For a guy who hasn't had more than 14 sacks in a year, it's way overpaying. Sure he was on-pace for 16 last year, but that highlights the problems he's had staying healthy the past couple years. Again I'd turn my attention towards Wimbley.
they need to keep going after williams he is 10 times better than wimbley. wimbley has spent most of his career in a 3-4 and has mainly been an outside linebacker. before last year williams was in a 4-3 and that means he is the best fit. they have the money to spend and they should spend it. they should also go after mike wallace he is better that mario manningham and has been the #1 receiver in Pittsburgh the past two year. he doesnt have height but he has speed and we need that more than anything.

there are others out there plus this is a good draft for recivers. Mike Wallace would be a very good fit for us.

Not saying Meachem is necessary, but really? Bills fly him in like that (they sent coaches to pick him up!) only to have him sign with another team while in Buffalo. Thats brutal.
EDIT: And to bring him to dinner with Mario as to give off the idea to the fans that they were a package deal? To me, that type of mismanagement and blown PR make everything a little more shaky. How can you be that dumb?
he would have been nice because he is a big reciever but it is ok because mike wallace is still out there and if we dont get him for some reason and the rams dont take justin blackmon for some reason then he is right there for us at #10

Does anyone else think that Mario Williams is going to be overpaid to whoever signs him? I went back and looked at his two best seasons (over 10 sacks) and those were way back in '07 and '08.
Is Williams worth 14 million a year? I'm not so sure about that.
yes he is. he was having a pro bowl season before he got hurt last year. he had 5 sacks in 5 games and that is pretty damn good. he is a beast and the bills need all they help they can get with a pass rush. they also need to take the DE from north carolina in the draft with the 10th pick and that will make the d-line solid for the next couple of years.

williams is a big time free agent so he probably wont sign right away until he meets with all his potential teams that want him and meechum has a good chance of signing within a day or two but he is also somewhat of a big free agent and im sure he wants to meet with other teams also. im hoping they will sign both but dont be mad if they dont get williams. better chance of only getting meechum.

they need to take the tackle from standford if he is still there or even matt kahil if he is still there for some reason. i dont think bell is going to come back and harriston did decent last year but the bills need a sure thing at left tackle and that is one position that hurt them last year. levitrie is more of a guard so he cant really move out, only if there are injuries he should move out there other than that him and wood will lock down the middle of the o-line and we got a decent right tackle now all they need to do is sure up that left tackle spot and the o-line will be fine. if it comes down to it they need to take quition coaples from north carolina.
