do you know who took the flag?  I know some friends of our from Niagara Falls.... some real good fellas if ya know what I mean.  They are happy to travel to San Fran

Appreciate the offer but I have a few friends out here that could be "helpful" if I chose to go that route. I know the offender however...Death or serious assault is not the option. :)

  2. Bills fans,

A patriots fan has stolen my Bills flag and replaced it with a patriots flag out here in San Francisco. I need to find good gifs/photos for my retaliation plan. Anyone have a gif of a Buffalo mounting the patriot mascot from behind? Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.

    Go Bills

  3. I am stoked to come in from San Francisco. I started a little tradition with my Dad to take him to the opener last year and hope to carry it on for quite a few more. He used to be a Buffalo cop and would take me to the games when I was little , while he worked security at the games. Now, 40 years later I can repay the favor. I think they have a legitimate shot at a playoff spot this year. it would be nice to be pleasantly surprised in 2014, wouldn't it?

    Happy Father's Day all!

  4. 1st rounder has to be a player who has a long term impact on the quality of your team and in any position outside QB, better be starting or playing a high % of snaps from day one. If you're first rounder isn't a starter on your team playing at a high level in season two, you blew it because there are plenty of 3rd and some fourth and fifth rounders who are doing that on other teams and could be doing it for you.

Now that being said, there are situations where you have to draft to a particular need, as the BBs did last year. They had to take the best QB available and get him at the most reasonable draft position. I applaud OBD for getting the QB they wanted and Kiko Alonso. Maybe "KneeJ" does't work out, but even if he washes out there is the chance that we get a stud linebacker in Buffalo for the next ten years, a guy who many GMs would probably take with a first round pick if they could do it over again… Just m2c….

  5. If Johnny football drops grab him, QB is that important, if you look at it this way by trading down to get EJ last year we in a since got him for free (Kiko would have been a great first round pick and Robert Wood was a great second round pick), with the rookie cap EJ is not a big cap hit either so lets not watch Manziel light it up for the next ten years and wonder why we didn't take him.

    Johnny football = Tim Tebow = ex-QB

  6. Many paths to the top of the mountain Bills fans, and lots of different ways to root for the home team. I like the song, lots of energy, brings Bills fan anthems into the 21st Century, but not enough to make it our official song.

That being said I do wish we had a new theme song for home games. Feels like a new era for the Bills: coach/front office feels different and more competent; new QB that we are hanging our hopes on; and soon to be new ownership. The last thing to shed is the 14 year playoff drought.

Hope springs eternal from the hearts of Bill's fans, only to be damned by the cautious pessimism of the mind.

  7. This is a no brainer. Proven talent for low cost/investment. Marrone is a discipline guy and the fact that he is willing to take Williams back bodes well. Give him a shot. If it works out we get a #1 receiver who fits our scheme relatively cheaply. If it doesn't work and and the knucklehead goes off the res. then at least you have put some competition in at the position and have a little more flexibility to take best player available at #9 or below if we trade down. Way to go, boys….

  8. So, I was thinking that EJ while showing glimpses of talent had been disappointing in some areas so far this year. This of course was a somewhat subjective response to his performance so far. I mean it's a team sport with lots of variables beyond the QBs control. So I pulled up another very good QBs stats for his first five games to compare. Here they are:

(From ?QB's first five games according to ESPN's player game log)

    Game 1 - loss - 21/37 302 yds 56.8 % 1 td 3 int 58.6 RAT

    Game 2 - loss - 21/33 188 yds 63.6 % 1 td 3 int 51.1 RAT

    Game 3 - loss - 20/44 193 yds 45.5% 0 td 2 int 39.3 RAT

    Game 4 - loss - 19/32 309 yds 59.4 % 1 td 3 int 63.2 RAT

    Game 5 - win - 12/23 137 yds 52.2 % 1 td 1 int 66.8 RAT

    Totals 1-4 - 93/169 1129 yds 55% 4 td 12 int 55.8 RAT

EJ's first five games according to ESPN's player game log)

    Game 1 - loss - 18/27 150 yds 66.7 % 2 td 0 int 105.5 RAT

    Game 2 - win - 27/39 296 yds 69.2 % 1 td 1 int 89.3 RAT

    Game 3 - loss - 19/42 243 yds 45.2% 1 td 0 int 71.8 RAT

    Game 4 - win - 10/22 167 yds 45.5 % 1 td 2 int 48.9 RAT

    Game 5 – loss - 11/20 129 yds 55.0 % 0 td 0 int 74.8 RAT

    Totals 2-3 - 85/150 985 yds 56.7% 5 td 3 int 79.4 RAT

Any guesses as to who ?QB is? I am not so disappointed anymore.....Good luck Thad...

  9. Regarding Kolb's ability to get the job done in B-lo, I think you have to go into it with an open mind. Whether he is rated number 30 or 10 is irrelevant since he and EJ are what we have to work with. Marrone and co. will decide who gives the team the best chance to win on day one. It should be pretty evident to them based on their training camp observations, and you go from there. Of course that calculus could change 3 weeks into the season but I trust the coaching staff to make a better decision about the starter than any of us armchair QBs/coaches... IMHO, I think Kolb may pleasantly surprise everyone and hold down the fort until EJ develops a little bit more.
