That would be sweet, and it would give you guys a home playoff game. I will warn you, the Titans are better now than when we met earlier in the season.

The Buffalo Bills play host to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday in yet another matchup that looks daunting for Buffalo. Of the Bills’ first five opponents, only the Minnesota Vikings (2-2) are not above .500 currently.

If the Bills are going to pull off an upset victory this Sunday, they will need to control Tennessee’s key players throughout the matchup, something they were unable to do last week when the Green Bay Packers dismantled them at Lambeau Field. The Titans have a solid young core of skill players that will present unique challenges for the Bills’ defense.

Here are the five Titans players we’ll be watching this weekend.

You guys have always done well against the Bills.  We only have 2 wins against the Titans since the Music City Miracle. The 2006 and 2012 losses really stand out as heartbreakers from my point of view.

Id wish you luck but I wanna win!

I was at that 2012 game.

I live much closer to Buffalo than I do Nashville and usually go to see the Titans play in Buffalo. Most of my friends are Bills fans too.  But it is Thanksgiving this weekend, worst weekend for the Titans to come to Buffalo.  I actually follow the Bills pretty closely and have listened to AM 550 off and on for years. Generally I cheer for the Bills if they are not playing the Titans.

Before you ask -- I actually grew up in Lions' territory. But became a Houston Oilers fans because of, CFL hero,  Warren Moon. Then followed the team when they moved to Tennessee.

Blitz Allen early and Often. He is having trouble reading it. Play Man against our WRs.

Depends what defense you are going to see. I expect the good defense being home but I expect Mariota to gash them with his legs.

I imagine the Titans will blitz a ton. They used the same strategy against the Houston Cows who also have a poor OL and inexperienced QB.

You guys have a good secondary which worries me as Mariota is still prone to some bad INTs.

Mariota is a funny runner. He has poor lateral movement but is very fast. he also reads run opportunities well which is what makes him dangerous.

In the end, i actually expect a low scoring game.

They put a lot of pressure on Wentz throughout the game.  It seemed to me the Eagles did a poor job identifying where the heat was coming from.

The new DC has done a good job keeping opposing offenses on their toes, so far. He used a lot of small formations against the Eagles. And was blitzing CBs and ILBs at times.

This must be the plan in Buffalo, set the bar so low, that scoring any points at all = winning.

    Landry was a steal.

What I want to know is why your run game has been so bad. I drafted Henry in fantasy because I was expecting the OL to be a top unit and Henry was finally gonna get his chance to be feature back. Is it more on Henry or the OL? I know Philly and Jax are stout D's but it seems like they can't even break one good run.

Henry is a funny RB and will likely never be consistent. He is built like a power back but runs like stand up speed back.

First three games of the year the pass game was not existent so teams just keyed on the run. The Texans game we were without Mariota and our top 3 offensive tackles. that hurt bad. This last game was the first time the Titans had a healthy, competent QB.

Cory Davis, 2017 5th overall pick, is a guy you need to look out for.

    It was a forward lateral.

    Someone had to say it.

  7. We at https://gotitans.com/ like to visit the forums of teams we play each week.

Here is how our season has gone this year:

    • We lost the game we were supposed to win then won the games we were supposed to lose
    • Major injury issues early in the year. Our top 4 offensive players (in order -- Delainie Walker, Taylor Lewan, Jack Conklin and Marcus Mariota) missed significant time. All but Walker are back and healthy now though
    • Run game has been trash
    • WRs pretty good though there have been some bad drops and the number 1 WR the previous 2 years up and quit on the team
    • Pass rush is strong, we were able to put a lot of pressure on Carson Wentz, even with their good OL.  Rookie Harold Landry is doing well rushing the passer
    • Secondary is hit and miss. We had another injury at SS. High priced FA Malcolm Butler has a habit of following up a big a big play by giving up a big play
    • Run defense could be better. First round rookie Rashaan Evans has barely played and missed all of TC
    • New coaching staff appears to be light years ahead of the old Mike Mularkey staff

My prediction is a defensive battle between the Bills and Titans. Which is how all our games have gone this year.

  8. It is easy to get excited about a QB after a few games. We have seen this many times over, a young QB looks like a future superstar only to turn into a dud once opposing teams get film on him. Allen still has a very flawed game. How he improves will make the difference. And we have seen before that piss poor accuracy is hard to improve.

Remember, the NFL is a grinder

In my opinion  the Bills need a sure handed receiver that Allen trusts with his fastballs.

Solution: Sign Tanner Gentry off the Bears practice squad. The guy isn’t blazing fast but catches everything.  I call him a taller Wes Welker. Josh Allen and Tanner Gentry spent their summers together in Laramie running routes and playing catch on a daily basis.  They have an amazing rapport.  Gentry rarely (if ever) dropped an on target Allen pass.

Bills should act quickly.  Anthony Miller was hurt today for the Bears and Gentry is a possible signee to the active roster.
