  1. QG - smartest position on the field, and you want to draft a QB that knew he was a full boat scholarship and might actually need a job after the NFL, and then participated in selling stuff, that he was not smart enough to know the rules.

  2. Not fair to compare Fitz to Kelly, but I am comparing him to Kemp, Fergy & Fluti (2, 3, & 4 Bills QB). No he does not have a great gifted natural skill - he usually plays smart. His leadership and strive mentality is the asset that drives him. Mobilty is on par with Kemp, greater than Fergy, much less than Fluti and greater then Kelly. His arm and accuracy is even with Kemp, Less than Fergy, Much Less than Kelly and about even with Fluti, though Fluti scamble and dump was better.

Reading a D lineup, better than Kemp and Fergy, less than Fluti and Kelly. But I look at what he did late in the season with Nelson, Roosevelt, and Jones - very short in their careers and he adapted well to an ever changing WR lineup. If Easley pans out, we have a very young WR Set, toss in Evans and Parrish - we have a very good WR corps along with Jackson and some Spiller out of the backfield dumps and shuffles. If the O Line can stabilize 20% better than last year, I would anticipate Fitz with a QB rating in mid to high 80's and would be very happy.

I am very happy with the draft, and think Buddy/Chan are starting to get the wheels on the correct track, I am happty to have Fitz start the season as the starting QB, considering he did not get much 1st team snaps in pre-season last year and thrusted into a starters role - he did well.

I am pisssed about the lock-out as much as everyone, I was looking forward to Fitz working with this young WR group going into the season to see what would happen.

I give Fitz starting QB a huge thumbs up, to me he is a leader and I cheer him on....GO FITZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Exactly. And that's why I can't figure out why people knock Andre Reed for getting pissed off and spiking his helmet against the Redskins and use that against him come HoF voting time, yet nobody really talks about Thurman in the Superbowl.

That year less than 50% of the field goal attempts of 47 yards or greater were converted for 3 points. The play (lack of)of the game was Ingrams reception and yards after catch producing a first down on a touchdown drive. The fact that he was touched by 6 Bills before being brought down is what lost Super Bowl 25

  4. Since before the draft, I had hoped the Bills would have drafted Dan Lefevor out of Central Michigan, I moved back to WNY in Jan 2010, I have lived 10 miles from CMU campus and watched Lefevor quite a bit. Just a thought, but situational insertion, wildcat formation with Lefevor and 2 or all 3 of our running backs. I feel Brohm could be elevated to #2.

  5. If AS returns next year, leave him on the DL. Maybin may pan out for an a situational OLB. Poz Stays, but I really hope that John D. returns and calls the signals. Ellison will be better suited for a 3-4, Mitchel would be a good starter at OLB. But we do need to draft some LB depth.Going to a 3-4 also opens up the possiblity of Scott staying at OLB, and I like the way he hits

  6. I would bet, that the Bills would be very lucky to be offered a 3rd round pick, between poor production and off-field problems. Lynch is not quick or elusive enough to be utilized as a returner. A previous post recommends utilizing him as a fullback - and that maybe the best option.

  7. dear cow her,

u suck sir. i dont even know how to spell your name, thats how bad u are. u are a female cow.

15 seasons, 1 superbowl. i bet if i coached any team for as long as you had the steelers, i would have more superbowls than you.

did u have your players smoke before big games, because for a long time, THEY CHOCKED!

I GUARANTEE U COULDNT TURN THIS TEAM AROUND.

right now u are heading towards the hall of fame.

dont take the bills job unless you're ready for the hall of lame.

remember: THERE IS NOTHING U CAN DO. U WILL NEVER TURN THE BILLS INTO A WINNING OPERATION. SO DONT TRY IT.

    :D

marv levy is king here. dont touch his turf.

There are times that someone should be shot to put them out of their misery, the person who posted this topic is one of those rare circumstances

  8. Bruce Smith - best Bill during the glory days

OJ - Probably the best Bill. The 2nd best RB of all time. Due to his post football activities this is not the most politically

correct answer. He was the most spectacular Bill and for the majority of the 70's was the only Bill worth watching.

