  1. Hmmm… that's a long drive but on the other hand, it sounds like you'll be spending Christmas in Miami. That sounds better than Christmas in Iowa.

As far as my buddy Meathead, I think you're overreacting a bit. Much ado about nothing, IMO.

On the grand scale, this is very mild stuff.

No thanks dont want to go to a empty miami stadium in december im gonna fullfill a 20 year dream ORCHARD PARK. Boss is buying me two two tickets. Plus im riding with two dophin fans i see at the bar on sundays gameday. NOV 15th game is the only night game we have

  2. Like most quotes that the media uses, they're taken out of context. I thought the interview was fantastic as well and not homer at all. If you don't believe you can win before the season even starts, they you probably won't. If you concede the wild card is the best you can do, then that will probably be the best you will do. That's psychology 101 kids.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Its to bad 75% of the bills fans are always negative about everything. I BILLEVE 2 WE CAN DO IT! SUPERBOWL. I am so excited this year that im driving to my first buffalo game vs miami NOV 15th from IOWA

  3. Before the rule changes, it was VERY important to run the football, and stop the other team from doing so. This was, in most cases, the key to championships. Yes I know, the 49ers were an exception to some degree. Lately, passing stats are through the roof.

Accepting the above as a given, let's take a look at the direction Nix has chosen.

Nix dedicated HUGE resources to the DL. He signed 2 expensive free agents, extended KW's contract (Nix did this, right?), and used a #3 draft selection on a player who is hell to run against. And, KW is no slouch against the run in his own right.

On offense, we are fielding at LT and LG (assuming Glenn starts), 2 second round picks on the left side. Both of them could have easily gone in round 1. Additionaly, we have a first round center, and a right side composed of mauling types. Nix used the 9th pick of a draft for Spiller (already having a very good back in FJ), and we don't have any spectacular receivers, nor a field stretching TE. And our QB, while efficient, is not considered "elite."

If this sounds like criticism, it isn't. I like almost all of these moves, as well as the philosophy. The Bills play in the elements (as do 2 of our divisional opponents), and there will be times when passing won't be much of an option. Gailey, while not young, is more "modern" than Nix imo. He runs a very complex, new era offense. The old school/new school thing just might work.

Bottom line? If the defense stays healthy, I think we might be a bit more conservative on offense this year. More running, and less risky passes that wound up being intercepted. I do trust Gailey to come up with some creative passing strategies, but hope that we will be in a poition to pound it out on the ground a bit more.

If the Bills don't have all the pieces in place this year, I would be more than OK to watch them pound the s*&t out of their opponents, utilize home field advantage, and make the playoffs.

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good stuff! freddy cj 1-2 pound it!!!!!

  4. WILLIAMS ... WILLIAMS ... DARIUS ... ANDERSON ... KELSAY ... EDWARDS ... MERRIMAN ... and whoever else survives the line battle at camp ... what an incredible D-LINE rotation ... all positive energized motor players and if Wanns creates the right scheme no QB will have any time to think about more than their initial option downfield.

THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMEN of the NORTH!

I really billeve that these guys are only going to make our offensive line that much better. Most importantly CORDY GLENN's development into a day one starter at LT

  5. Nobody gives reiff any love !!!! When we select him at 10 you'll grow your respect for him.

In fact when he was a starting RT because we had a LT by the name of Bulaga both those guys were anchors for a guy named SHONN GREEN who was the first IOWA rb to ever win the DOAK award. The only rb that season to have 12 100yd games. REIFF will open up holes for freddy and cj

  6. I like Mike, but he's not infallibile and missed a few like anyone else.

That's why I'm still a fan of Glenn. He's not Kalil, but he's battle tested (50 starts), versatile and has the size/strength to hold up against NFL d-linemen from day one. Getting a solid, if non-Pro Bowl quality starter that can lock down that position for 5-10 years with the 10th pick is good value, IMO...

Nobody gives reiff any love !!!! When we select him at 10 you'll grow your respect for him.

  7. Geez, Iowa fan getting all fired up for his boy. Blackmon is much better IMO. I like Mcnutt and would be happy with him in rd 3, but he's no blackmon. I could care less about stats.

Ididnt say Mcnutt was a better reciever overall but for the position they'd both be picked at theres not alot of difference. I would take other positions first and mcnutt in the 3rd or 4th. My point IOWA STATE held blackmon (in oklahoma st's only) loss like 3 catches 35 yards thats not good. Mcnutt is used to a two WR set full back and TE (PRO TYPE OFFENSE) and still did very similiar numbers to blackmon. Now for a receiever who is used to hiding and scheming around 4 other receivers criss crossing if a team like IOWA STATE can hold him down. What is blackmon gonna do when revis is one on one. NOT WHAT STEVEY DOES haha go BILLS

  8. Options #6, 4, then 1 would be my preference. I do think it would be a mistake to go into the draft with this positional philosophy though. That leads to you reaching. I still think you go best player available. Which means their big board would determine from all of those RD 1 options at all positions who gets drafted round 1. Same for Rds 2, 3. That seems to be how they have run their draft in years past. The picks of Spiller and Williams kind of speak to that in my opinion.

