread and you will know why. Tebow is that bad player that happened to get a chance in the NFL and was carried by his team to the playoffs then destroyed by an actually good team the Pats. So you get people that think he is good and people that know he isn't, they fight. Then you get those that hate Tebow and those that love him cult status, they fight. Then you end up with 16 pages of crap and in the end Tebow will still be a bad QB but a great guy.

He had played 3 games in '10 when he took over for a 1-4 Bronco team. That would basically make him a 'rookie'. People who say Tebow sucks give the Broncos 'Team' credit for the Playoff run. That same 'TEAM', that same 'DEFENSE' that was 1-4 with Orton.
The Broncos got beaten by 'an actually good team the Pats'.. So what were the Steeler???

No problem....Just giving my take on what QBs I like to watch and why. The important thing for a QB is executing the offense as it's designed with consistently accurate passing. But you like what you like....So enjoy.
CB, hold on! You've got me all wrong! The topic was Tebow....so I talked about watching him play. That is no reflection on my Quarterback preferences. None at all! Totally different topic..........Tebow wouldn't be a footnote in that discussion.
My all time favorite Quarterback was Mr. John Elway........Tebow couldn't hold his jock strap! Just wanted to straighten that out.............I prefer a ramblin' man with a gun of an arm....Johnnie and Brett Farve. They were something!
Being a Cowboys fan first and foremost (I'm a Bills fan by proxy...My husband's from WNY so I've grown fond of them over the years......but they're painful to watch.........) I dug Troy Aikman. He was accurate. He had a great arm but I found his game boring.............I much prefer Tony Romo!! Now there's 'what I like'. He can extend a play better than any QB playing in the League today.

I'm diggin' Marrone hard. Who else could they have gotten?? There didn't seem to be any takers..........Marrone is young and hungry. This is his big chance. What an opportunity for a young College coach!! I cannot wait to see what he does.
Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh had previous NFL experience. This is true. But their most recent jobs before coming back to the NFL were in College.....and Man!!! Look at 'em now!!
I'm hoping against hope that Marrone pulls a Harbaugh and turns this franchise around this season. Harbaugh did it his very first year....so it obviously can be done.
My buddy Joma said that he felt the Bills entire orginzation got complacent and had a defeatest attitude. It did feel to me as well that even the coaches over the last 10 years didn't really Billieve the Bills could be 'winners'....
I'm hoping Marrone can break the spell over this franchise....that they'll have a winning attitude and not accept mediocrity anymore.
A team's mindset and expectations can cripple them before the first game if they don't truly believe they can win. I hope Marrone instills confidence in his players. We shall see.............

I enjoy seeing Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, and RGIII among a number of excellent QBs play in the NFL. They not only play exciting football within the framework of an offense, but they can also hurt a defense by making a play when the offense breaks down.

Of course he's no Rodgers or RGIII but he can scramble with the best of 'em. To my point, I just thought he was fun to watch....that's all. If you don't think so, that's cool.
I'm glad he gets another chance to play. Who knows how the Pats will use him if at all. We shall see. It just feels a little more exciting (to me) when he comes onto the field. It's a wild ride.....

Steve, I LOVE reading that about Alonzo!! Man I hope it's true!! The Bills run defense has been basically non existent for years. I was a huge Puz fan but even I had to admit that the majority of his tackles were downfield.........wayyyyy downfield.
I'd love the Bills to have a guy who could smack a running back and bring him to a complete stop at the line of scrimmage! BAM! Here's hoping......
Any good news about the Offense??? I really hope Chandler brings it this year. He's a huge, strong guy and I think he has so much potential. I hope he becomes the Bills version of Gronk. Again......here's hoping............

I watched Gator football just to see Tebow play 'cause it was a blast!! He was one of a kind. Thrilling...When he took over for Orton in Denver, I watched every game just to see him play. Thrilling....
Those comebacks against Miami and Chicago were thrilling to watch. I had a blast. You don't get to see games like that every week.
I wish folks could be purely objective....Dude's fun to watch. Yep....kinda like Flutie was fun to watch.
Doug Flutie was the main reason I even started watching the Bills. I never saw anything like him before. Thrilling....'Flutie Magic'......sigh.......those were the days.....YUM!! Watching Flutie was the last time I really enjoyed a Bills game.

