Watched the entire game in just one hour. I am not nearly as disappointed in a Bills loss when I don't invest a full 3 - 3 1/2 hours of a Sunday on them?

Ok, let's hear it...any recommendations for restaurants at Niagara on the Lake?
Some background...neither me nor my significant other has been to Niagara on the Lake. We are looking to go up there for an evening next week -- no overnight stay. The type of cuisine isn't all that important. Just looking for a good atmoshpere and great food.

In a related note...
Twister the movie really has really shown its age and reveals itself as downright awful. I remember when it first came out everyone was amazed by that darn flying cow. All the special effects kept everyone distracted from the poor plot/casting/acting in the movie overall. Now that those special effects look uber fake compared to what goes on in Hollywood today -- completely unwatchable.
The unitentional comedy scale is through the roof though. Anyone remember how the Helen Hunt and what's his name characters managed to stave off that final out-of-this-world powerful twister?

I believe that on this board there are many intelligent fans of sports. I believe there are even more intelligent human beings. I am so tired of the horse sh!@ that WGR makes it's fans go through.
Today, some older gentlemen from ohio calls in to tell Mike Schopp that there couldn't be a balk in little league baseball because players aren't allowed to lead off. I played little league and know that to be true. As you get older yes, but 10/11 year old kids can't steal bases.
Schopp disagrees and basically hangs up on the guy. He was an older guy just calling to talk sports and the arrogant d!C#@ead Schopp treats him like a piece of garbage. I think that's just wrong. I think it was the biggest hunk of crap I've ever heard on the radio.
I seriously wanted to slap him. Couple this with the rumors they create with Bills players and their bad working relationship with the Bills and there you have a recipe for the worst sports talk radio show in the world. Yet, if you are a sports fan in Buffalo what are your alternatives to listen to Sports talk.
WNSA was my favorite by far. They were informative and they took the time to reflect on the fans opinions. These clowns are just rude inconsiderate pricks.
So, what would I have to do to start a 5 hour show in buffalo on an existing radio station or create my own station? How expensive would it be and who's with me?
I'm dead serious. Being a part of the media isn't what I want and I don't want to be on the air, I just want serious sports talk for the serious fans with out the garbage that WGR puts us through.
What do you guys think?

I think this is going to be my project away from the bong. I'm 100% serious and willing to spend some money to do it, so seriously I would love any information you might have.

FWIW -- I played Little League and leading off and stealing was allowed for us in the 10-12yrs division for awhile, and then it was removed. I played in the East Lovejoy league where the coaches pretty much had discretion on what the rules would be.
With that said, allowing leading off/stealing at that age is dumb. Ever see a pitcher try to pick someone off at that age? It was an accomplishment to just have a pitcher get the ball over the plate, let alone have the catcher catch it and make that farrrrr throw to second base.
It worked out well for me though as I was always one of the faster kids. Any single would soon be turned into a triple a few pitches later. Ricky Henderson couldn't hold a match to me I was so prolific. Unfortunately each team had 3 guys like that too -- which is why it was a dumb rule.
Balks were called though!

No one is piling on the designers, the person calling the shots is exactly who is ultimately responsible. I am not sure who pulled the trigger here, but it might just have been Sabretooth...
Seriously -- I am not sure it was the intention but the site has more appeal to kids 12 and under than someone who will actually buy tickets. It's more gimmicky than functional. A better strategy would have been to design for the average fan. The use of Flash is overkill. Check that, it's utterly unnecessary. I couldn't imagine how long that site will load over dial-up -- I would want to know how many Sabres fans use broadband, something the marketing folks should have found out. My guess is that the number wouldn't justify designing for it almost exclusively. Hey, this is a blue collar town after all
Then there is the issue with the small fixed-size of the site. I have a 17" monitor -- I have more screen size dedicated to the background image than the content. It's annoying as hell.
I am also very sorry for the site's content creators as well -- Flash means that Google and other search engines can't index their site content for search. That means all that great content will stay buried on the site. Oh, I know, let's build a site with content no one can find!

Must have Flash to view...party like it's 1999? It's down right laughable in Firefox where I do not have Flash installed to avoid the annoying web ads. I switched to IE to check it out. I am speechless.
Here's hope there is some momentum to move to updated Blue/Gold unis forcing this into redesign so that I can expunge this from my memory forever. Ack!

Indeed. Modest Mouse has simply been the best band I have had the pleasure to discover over the past 5 years. They bring it all together-- music, lyrics and that something extra you can't explain. That band doesn't owe me a thing.
I am sure the snide comment above was made by someone who has probably heard what, one or two songs of the eighty or so they have recorded?

I am a big fan of both of Ben's bands. DCFC was a great show at Nietsche's last April.
The song Such Great Heights from the Postal Service album has become a cult classic. There had been at least two recorded covers of that song within 6 months of its release which is unheard of. (Iron & Wine's version made it into the Garden State movie.) Plus I was there when the Dismemberment Plan played a version of the song live in their last show in Buffalo which was a performance that I'll never forget it.
I don't think people realize that there is a stunning amount of great modern music being created that doesn't make it on the (crappy) radio...

I said it....I have to stick by it.....
I was all for a move to take Teague out and insert Tucker into the center position......I thought he did very well when called upon last week....but this week will see if my theory is correct......
Even as well as Tre has played I still see room for improvement (especially in run blocking) in the middle of this line......
To me it looks like our backs have to run at the "edges" of the D Line in order to get anything going.......my theory of Tucker being a bigger, heavier, nastier player but smart I thought would make him ideal for the position.....
Tucker has the tools to handle the monsters that hang out in the middle nowadays.......but I guess we will find out on Sunday.....