McNutt doesn't look bad. But there is probably a reason he is listed as a 3-4th Rd projection. One thing that stood out to me that I did not see in his highlight reel is that I did not see much of him fighting for the ball in traffic or jump balls. Maybe he did, but I didn't see much of it, so I'm throwing it out there. Correct me if I'm wrong. IIRC, that is something Buddy is looking for in a WR. "Open even when he is covered." I think Floyd is the pick at 10 if he's there. If they wait until Round 3-4 for a WR, I would love to get McNutt though.

Im with you in the 3-4th im saying we could get REIFF (another hawkeye HAHA) at ten and other needs in 2nd and 3rd and still get a great receiver. Remember this IOWA afew years ago started 8-0 and was playing a good MICHIGAN ST on the road For a WR who was in his first year at WR as a sophmore was clutch and he made shure this ball was his on the last play of the game.......also notice RIEFF is #77 he was a starter then if shonn green would have came back for his senior season after winning the doak awad we might have won a championship we played this season im showing with 3 freshmen running backs

  9. Yeah lets pick a RT 10th in rieff and wait til the 3rd round when theres no good receiver left :) if we want a true no.2 WR we will get one in the first or 2nd. Mcnutt toon jenkins childs all have major holes in there game thats why there considerd 3rd and 4th round picks, we need to go WR first or DEFENSE an then the other 2nd pick. We can get a better T later in the draft than martin/reiff/adams at 10

PLEASE tell me what major hole is in mcnutts game?? IS IT ABILITY TO SEPARATE? NO..... IS IT HIS BUTTERFINGERS HELL NO. OR IS IT BECAUSE EVRY YEAR HE GOT BETTER AND BETTER SWITCHING FROM THE QB POSITION to eventually breaking the schools records and being 1st team all big ten. McNUTT is better suited for the pro type offence than blackmon whio played in a pass happy 5 Wr set. Look at both stats from last year and you tell me the MAJOR DIFFERENCE

  10. I guess you guys didn't watch any of Burris' video.

If you did, those names wouldn't be coming to your minds.

This guy is an exceptional athlete with a non-stop motor.

Not only does his tape show very well but his times from the combine and his pro day are very exceptional.

And he plays much faster than he times.

I don't think I've ever seen a linebacker run down more plays in backside pursuit.

Agreed with everything you said. If we added him to our already stacked pass rush hopefully he'd be there 4th or 5th. He reminds me of a better and faster Matt Roth who was a hawkeye then dolphin

  11. Move up for what ?? Other than Luck or RG3 there isn't any one else besides maybe Kalil to go after ??

I unlike you I don't see Buddy getting rid of a for sure great player in Fred to get a POSSIBLE good LT , b/c as we all have seen when you draft you never really know what you get until they prove it !!

Last year every one said Bulaga was going to be this great LT for years to come & Kiper along with Mcshay said that Gabbert was a top QB in the draft (HOWS THAT WORKIN FOR YOU ??) Bulaga is now a RT & Gabbert  stunk last year & the Jags are in the hunt for another QB so theres your draft speculation in high gear !!

uh chad clifton is a all pro type tackle and they had to get bulaga on the field somehow. Once clifton retires he will be a solid LT for a long time. I mean ask shon green who won the doak award at iowa. All those 5 star running backs didnt win it...

  12. Mine:

    OT (Reiff, Martin, Adams) 1st

Curry DE, or Jeffery WR, or Brown OLB 2nd

Mcnutt WR or Best Available CB 3rd

Speedy OLB to cover TE’s, or CB or DE 4th A

    Developmental QB 4th B

I like yours except miami will pick mcnutt in the 3rd two picks ahead of us because his college O.C. is now WR coach and they have two third rounders thanks to the Marshall trade. Ihope we get him but id bet my paycheck miami does

  13. I agree with the idea of adding a solid OT, but I don't see one falling to us at number 10 that would justify that pick. I would love to see a team trade up with us giving us an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick allowing us to grab an OT at the right spot in the 1st, maybe Mike Adams, although I am not sold on his work ethic. With the extra draft pick I would package that and the 4th we received for Lee Evans and move back into the first for this kid...

    youtube.com/watch?v=u9QIm93rcoE

Now we grab an OT, great WR with speed, height, and unbelievable hands, and still have picks remaining in all the rounds. I do think some teams will be very desperate to move up to the 10 spot to grab a player they love.

    Yeah i like him

  14. Is that something Ronald busted?

    RONALD?

    Please stop being creepy.

But seriously - that came off weird.

So if you were a die hard bills fan for 21 years and a fan of your favorite college team you wouldnt wouldnt want a guy you cheered for to maybe see whats going on up here in buffalo. Dont call me creepy. I am a fan like you. Let me guess everything you say is cool or right.

  15. I know many church folk who don't drink but like to shoot the living **** out of animals in the woods. I wouldn't call them barbarians at all.

I personally prefer a barbarian who likes to tear it up on a Saturday night, not make deer jerky in his dehydrator.

Your ungreatfull. Mario was a great signing Im getting sick of negative things said about our team. I bet a hot stripper wouldnt get you hard....

HELL I BET IF WE SIGNED PEYTON MANNING YOU WOULD FIND SOMETHING TO CRY ABOUT. Shut up!!!!!