Eric Moulds - If he only had a quarterback to throw to him. Though the numbers don't support it I think he is arguably the

most talented Bills receiver of all time.

Thurman Thomas - Could do it all.

Jim Kelly - Never got the publicity that Elway or Marino got. All he did was kick everyones butt with regularity.

Cornelius Bennett - We didn't become a winner until he came.

Andre Reed, Cornelius Bennett, and Steve Tasker should be HOF bound in my opinion.

OJ is not the 2nd best of all time, Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Marcus Allen, Emmit Smith, Barry Sanders all rate above OJ, OJ could not/would not block and really was not a good reciever

  9. QB - Bhrom

    RB - Jackson

    FB - FA Signing

    WR - Evans

WR - Hardy (Unless they resign TO)]

    Slot Reciever - Reed

    Center -Hangartner

    LT - 1st Round Pick

    RT - Bell

    LG- Levitre

RG- FA Signing (Wood if he returns which I doubt - 305 pounders do not recover this injury like db or wr)

    TE - Nelson

    DT - Stroud

    DT - Williams

    DE - Schoble

    DE - Kelsey

    MLB - Poz

    WLB - Scott

SLB - FA Signing or 2nd Round Pick

    CB- McGee

    CB - McKelvin

SS - Wilson - He makes plays

    FS -Byrd

Nickle - Florance or Corner - the other one is released

I actually hope the BB go to a 3 - 4 on D,Move Maybin to OLB (Utilized like Paup), Hope John DiG returns to ILB (And call the D Signals - he is smarter than Poz) and pick up 2-3LB via draft and FA. The 3-4 defence in our divison has kicked our ass - join the crowd management

I envison Donte being traded or released, Lynch being traded for a 3rd (Off Field changes it down from a 2nd) The BB draft LeFevour in late 2nd early 3rd and groom him) I really like Lefevour - but I am prejudice, I live 15 miles from CMU(But am moving back to WNY after being gone for 29 yrs)

The BB are a young team, with many injuries hurting the depth, they truly need a good strength/conditioning trainer

Fitz will be back as a back up

Spencer Johnson gets resigned (Unless they change to 3-4), McCargo is not tendered, Ellis stays as a back up, Langston stays as a backup at nickle, Welding Goes

Chris Draft Stays as a back up

    Moorman and Lindel both stay

    Stuper stays

    Fine is a huge ?

    Ellison if recoved stays

  10. All good points; however, credibility got blown out of the water when he/she said "DL looks fine...?"

Let me re-phase, DL looks better than many positions, with as weak as the BB are at LB, and the amount of injuries in the secondary, and of course some of the DL injuries and missed games. The DL has played relatively well with all the circumstances, a lot of the yards given up rushing are due to the weakness at LB. The DL has helped create the interceptions, so I hope the BB do not use a 1st or 2nd on DL.

I would also like to see them switch to a 3 - 4, but of course that means even more quality LB needed, If John D. comes back healthy as well as Kieth Ellison, and switch Maybin to outside LB..then our depth at DL is good.

  11. I live 15 miles from Central Michigan University (and will be moving to Rochester NY in Jan.), so I have had a lot of exposure to LeFevour. The kid is a great athelete, but he would be a 2-3 yr project to start in the NFL. Do the Bills have 2 or 3 yrs to groom him? No not really - but it would be a well invested very late 2nd or early 3rd round pick.

I also lived in outside Louisville KY from 2002 to 2004 and had exposure to Brhom, and I think he should be given some game experience now, and see how he can handle defences of teams fighting for a playoff spot.

TE and RF are not the answer for QB, I would feel even better if they resigned JP.

The Bills have an awful lot of holes to fill in the coming season, and if new management/coaching is willing to spend 2 years building the team, then Lefevour/Brohm is a good start at QB, and possibly focus on OL. Nelson appears to be a good fit at tight end, I think Harvey and Johnson are potentially a good recieving tandem with Reed and Evans. Lynch should go for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. LB needs much more depth, the secondary and DL look fine.
