So....Derek Anderson? Ryan Mallet? COLIN KAP-ER-NICK? (I have no problem with that - except the spelling.)

Seems pretty last minute to be looking for O-line depth at final cut down?

I JUST BOUGHT A FREDDY JERSEY SATURDAY AT THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wear it with pride!!!!!!!

There is so much to be excited about heading into camp. I think Gilmore will be a star. He's already a borderline shutdown corner, he'll just get the recognition now.
I can't wait for camp to start so we know more about the QB situation.
Go Bills!
Astro's daily report hasn't had much praise for our number one corner so far.

Take a look at this 26-and-under list and tell me you're not impressed:
Luck
Stafford
Wilson
Newton
Foles
Bridgewater
Carr
Matt Simms
luck-probably good, Wilson-good, the rest are a bunch of not yets, maybes, and matt sims

What does this "death of the quarterback" thing -if true- tell us. Is there going to really be a new kind of NFL offense? Manuel and Taylor in the backfield at the same time to run, pitch, pass in assorted combinations? Wide open quadruple option offense? quadruple option with ground and pound to keep defenses from spreading too wide with too many db's? Athletic quarterbacks who mostly throw on the run who pitch to passing halfbacks? Terrible stats but with gigantic plays? Someone pass me the smelling salts my hearts all aflutter.......

Nice sales job. Don't really see why Titans would give him up even as a backup but I'd like the Bills to think about it seriously.

Oh Lord Will we ever have at least a pretty good quarterback again? Sorry....the Lamonica waste threw me off track.

Still on page 1 and it has already morphed into a Sully B word thread. Awesome.
Every one of us has had lots and lots of opinions/hunches/predictions about our team that were subsequently shown to be, uh, ill-advised. The Dareus column was one for sure.
I will even agree that sometimes these guys just say things to stir **** up. I bickered with Harrington about the Sabres all winter, because I thought he was just trolling fans who saw 30th place as the best way out of the Sabres' abyss.
I contend that if any of us had to publish opinions for living, we'd say all kinds of stuff that would be proven dumb or false, and that most of us (at least those with a sense of humor) might even "poke the bear" once in awhile.
But I give BN columnists the benefit of the doubt most of the time, because it is a fact that they see/hear more than we do. Their opinions mean more because they are based on more first-hand knowledge.
Besides, it's just sports. Why do I need to agree with a sports columnist all the time to like reading their stuff? Not pointing at anyone in particular here, but some people need to unwad their panties just a bit.
This comment smacks of an attempt to be realistic, reasonable, and maybe even a little wise. Watch it fella! We can't have that kind of nonsense on this board!

Ridiculous. If Whaley were to do this, or Ryan, .........please, no. And what the heck is all the negativity towards Freddie now? How much does a guy have to give and show every year before people stop with the "you're old and slow now so go home and, and thanks a lot, really, I mean it".........Is that what it is to be a Bills fan?

For those who think, as Lombardi once said himself, "winning isn't everything, it's the only thing", there are plenty of "people" out there who would take your favorite sport and destroy it. You think there's no line that can't be crossed if mafia and/or gamblers are involved? Like throwing the world series? Would you play to win if someone could threaten your family or friends? Is it okay to poison another team's water? Wear brass knuckles under a bandage? "People" can get very very creative when "winning is the only thing". And then "sport" doesn't exist at all anymore. Use your head. There's a reason why sports have rules and it's not so you can see who's clever enough to break them and win and get away with it.

So....can he play backup qb?........But seriously it seemed pretty weird and kind of desperate to me too.