So........I go to three counties and pick up specimens which I then process and take to Fed Ex in Lexington for shipment. I have to be there by 8:45pm. Tonight I left my last pick up and as sometimes happens........I was running late. Ugh! It's the worst feeling. The mad dash to Fed Ex. I have, however, NEVER missed a drop off in 3 years!!
I had 15 minutes to get to Fed Ex and I really need about 25. I left Central Baptist Hospital and this chick in front of me was crawling along in the parking lot going ever so gently over the five or so speed bumps on the way to the exit.
I had no time to wait.......I passed her on the left and plowed over those speed bumps goin' about 30. I turned toward downtown Lexington, on a Friday night, mind you! It was lookin' bleak!!
I had 13 minutes! Tick....tick......tick......I started some lamaze breathing and just tried to calm down. I got lucky with the lights. They were green most of the way.
I thought 'if I make it to Main Street by 8:40pm, I might just make it!!' I approached Main Streeet. It was 8:38pm. There was a dude in front of me. The light turned yellow and instead of turning left, the MFer stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I screamed, 'Why God!!!!!!!!!!!!' and I beat the steering wheel. I couldn't believe he freakin' stopped on yellow!!My window was rolled down as was his...Ruh....roh..........
He was not pleased with my outburst. I buried my face in my hands and continued with the lamaze breathing.........FINALLY the light turned green and 'ol dude wanted to punish me or something for being so impatient so he just sat there!!!!!! Are you kidding me??!!!!!!!!! He looked at me in his rear view mirror to make his point.
Please!..........I just passed the jackhole on the right, pulled it left really sharp and fast in front of him and off I went.
I got to Fed Ex at 8:46:23........ The chick at the counter whom I've known for years said, 'Don't worry.......you're fine.'
WHEW!!!!!!!!!!! That was a close one!!
When that happens, I start thinking of all the times during the day when I could have shaved 30 seconds or 2 minutes here or there..........it's exhausting!
Football is a game or inches and my job is a game of seconds...........Charge!
No wonder I've had a speeding ticket and 3 wrecks since I've had this job! It's rough playing beat the clock. I swear I hear the 'Mission Impossible' theme song playing in my head............

It's nice to be able to stay connected. After a couple of weeks, I thought RF365 kicked the bucket for good.
Goose was having a problem with his email getting verified, that's why he was only able to post once. Hopefully he'll be back on here soon.

Totally agree CS!! My husband and I fought about Doug Flutie the very first day we met over 13 years ago!! It was our first argument and we continue to have the same argument at least twice a year! I call it our 'Bi-annual Flutie Fight'!! He hates Doug Flutie and I LOVE Doug so it gets ugly!!!
It's so futile to even discuss but somehow.....we get into out of the blue............sigh.............
But for me, A Cowboys fan, I never took notice of the Bills until Doug Flutie started playing. I became an NFL fan during the 1994 Superbowl. The Bills last one...........sorry!
I started watching the Bills when Doug took over at QB. I learned about him via 'Sportscenter' and then started watching the Bills.
I met my husband in 2000 so, as I say, I became a 'Bills fan by proxy.' I pull hard for them and the only NFL game I've ever attended was the Cincy game with the HUGE comeback win!! I had the best time!!
Anyway, my husband HATES the Cowboys........I kinda understand that.....I love my Boys first and foremost but I pull for the Buffalo Bills and cry when they suffer those unbelievable gut wrenching losses!!! My guy just tanks...............it's bleak.
I always have a fall back team to cheer for, even though they haven't done that well for years, I still love Romo and watching them play. But my guy lives and dies with the Bills. I swear they have aged him!!!! They break his heart every year but he loves them, as do all Bills fans.
But I agree with you........the last time they were 'fun' to watch was when Flutie was behind Center. Since then..........ooooohhhhh some agonizing seasons!!!
For me personally, Trent Edwards was by far the WORST QB I've seen for the Bills since DF. He was unwatchable!!! I was thrilled when they cut him.
The QB position remains a huge question mark to this day. I have no idea what to expect this season. But I'm very nervous..........
