  1. The positives from this season:

    - We have a real defensive staff. This D could be something special if we get people healthy.

    - There are no glaring player needs on the defensive side of the ball.

    - Kiko may prove to be the steal of the draft.

    - The O-line is not far from being very solid. LG remains a question.

    - Woods looks to be the real deal as a WR. He needs more game time to mature. He looks to have potential as a very solid possession receiver.

    - Marrone looks to have a grip on the team. A lot will be said relative to how hard this team plays over the balance of the season.

There are things to build on for next year.

I agree, now all we need is a quarterback or for EJ to become one, he looked aweful yesterday as everybody knows...i hope he gets better week to week to week, that is all...Go Bills

PS Man Boooooooooooo el T Shirts are now on sale!

  2. With inept QB play and the team's inability to finish games . As I look at the rest of the schedule no game a gimme besides Jacksonville I hope I'm wrong and we upset some teams along the way and make it to 8-8

    Go Bills!!!!

I have no idea what how this team will finish. I"m hoping for a strong finish. I see this team being similar to the 49ers prior to them becoming good. If EJ turns out to the "The guy" we are finally going to make the playoffs....sad it couldn't happen this year...i blame the front office for having tuel on the team...

  3. Of course only my opinion but when the losing mentality and culture has mired this organization for so long that the rookies and really young players look to the veteran leadership for how to deal with losses. Earlier in the year you heard EJ say he's not used to losing. Well Freddy and Stevie and Kyle Williams and Eric wood have been through so much losing that they seem numb to it. I don't know how to fix it but if you think for one second that after that pick six that those vets fans and myself included didn't know....not just think but know this game was over your crazy. Its that cancer of losing that fear of here we go again that us Long time Bills fans know is surrounding this team. That cancer has to somehow be completely eradicated because if its not it will infect the new players and coaches and they too will accept losing and will be stuck in this forever.

The only thing wrong with this team is QB play, and the fact that our front office had Jeff Tuel as our back up/starting qb all year...this scares me, especially when they say things like "We will be a forward thinking team"...Really? A forward thinking team has an undrafted QB who has had ZERO college success on your team?

If Jeff Tuel is still on the roster next week I will lose it...again.

  4. While I am not one that wants to see Tuel play on Sunday, what strengths does he possess? He got signed onto an NFL roster for some reason so there must be SOMETHING that he is somewhat good at when it comes to the quarterback position.

He has the ability to look confused even on the sideline.

  5. @buffalobills

#Bills have hired a Director of Analytics, per @RussBrandon

Bills Hire Analytics Man: Russ Brandon announced on WGR this morning that the team has hired Mike Lyons to be the director of the new analytics departments. He is a Western New York native with 20 years of analytics experience at Xerox. He will be involved in the football department and everything that has a probability factor along with dealing with salary cap issues.

just win, don't really care how it happens

  6. P.S. I'm done responding to the negative feedback. Everyone has their own opinion. U never once heard me tell other people what they should or shouldn't do with their own child. Its their decision. I do TOTALLY APPRECIATE all the helpful members though who are supportive and trying to help make our experience great, YOU'RE AWESOME! Us three will see u at the Sabres and Bills this weekend!!! :) Hope the negative naysayers aren't sitting next to our brat! :)

I also hope i'm not sitting next to you also. Thanks for understanding!

  7. My $.02...it's incredibly inconsiderate to bring a child to any event attended by others (sporting event, movie, broadway show, etc.) until said child is old enough to understand what is going on and can appreciate the need to respect the rights of others to not be subjected to the crying, whining, and general unrest young children often exhibit. It's pure selfishness or laziness on the parents' part, because the kid certainly doesn't care one way or the other.

I also believe all airlines should designate the back few rows on aircraft for passengers traveling with small children.

+1, Laziness is the word I was looking for. thanks

  8. Flying with my wife and 1 year old son into Buffalo from Fairfax Virginia to catch a Sabres game on Nov 2, checking out Niagra Falls (American side) early morning of Nov 3rd, Bills game 1:00pm, leaving Buffalo early Monday morning. Will my son be free if he sits on our lap for both Sabres and Bills? First Home Bills game for my wife and son! First Home Sabres game for ALL 3 OF US! We're pumped! Prediction Bills 24 Chiefs 20 Sabres prediction - No comment. LOL We love WGR and just wish we could somehow meet Schopp and The Bulldog, Sal, John Murphy, or Chris Brown. They all do such a GREAT JOB covering our Beloved Buffalo Bills and love listening to them! Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Already got our Bills tickets 7th row from field but still searching Stub Hub for best seats in Lower Section and Best Price for Sabres-Anaheim game.

Why would you bring your 1 year old to a Bills game? Seriously.

Second question, if you're sitting next to a fan that drops an F bomb will you complain and ask them to watch their language?

Leave your kids at home!!!! The Ralph isn't Disney land.

  9. Just to piss off the angry english teachers. lose vs loose vs loss

Anyway, let's get real. This game is a Loose.

But we will loss by how many points?

I'm thinking we will loose by 17.

"Any given sunday" doesnt apply here.

    17-34 Saints

    What do you all think?

You're like my Dad, he's getting fragile in his older age so he prepares himself by already assuming they will lose.

I personally find it annoying when he does this so I usually never respond.

I know being a Bills fan is hard but why watch the games if you can't handle the outcome?

