It's one thing if the defender just bumps into him because of inertia, but in this case, he extended his arms and actually pushed Josh. Yeah, it was a minor shove, but it was well after the ball was in the air and totally unnecessary.

The call was right. The defender should have been more disciplined.

It was a heinous attack and the defender got what was coming to him. We're fortunate Josh wasn't hurt. 😆

I agree with the OP...the old Josh came out in the second half...careless holding the ball, upsportsmanlike conduct, fumble, happy feet in the pocket.  He did get it together enough to win in the end, but wow, the last quarter was UGLY.

In the post game interview, he called it sandlot football. It was all of that. He gets a B+(Which is still really good) for the game but an A for that last drive. He's incredibly competitive and it got the best of him for a bit. Fortunately, someone talked him off the ledge and he became the calm, cool QB we know him to be.

Honestly, the coaches have nothing to do with these workouts. These guys are professionals. They work at their craft. I’ve been working from home for almost the last 3 months. No one has to call me to tell me what to do. I understand the expectation of my job. I understand how to do the job. This is no different.

Exactly this. What we are seeing is Leadership from the people who should be leaders on the team.

I Agree. Romo tells us what a team should be doing in any given situation in real time. He explains why a play worked and what was excellent about a player’s performance, or what was bad about it if it didn’t. He’s just about always right. As a game analyst, Romo is pretty great.

If you are going to pick a D-2 safety in round one you better be right.

He didnt start in high school until he was a senior, he only had D2 offers, he redshirted as a freshman and he will be 24 years old by the time the draft happens. I'm very very wary. I'm not saying he can't play and I'm not saying I wouldn't draft him but there is an ocean of difference between D1 and D2 in terms of competition and drafting a 24 year old D2 safety who has played against 0 NFL caliber WRs and TEs is one of the riskier things you can do with a first round pick. Day 2, day 3? Sure, knock yourself out.

A lot of people said this about Kahlil Mack as a linebacker..........

  6. I'm a Bills fan first. Always. I spent my college years in Pittsburgh during the Cowboys-Steelers SB rivalry, so Pittsburgh is my second team to watch. My affinity for them does not match my love of the Bills. Witness that I wear the Bills logo every day. There is no shame in having a second team to root for in the NFL. I'm also a Florida State fan thanks to the Bobby Bowden years. I love pain, obviously.

  7. It seems to me we should be glad that we have a young, articulate, knowledgeable guy making this presentation. I was struck by this more than what he said about each player. Assistant my a@$. Promote him now!

Oh, and in case you need more on EJ, check out this article if you haven't already. It's mostly about Mastrole but what he has to say about EJ goes to some of the "it" factor. EJ gets it.
