  1. Actually, I am in the medical field. Your welcome and as they say ignorance is bliss.

More muscle mass mass equates to greater bone density. And your welcome I am in the medical field. As they say ignorance is bliss looks like you fit the criteria.

You may be in the medical field, but just because I drive a car doesn't make me a race car driver. If you were a doctor, your training would teach you a little about physics. Once again, the way the very large Steeler landed on the prone receiver would allow you to realize that bone density wouldn't have mattered if you had any medical training.

  2. The criticism here is ridiculous...It would be one thing if this were a hamstring injury or something to do with conditioning. The man broke his rib. As was noted earlier, what would more muscle have done with protecting him from broken ribs? Did you see the way the one Steelers defenseman jumped on him when he was already tackled. It was a cheap shot with an intent to injure.

As another person posted, have you noticed that 5 of our top receivers and 4 of our top running backs are sidelined? Is McKelvin not properly conditioned either? How about Gilmore? How about Kiko last year? Was Jarius Byrd not properly conditioned over the last several years? Is it because they weren't devoting the proper amount of time to football per your standards?

I have read that Goodwin has had a good camp and was in position for a spot. If he wasn't putting the proper time to football, do you think he would even be in the competition for a spot with our deep wideout situation?

    Thanks for the laugh!

  3. Argue all you want, but the Bills made a very fair and lucrative offer to Byrd. If you don't want to know about this because it hurts your agrument, I understand. There is this thing called google, search for it. The reports are out there and Byrd's camp isn't denying it. Reports are that he would have been the highest paid safety for at least the first 3 years. The Bills don't reveal the specifics of actual contracts so what makes you think they are going to release the specifics of an offer?

I know some of you don't want to believe this, but Byrd did not want to be here. The Bills were smart in not offering any more to a safety who at best was injured a large chunk of last year or at worst faked an injury so he didn't have to play. Either way, Good Riddance! If you are a Bills fan, you need to let go of your Man Crush on Byrd! He is gone......he is gone.......

  4. Brady Quinn would have been much better and Quinn stinks. Dixon or Batch would have been better. David Carr. Actually, pretty much anyone available would have been better. The above four, and probably four more, would have been obviously better. I never thought Trent Edwards was any good and he would have been much, much better.

They may have been better, but we would have lost every game with every one of these guys as well...so the end result is unchanged.

  5. For anyone that says that was a poorly thrown ball, the ball hit him in the hands in the direction he was going. He actually caught the ball for a second and then dropped it. He came up like a chump...like he has so many times before. As some other have pointed out, look across the field and see what the NE receivers were doing to keep drives alive. It just makes you shake your head!

  6. Isn't Probable just about the highest he can be listed when on the injury report? He isn't Questionable, Doubtful, or Out. I'm pretty sure that it is a requirement and they don't have a "Hell Yes He's Playing" option to check.

    ^ This

Seriously, with all the S!@* to complain about with this organization, we chose this! I wish I had the time some of you guys obiously have. Even when OBD does everything per league guidelines, you B word...smh...

  7. SJ and Chandler weren't playing on offense either

    This ^

Seriously, are you really going to argue starters vs. non-starters in a pre-season exhibition? Offense didn't have the above mentioned players. Defense didn't play McKelvin or Byrd (who will most likely be there at the beginning of the season). I am sure the Colts probably didn't have all their starters in on Offense and Defense either.

Based on score, Luck and the Colts players on the field were unsuccessful. Based on statistics, they were more successful. Read into it what you want....but if you want to be pessimistic because the Colts players on the field with Luck were statistically better against a defense which probably wasn't running its full scheme and may have been experimenting, then go crazy!

I don't think you can read too deep into the particular units in preseason as you aren't going to have all your players in and generally the units will be more vanilla. I think you need to look at the individual accomplishments during these games and I think we have a lot of reason to be optimistic.

  8. your getting off topic. I'm talking about the bills and how they are moving backwards. sorry if you don't comprehend.

I believe I comprehend fully. You know little about football, not much about the Titans, and less about the Bills. Your team overpaid for Levitre and signed an average at best safety and a backup QB to back up the backup QB that you have starting.

Sounds like the Bills and Titans have a lot in common, not just record!

