  1. "Defense wins Championships" Doesn't preclude you from having the #1 Offense in the League.

It doesn't mean that your offense is not capable .

It means that you have a really good defense.

Which it is much easier to argue that the NYG Super Bowl win proves that "Defense does in fact win Championships" than "having a good offense and a good defense" wins championships.

So how'd that work out for San Fran...

  2. This has been an ongoing argument on the board about which side of the ball wins championships. In the game, the pass rush for the Giants reigned supreme in the end forcing Brady to make throws. Then on the offensive side Eli made clutch throws and usually had a lot of time behind his O-Line and his receiver (Manningham) made a clutch catch near the end of the game. Even special teams in the San Fran vs. NY game and was the deciding factor. Obviously the Bills have a long way to go. I don't know if Fitzpatrick is the answer, but he definitely needs to cut down on his turnovers, Stevie needs to stop dropping balls in clutch moments, and our defense needs to stop making every QB look like Dan Marino. And that is why I think balanced teams win championships.

  3. The NFL is a copycat league and both of the above mentioned are definitely the top 2 in the class. I've heard that matbe Chandler would wan't a lot more money than he is deserving, although I would like him back, but he is replacable. I also think Chan doesn't like to use TE's that often in his offense, but these players are so versatile you can play them as WR's in some sets. Would you be against drafting one of them in the second round?

  4. Sam Bradford, Steven Jackson, a couple average WRs, and now Jeff Fisher and Greg Williams

    or

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Fred Jackson/CJ Spiller, Stevie Johnson, Chan Gailey and Dave Wannstedt

No way you want to be the Rams? Granted I'm not seeing the superbowl in the cards next year for either team, but I can see reason for Rams fans to be looking forward to next season.

The Bills do kick the crap out of the Rams in the most important category I suppose ... facial hair ;)

Next year it will be the stache vs. the stache...

  5. Reggie Sandilands of Bethune Cookman has been getting looked at by the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons.

I just did this article with him, so make sure you that check out the newest article on the passionate ILB from Miami, Florida

  6. oh for chrissake...

the whole dang LEAGUE uses a freakin spread offense half the time!!

so they'll all wrong, especially the pats, those losers.

(er, that's "offence" and "hosers" for u northerers, eh?)

Again, I had a bipolar moment and just vented...I'm just PO'd about this season...

  7. But you said it belongs in college. I think the packers run something similar too. You know two of the best offenses ever were speed offenses (This year in GB and 2007 with NE) Maybe Chan is on to something and trying to be ahead of the curve that is coming to the NFL, you know that passing league that seriously favors the offense.

    I had a bipolar moment...

  8. Don't get me wrong, I like CJ. I definitely don't consider him a bust. I think the Bills picked him with the intention of using him as Bush/Sproles type of back that the saints use. He can do that, he's proved it the last few weeks. And when he gets into space he's very dangerous.

I just think they will always need a bigger more "conventional" guy that can do a lot of the "other" RB stuff like blocking, goal line, late game grinding... Jackson can do that...

Choice has had to come in during those situations lately, but unfortunately he isn't very good.

Terreance Gannaway from Baylor can be used as a RB/FB hybrid and we could probably get him in the 5th/6th round...just sayin
