  1. You bring in competition..... Unless you have a Brady, Rogers, Manning, you have competition and whoever is better wins, and with TT running we all know he is going to get hurt. I'm not sure he will ever develop into a top 10 qb either, however has been an improvement and surprise.

  2. Beat the Jets to start with. Then fix the issues with the coaching staff, since Rex it staying, trim back his control and bring in a defensive coach to run the defense. Draft smart (don't reach or think you are out smarting everybody). Might be time to look over the whole scouting department. Then do a complete look over the roster and see who fits for the personnel that is needed, plus there salary, age, and production. I know it is hard at time to let players that become liked, example Fred Jackson, however I would much rather the running back Williams and the new find, over Jackson and Boobie Dixon moving forward (not to take away for Jackson very good person and teammate, so players like Kyle Williams, Mario Williams, Mckelvin, and others with high contracts and age should be looked at.

  3. Oh please stop. Belichick and all of his coaches are nothing without Brady. Seattle's defensive secondary was a MASH unit. And it still took a dumb call for the Patriots to win. The only thing Belichick did was recognize the greatness of Brady after waiting five rounds to pick him and have the guts to keep Bledsoe on the bench.

I agree, like most good coaches, they benefit from have a great quarterback. He does have a good system and is total control, something Bills lack now.

  4.

Looking at numbers... probably not. They'll probably both be there in the end. No one actually plays in these things anymore.

I agree with you. And those chosen usually are media driven. Then once a player makes the pro bowl, they all of a sudden up there contracts. There are times at players stats look much different due to the system they play in, and what they are asked to do, not actually how good they are.

  5. Part of it is the drop off of the press and taking up blockers by the defensive line this year, and Rex Ryan and Thurman. He hasn't played his best football this year, neither has Bradford. They are not only missing tackles, and getting blocked out of the holes, they don't seem to create turnovers.....

  6. Is it time to completely open up the playbook and see what Tyrod Taylor can do? In today's nfl you have to be able to pass the football. The run heavy offenses, can and will only win around 50% of the game, without a solid to great defense. I think it is time to let Tyrod throw it around 35 to 40 times for the rest of the season, and see what he can do. Because there will be times to win a game it will take as many as 40 to 50 passes. I know that to win in December teams need to be able to run the football due to weather, however what about the the games prior to December. I'm not saying don't run it at all, you have to, but for the rest of this year open it up.

  7. Two main numbers that mean really anything to me 1) 15 yr playoff drought and 2) record, and 5-6 not getting it done. The others stats are just that stats.... Another number that i see, is the $100 plus contract that was given for MD and he seems to be following in another players, who got a crazy contract, name Heynesworth..... To follow that up wtih the crazy contract that was issued for "let me see how many personal fouls and offside flags i can get" Hughes....

  8. if they draft well enough and keep their coaching staffs and schemes stable, they don't need to acquire expensive FAs every year to build the team. Lower tier FAs that provide solid depth at a manageable price tag are usually more valuable IMO. Core starters should be drafted and developed, IMO. If you keep changing schemes and philosophies on either side of the ball (or both) every year or two you are stuck having to hand out big contracts so you can effectively and quickly change schemes. The Bills already said they are not going to be players in FA this year, and are focusing on Re-signing their own guys and acquiring new talent in the draft.

I would have to say you are right,

  9. While not perfect or elite - we are drafting, trading, and paying players better these past few years than we have the 10-15 years prior. I think this is mostly due to Whaley.

I think our problems this year are coaching related, not the gm. We have a talented roster, that is because of Whaley.

Signs saying to fire him wouldn't fix the way this team is playing.

They have. I will say they have on a few occasions, however I also think we might be over paying, like Jerry, get me jump off side or get a personal foul, Hughs, and the contract we gave DM, and a few others. Every team hits on some draft picks as well.

  10. Being should a high draft pick (and what all the Bills gave up to move up to get him) and how several other receivers drafted after him (mainly Beckham) have hit there mark in the nfl, i can see why both fans and Watkins can be upset. One has to be honest about how much has been injured, the same way they need to be honest about him not being targeted correctly. He has talent, however seems to lose focus at times and drops easy throws, and stalls drives at times. I would say tweeter wars with people not a winning cause.

  11. The Buffalo Bills are too undisciplined, have too many penalties, and have way too many injuries to key players, too early in the season.

Reason: Incompetent Head Coach Rex Ryan.

I would agree with most of this however, not the injuries being Ryan's fault. Seems like every year a few times go through a year where injuries always cause the to have to change who they what to be.