    Go Bills

    Bills 34

    Saints 33

  10. Like many others I’m sure, my father raised me as a Bills fan and it is one of the best things that has happened to me (besides the birth of my daughter and marrying my wife)

It is one of my fathers and mines closest bonds and still is to this day. Every day we talk about the Bills and what we think needs to be done with the team or the latest rumors we hear. I tell him that I get all my sources from this message board. You all are great. I rarely need to check Twitter or Google anything because I know that someone will have posted something on here first and it holds true 100% of the time. This board is truly amazing and I feel honored to be a member and fellow poster.

Looking back through all the years I have come to realize that many of many of my happiest memories come from the Bills. Especially going to the Ralph.

Being from Toronto and now living in Hamilton, we don’t get to experience the level of fun, excitement, and comradery that one experiences going to Bills games in Buffalo.

I always get to the stadium early around 9am, just to take everything in. I stop at the duty free where friendly nods are exchanged with other Canadians wearing Bills jersey’s and shakes of the head are exchanged at fellow stupid Canadians who are wearing the jersey of a team who isn’t even playing.

I pull in to the parking lot and as soon as I open my car door I am greeted with everything I have been looking forward to since I bought my tickets in the summer.

I see all my fellow Bills fans and just feel at home. I hear the sounds of chatter, laughter and sports radio talk as fans tailgate with their trunk open and the radio on. I get to see special moments happen in front of me such as a father tossing around the football with his son. I also am greeted with the wonderful smell of tailgating. Oh what a smell. It’s just too perfect. I always tell people who never have been to a Bills game in Buffalo that the game itself is just one part of the experience and that the hours before the game are just as special.

I have made the horrendous mistake of going to a Bills game in Toronto. After almost filing for bankruptcy(kidding) after paying the enormous ticket prices, the closest thing there was to tailgating was having a hot dog and a Coke outside of the Rogers Centre (yes us Canadians spell it Centre rather than Center lol)

I have been going to Bills games for the past 28 years and there has never been a time that I remember where I was made fun of for being Canadian. In fact, I sometimes get thanks for my countries strong beer lol

I just wanted to thank all of you for playing a part in some of my best memories and for being the main reason why Bills fans are among the most passionate and best fans in the world and for the great feeling that we are all part of one enormous family.

    From your Canadian Bills Fan

I thought my wife was emotional....geez

  11. Does anyone think the Bills will go 12-4? Or maybe 11-5? I think the Bills have a shot to go 11-5.

    LETS GO BUFFALO!

If we lose more then one game the rest of the season i will drive my truck off of a cliff and just end it.

    Go Bills,

    I love this team!

  12. No matter how you cut it, Spiller is under performing this year. Many factors play in here, in fact too many to list, some his fault, some not.

What are your feeling regarding his on field performance this year...

    A) physical set backs? or

    B) is the schemes and play calling holding him back?

    C) other

For me, personally it is B. We are running him like he is a "Freddy" or "Lynch" type back who can hit the hole, gain the extra yards, and potentially hit the homerun should a safety be out of place. What we need to do is create space for him to get outside, and utilize his speed, like he did last year. I don't think his ankle is a huge issue, especially if he is still splitting carries with Freddy.

I strongly feel that if we can fix the play calls when CJ is in, we can overcome the hurdle of a 3rd string QB, by pounding the rock with CJ/Freddy, and hitting short passes with Stevie/Woods/and most importantly Chandler.

    What say you?

I think he's played fine, this is the NFL, there aren't many RB's in the league TEARING IT UP!!!!

I do think they need to get him in space more often, if they can do that he'll do much better.

  13. Living here in Banjo land, I get to listen to sports talk every morning about teams I could care less about in all honesty, but it's better than nothing, so I tune in, really just to see what other sports radio shows sound like, compared to ours. So, short story long, the big topic as of late is how Chris Johnson has been struggling, and not able to break runs on the inside this year, and guess whose name came up in conversation? nope.... guess again... yes, they were talking about Andy Levitre, and they were not raving about the guy in any way. In fact, they feel like they may have overpaid for what is being perceived as middling talent. They were concerned about his run blocking mostly, and other names along the offensive line as well, it wasn't a Levitre bash fest, but I was surprised to hear that he wasn't the second coming of Jesus Christ in guard form. From all the comments around here, you's think we let the "all mighty" walk(on water to tennessee at that), and bashed the front office for doing so.

Maybe.... Juuuuuust maybe.... our front office was very smart in not over paying for a guard, even if we didn't have a better alternative to replace him. sometimes you have to let a guy walk, especially one who isn't blowing it up on his new team.

Take this for what it's worth, just thought it would be nice to show a different side to what was perceived as a mistake in not keeping a guy.

They should of signed him after his third year, not forth, the titans over payed. Lets not forget we re signed wood with that money we saved and he's a much more valuable to the bills.

  14. Ok, i will admit i try to read into things at times. I will make connections between one situation and another.

My one to think about is Jadeveon Clowney. His injury is one like the PF that Byrd has. Basically you have to wait till the player says he is good to go.

Here is where my conspiracy comes in, what IF Parker turns out to be Clowney's agent?? Coincidence??

Speculation is that Clowney is just trying to get through the season healthy so he can turn pro and make money. And yes he was teammates with Marcus Lattimore so he has seen first hand how an injury can change everything. If Clowney does not play another down but goes to the combine and kills it he will be a top 3 pick. Heck he may be already even if he passes on the combine. I respect Clowney's choice if he is sitting. This also fuels more fire to the pay college athletes discussion. South Carolina raised ticket prices on average of $6 a seat this year. Some say it was large in part due to Clowney.

What you guys think? Is my tinfoil helmet on to tight??

Nothing is impossible, i have to admit i think alot like you, i just wish i didn't because all it does is give me a headache..
