  1. I thought this was a sarcastic post at first, but then quickly realized it was for real. I forget exactly the number but EJ had about 20 yards more passing than matthew Stafford after the first half...and Stafford played in 8 inches of snow. EJ has had one solid game...against the Jets. Luck took a 1-15 team to the playoffs in his first year and lost to the eventual superbowl champs. In 10 years you are going to look at this post and regret saying Luck and the Colts are not going anywhere. They solidify their defense and one more WR, they are set. The Bills have question marks at every position, and the record speaks of that

  2. Watched the Bills game on Sunday and was incredibly impressed with the offensive output, but I was also watching the Lions game with a buddy and remember him saying, "finally, they are putting reggie in the slot". With Freddy J not looking like he is losing a step, why not have some formations where we have CJ in the slot? Guy can catch, juke out anyone, and very few linebackers can keep up with him...if any. Now should we send him down the middle every time for him to get annihilated and injured...absolutely not. Should we have some formations where chandler blocks for more pass protection, EJ checks down and throws a short pass to CJ and sees what he does with it, absolutely. We have some potential playmakers on the outside but lets give the defenses one more thing to think about.

    Thoughts?

  3. EJ has a cannon of an arm and I think once he shakes off the rookie mistakes he will be the franchise QB, but as I watched the Pitt game, he unfortunately reminded me of Tebow. Looking down receivers and throwing an absolute dart straight to him. As far as leading receivers he did not do a very good job at all, something tebow also struggled with. At least four passes that I remember sailed over the WR heads toward the sideline. However there was one play where he converted a 3rd and 4 to Chris Gragg but the ball was aimed straight at his feet. Since I've never been a QB, is this something our QB coach can fix or we just stuck with the hope he gets better?

  4. Welcome to the board and thanks for the insight. Both are young teams. I can see the score being 7-6 at half and then each time finds a groove in the second. Our cookie cutter defense should allow Cam to run wild if he chooses, or pass the ball, or jumping jacks...we can't get to him regardless.

Wish you the best of luck on Sunday and thanks for the pic. Those girls are fantastic sir

    Go Bills!

  5. I could use some help from the natives of Buffalo. This past weekend I bought 4 tickets to the home game vs the bengals. This will be my first trip ever up in the b-low and could use some help.

What's a good hotel to stay at that is remotely close to the stadium since I don't know my way around the streets. Preferably a hotel that offers a shuttle service of some kind that could drop us off at the stadium.

What's the best place to tailgate? Some directions/street address would be awesome.

    Go Bills!

  6. Eh...I sure hope so but looking at the schedule I do not see 10 wins...

Even if we get three wins between the four games against the Dolphins and Jets...which is a big if.

We play the browns who are the browns. Chiefs are usually a check but a completely re-built team. Playing the AFC North and NFC South...who are all very good. By the time we play J-Ville they will have a new QB at the helm so that may be a tossup. I see 5-11...get a playmaker on defense next year then we can talk about 9+ wins. Tough schedule for a rookie QB

We beat the Patriots in the opening game of the season in 2003 (provided you're not talking about the home opener) and went on to a 6-10 season. The longest regular season win streak is by the Colts in 2008-2009 and is only 23 games. Not sure what you're thinking of, but just thought I would give you heads up. I actually don't recall a significant run like that. Last two home openers I remember with the Pats was 94 and 96 and neither went very long before taking a loss.

My memory served me wrong. Thanks for the correction

The 2003-2004 Patriots have the longest winning streak over the course of two seasons including playoffs. That is 21 games in a row. - This is what I was referring to

  8. last time we beat New England in the opener they went on to win something crazy like 30 games straight with two trips to the superbowl...if memory serves.

Love the optimism though. News broke today that Gronk will start the season on the PUP list and hernandez may have been involved in a murder plus the loss of welker, branch...I like our chances IF we can manage to put points on the board which is a big question mark.

  9. Had some time at work and was wondering on who we should start at QB. Crunched some numbers and was trying to think of who Kolb reminded me of, and unfortunately it was Trent Edwards...

    Kevin Kolb Career

    Games Played: 34

    Completions: 449

    Attempts: 755

    Comp %: 59.5

    Yards: 5,206

    Avg: 6.9

    TD: 28

    INT: 25

    Fumbles: 16

    QB Rating: 78.9

    Trent Edwards Career

    Games Played: 38

    Completions: 563

    Attempts: 929

    Comp %: 60.6

    Yards: 6,033

    Avg: 6.49

    TD: 26

    INT: 30

    Fumbles: 10

    QB Rating: 75.5

Not sure about you all but I am tired of the dink and dunk passes. The avg yards per completion may be at the league average...no idea. I did look up Brees and over his career he has an avg of 7.47 yards per completion so I may be over reacting to the dink and dunk. I'm just hoping EJ turns out to be more like Brees with a career rating of 94.3, light years in front of these guys.

With the changes to the offensive line, I feel we have to start either TJ or EJ to have the ability to scramble. With Wood being injury prone and the loss of Levitre, we may be looking at a Steeler type offensive line all year with changing personnel every other game.

    Thoughts? Go Bills!

  10. If we take it, I'd personally love it. I'm more concerned about the second round some teams just taking a shot at manuel, nassib, glennon, and others. I have a feeling barkley and g smith will be gone after 1. Teams picking before us in the second are Jacksonville (needs QB), Eagles (apparently are looking at QB), Arizona (needs QB), and Jets (if they don't take one in the first). Guess we will see.
