  1. The words loose and lose are mixed up in writing; for some reason, many people write loose when they really mean lose. But there's no reason to lose your mind worrying about this, just lose the extra o!

Is the correct word lose or loose? You guys are confusing...

  2. I heard on WGR550 this morning that a win vs. a loss next week may be the difference between the 3rd and 13th pick.

Very significant. I know we are not supposed to want to loose, but in this case is it really worth winning a meaningless game.

Unfortuantely, it is against the Jets who may be in worse shape than us.

  3. Yeah, listening to him this morning was painful. It's his job to spin things positively, but he came across to me like he was saying: "Listen, Bills fans are always going to buy tickets. No matter what we decide to do, you shmucks are still coming in. So I don't care what you say, we're staying the course".

I, honestly, fear that they think they've already hit rock bottom. That the fans that are still sticking around are going to stick around no matter what. So as long as they're profitable (and they are), they're successful in his eyes.

I'll give them the chance to right things at the end of the season. But i'm growing less and less a fan of the man.

Exatly my perception of what he said
  4. He was recently quoted as saying -“That’s personal and I have not discussed that with anybody and I probably won’t ever,” Mularkey said. “I’ll say this, family was very much a part of it and I just felt like I made the right decision then and I still do now. Nothing’s personal, please don’t make it out to be that way because it’s not. I’ve never said I regret it, I felt it was the right decision then, I still do, and again it has a lot to do with my family and my family will always come first in my profession, in my life, in anything I do, and I’ll leave it at that.” Does anyone know whatthis all means ?

  5. Howard does and has lurked this board for some time. One of YE OLE's favorite anecdotes traces origin back about 10 years ago to THE SIMONCAST. Tom Galley was Howard's producer back in those days and YE OLE decided to pay homage to the man behind the scenes by affectionately referring to him as "Back Alley Galley" and making it a point to mention him early and often in all of YE's posts.

So, mid afternoon rolls around one day, and YE OLE is tuned to Empire (Channel 626 for those of us on DirecTV in those days), and Ricky Jay comes on to give scores/updates leading into a break. Much to YE OLE's delight, Ricky Jay and Howard get into a little conversation where Ricky responds "I don't know, you'll have to ask old 'Back Alley Galley' over there." Naturally, YE OLE had to follow up on this and emailed the show requesting the back story on this "Back Alley Galley" and asking if he was perhaps a "bar room brawler" in a past life.

The next segment, Howard read the email and asked Ricky Jay about the origins of all of this nonsense. Ricky Jay explained that it came from some knucklehead at Two Bills Drive and he thought it was hillarious, and had to bring it to the air. That knucklehead of course was yours truly. The moment was surreal, as from that day forward, YE OLE had to embrace the fact that important people in the Buffalo sports scene read what the good folks of this forum have to say.

I remember the Empire sprts Network on Dircet TV. I loved it. What happened to that station that it went off the air ?
  6. Yes, I am all in for Fitz after the last few games... just hope he can keep it up and also I bought his jersey this year

All QB's are off target once in a while. I think also that we need to develop a young stud now to take over fro Fitz.

Defense is defintely the problem. We need linebackers big time.

  7. I watched some of Julius Peppers last night. Wow. That defense is fast. They make Buffalo look like they are running half speed. Then again, almost any defense make them look that way.

Right ! It is all about attitude. You lookl at the Chicago D and you can just see the difference in the attitude of the players. And if attitude seems to be the issue, why is Wannstead 200 yards away up in the booth ? he should be down on the field in these players faces !