  9. you now have the worst team in the nfl. kevin kolb bahahahahahahahha and now mix that with a porous offensive line. no passing game and no running game. this team wont win 2 games next year. :D

i would just fire the head coach already

Obviously this troll doesn't follow much football with his comments on our offensive line and running game. As much as I am not thrilled by the signing of Kolb, we do know this guy isn't worse than Fitzpatrick. If this loser is hoping that Fitzpatrick is getting the Titans to the playoffs with that surrounding cast, he is in for a huge disappointment. After Fitzpatrick throws a couple grounders to wide open receivers we will see who is laughing. If I wanted to compare quality of teams, I wouldn't set the bar so low to allow the Titans in the conversation.

  10. What all you Fitz haters don't get is that Nix, Gailey and the cast of buffoons running the team in 2010 clearly didn't know the difference between Brian Brohn -Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Gailey stated that all three were about equal and then chose Trent Edwards as his starter in training camp. Gave all the pre season first sting reps to a guy he would end up cutting after two weeks into the regular season.

Then Buddy Nix has made it clear the ONLY way he is drafting a QB is if one falls to him in the draft. He would have taken Cam Newton if he had been available in 2011. Nix didn't try and trade up for RG3 or Andrew luck, and for that matter didn't even try for Peyton Manning as a free agent. Buddy Nix had his chance to take Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, and yet all 3 were QB's who took their teams to the playoffs this year. Kaepernick is with a team going to the super bowl!

Why Buddy Nix is still employed with the Buffalo Bills is beyond me! Who is this brilliant talent evaluator on the Bills scouting staff who is supposedly now good enough to find that elusive "elite" franchise type QB?

I sure as hell hope Doug Marrone knows how to evaluate a QB because Nix and his staff clearly don't.

Let us all pray it is Doug Whaley!

  11. I don't think he was worse. Interceptions were down. Sideline under throws seemed less abundant. Overthrows seemed more likely. Besides, I am talking QB guru here. Watching film, critiquing practices, building confidence, teaching the reads, talking to the media, whatever it takes to make him an effective pro.

Don't think Ben was playing his best football very often this year.

Let me restate it this way. Marrone made it a priority to have a DC with a successful NFL pedigree. I think this was smart thinking. I'd have thought the same if he made a it similar prerequisite for his QB COACH, not necessarily the OC. QB play and the defense were the biggest weaknesses (defense way more so, IMO) and bringing in guys with a successful NFL pedigree in both these areas would have been a wise thing to do. Maybe Hackett can wear both those hats but doing both those jobs at the NFL level for the first time might be too much to ask.

David Lee WAS considered to be a QB guru.

Forget a QB coach for now! Let's get a QB...a winning QB who has arm strength and can accurately throw the ball. I am sick of it being thrown off the turf when the guy is wide open.

  12. I just ask to all that are criticizing the ST hire and any of the other assistants to please give me the alternatives. I will not praise the hires and be blindly pro Buffalo, but before I criticize I would like some supporting evidence that these were bad hires and there were better alternatives. Since Jerry Sullivan can't give do his job and provide any supporting evidence that there were better alternatives, maybe one of you can help me out. I am beginning to doubt that any one of you can do this.

  13. One other point that I would like to make is that look at the Ravens win...punt return and a kick return for TD...What was the result? ST can make a difference, but QB is the real difference. Hate to tell you guys that this is a lot simpler than what you guys are probably willing to admit. It's not your ST coach, it's not your assistant coaches... Get the right QB and a lot of our problems go away. As much as I like Buddy, he has missed on several QBs. Pray that he gets it right now!

  14. Pointing out the fact that Crossman has presided over horrible special teams 5 out of the last 8 years is not blind criticism. It only comes off as such when you are trying to JUSTIFY the hiring. Comparing Crossman to April. Convenient. And also a JUSTIFICATION.

    Carry on.

I am fair with the criticisms as long as someone can give me the alternatives. Marrone did say he wanted coaches with NFL experience, but what I remember is that he also followed that up with that he wanted coaches that wanted to be here. With the criticisms running rampant or all the "facts" being laid out there, please tell me who the alternatives for ST coaches that the BIlls had? OC? Any of the other assistant coaches that are being criticized? If Sullivan were a true professional, he would at least provide who the alternatives were. He is a lazy journalist and most of his opinions show that.

Which coaches were willing to come to Buffalo? Did any of you think that maybe the top ST coordinators were planning on sticking with the teams they are having success with? I am not as saavy as some of you, but for comparison purposes what are the rankings of ST for the teams in the Championship games?
