    TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK

    LB- Chris White

  3. 1. Jonathan Martin OT Stanford-This to me is a safe pick. I know some really want a WR here but after hearing what Buddy said today, it seems he likes his receivers right now. he did mention he might add one through FA or the draft, and we will get to that later. I don't think D. Bell is worth the risk, yes, when he did play he played well, but at such an important position on the line I don't want to play OL musical chairs mid way through the season like last year. I would still resign Bell, but keep him for depth purposes.

    2. Vinny Curry DE Marshall-I actually think its smart for Buddy to wait on a pass rusher. I think Curry has just as much potential as any pass rusher that is projected to go in the first. The only knock on him is that he never really played against elite talent. That being said in his senior year he was constantly facing double teams and was still producing good numbers, thats good enough for me. Plus with Dareus, and a 100% Williams clogging up the middle, demanding double teams, leaves Curry to go 1 on 1. I like those odds. And if Curry thrives, he will demand double teams, leaving either Dareus or Williams 1 on 1. I like those odds as well. A win win!

    3. Tommy Streeter WR Miami-Now here's where we will answer our possible No.2 receiver. The Bills might make a run at Vincent Jackson in FA, but I think other teams with more cap space like NE, will snatch him up. BUT THATS OK! Because we will pick up Streeter. This guy fits the mold of everything Buddy wants in a receiver, tall and fast. Here we will get the deep threat that was missing last year.

4a.Coryell Judie CB Texas A&M-I really think Buddy is going to go all out to get Brandon Carr if he hits FA (which I think is going to happen). Carr might be our big FA signing, and I'm okay with that. Buddy did say though he wants 2 more corners, enter Judie.

4b.Russell Wilson QB Wisconsin-Ok I hear all the complaints about his height. BUT!! I think this guy has just as much upside as Luck, and RGIII. If Wilson makes the transition smoothly he could be just as dangerous as the 2 other QB's mention if they also make a smooth transition. I'd rather have a back up/potential groomer thats someone who has a measurable defect and has unbelievable upside, rather than someone who looks like a QB but... well I guess thats it, they just look like a QB. Plus I think Wilson would THRIVE! under Chan's system. Let's pick the kid up and see what he's got. If he sucks, no real skin off our backs.

Now the rest of the Draft should have three things in mind and they are 1. Depth 2.Depth and 3. Depth. O wait there's a 4th and that Depth. Depth in the LB's, and the OL especially.

Well thats my 2 cents. Tell me what you think.

Good show. Like Streeter, Wilson, Still not set on OT in the 1st but we'll see how it plays out.

  4. Yeah, lets worry about paying a 25 year old two time 1,000 yard receiver who's played on crap teams for both of those years as the only viable receiving threat. Oh, and he is an inhouse developed 7th round draft pick that has stated that he wants to stay in Buffalo. It's quite simple, good franchises don't let players like this go. I don't really care about a couple celebration penalties or 2 dropped passes (only one of which would have clearly been a touchdown).

OR, we can go out and overpay a crappy FA who only comes here because no one else wants him and doesn't really want to be a Bill and hasn't really produced before or is at the tail end of their career. Anyone who really thinks we are going to get someone on the same level as Mario Williams to come here is out of their mind (when all we do is let players like Stevie leave all the time).

    Get it done.

^^^ Agreed to the max. Sign the kid. Do something right. He is the most proven and consistent free agent receiver that the BILLS will be able to sign. Don't let him go.

  5. Cut him. He is the most inconsistent player there is. He constantly gets beat and occasionally will make a play. He is getting old and I understand that he provides "veteran leadership or experience" but I'd rather have a young guy like Williams or Rogers in there gaining quality experience. Plus, you got to give McKelvin ONE more year. Cut Florence.

  6. QB:

    Fitzy

A developmental QB taken in 5/6 round

Fred AND CJ (get them both involved)

    OL:

    LT Bell/Hairston/Draft pick

    RG: Levitre

    C: Wood

    LG: Urbik

    RT: Pears

    Defense 4-3

DE: 1st round pick: Coples/Upshaw/Melvin Ingram

    DT: Dareus

    DT: Kyle Williams

    DE: Alex Carrington

    LB:

OLB: 2nd round pick Ronnell Lewis/Lavonte David

    ILB: Kelvin Sheppard

OLB: Barnett/Merimann (who knows what he will bring)

    Secondary

    CB: Terrence McGee/Florence

    CB: Aaron Williams

    Nickel: Leodis McKelvin

    S: George Wilson

    S: Jairus Byrd

    K: Rian Lindell

P: Moorman (last year), draft one in a late round

    KR: Justin Rogers

    PR: McKelvin

  7. Obviously, a pass rusher would be the top priority. My options would be Coples, if there, but most likely Upshaw, but dont sleep on Jerel Worthy from MSU. If the Bills drafted a OT, I would be really dissapointed. An ideal second rounder would be a OLB such as Ronell Lewis or maybe Lavonte David. I like a mock draft I saw on Walter Football that had the Bills taking WR Tommy Streeter from the U in the 3rd round. In later rounds, I would draft some O linemen and maybe 1 corner.

  8. I like what Buddy is doing and his direction of the team and all. It seems like he is saying the right things but we will have to wait and see if he pulls the right strings. If he resigns Stevie, brings in Bowe or Jackson, maybe even a guy like Meachem, and has a strong draft 2012 class, I can see the Bills making the playoffs as a distinct possibility this year. I mean look at their schedule. Besides New England, the Jets, Houston, and San Fran (who knows what Indy will be) every single team is mediocre or below average. The way I look at it, I see the Bills losing 1 of the no-brainer games and pulling one out against the above teams to go 10-6 (w/ a good free agency and draft). But its way early to be predicting records. Buddy is optimistic about Stevie and I hope and think he will sign him.
