  1. Are we really gonna get worked up in preseason again?

Draft your fantasy teams, have some steak, drink some beer.

I love the Bills just like most of you. Yes they look ****ty at points and they also don't.

    The TE's look promising.

    The D looks promising.

    Shady will be awesome.

    Have you seen Zay?!

    Promising.

I will never turn my back on this team as long as it is in Buffalo.

I cannot wait for this season.

It's a new unknown. Yes, maybe we will suck.

But, we may also retire Brady and re-retire Cutler.

Are we really a bad team?

    I don't think so.

  2. It is a good article and it is the point I made repeatedly in my critique of Rex in the offseason.

This team is built to win this way. The money is still slanted towards the defense and the coach is a defense first guy. Our D is supposed to win us games with the run game, good STs and a limited pass game as complimentary pieces.

Last year we didn't win this way enough. This year we have won 3 in a row this way.... let's keep it rolling.

I totally agree. This defense has really stepped up. We have the league leader in sacks and tackles and I think we are tied for third in give/takeaway. Our team is missing great players just like all the other teams, but we have still managed 3 W's in a row.

I am encouraged and you should be too. This team is playing well.

  3. I love the team and I love reading the opinions on this board, but I think many are anchored to the past. Yes, we might lose to the Chiefs. Yes, we might beat the Chiefs. I honestly don't know how this season is the same as last season or the 14 before that.

If we want to believe that we are cursed and nothing changes, then yes we lose.

But, everything has changed in a very short time and is starting to come together.

I want a little more positivity for the now and a lot less negativity from the past.

  4. Sick of Rex??? No sir! We are entering week 6 with an entirely new coaching staff, a difficult early schedule, several key injuries and we are 3-2. To read this board you would think we lost 5 games in a row to the Jaguars. Give the team a minute and let it all sink in. If we get rocked and look out of our league against the Bengals, then maybe we can start to worry. Until then, quit trying to fire everybody or cut everybody or if we win worry about how we can keep everybody. Good Lord! Try to enjoy **** for a change.

  5. Great stomp down of the Phish today, even though the commentators made it sound like Miami should be winning.

Yes, the Bills got "exposed" by the Patriots last week. Hmm.... I heard blueprint to beat the Bills.. Funny. TB is a First Ballot Hall of Fame QB whether Bills Fans like it or not. I saw a pretty downtrodden Ryan Tannehill today. They keep wondering when he is gonna take his next "step." Meanwhile, our QB is lighting things up! Another 3 TD's again.

When, in the last 15 years, have we had a team this deep with great players and a coaching staff that actually coaches and cares?

People in the national media focus on Rex and our D and rightly so... But, you, and I know that this team has quietly put together an offensive powerhouse. There are weapons everywhere.

I, for one, want to enjoy this victory and gloat. I knew this offense was gonna be amazing and the D is great! Special shout out to Jerry Hughes, because he is just a maniac that disrupts everything!

  6.

When the Bills finished 9-7, their first winning season in 10 years, it was tempting to see them as a team on the rise, one that had emerged from years of incompetence. Instead, the franchise has reached a level of dysfunction unparalleled in its 54-year history.

    -Jerry Sullivan.

Really? Unparalleled? I feel like our team is in the best position it has been since, well, forever.

We have a new owner and a commitment to stay in Buffalo.

We have a strong, young team brimming with talent. Mostly realized on the defensive side but yet to be on the offensive side.

The coach and qb most people here wanted gone, up and left on their own.

Schwartz is under contract until 2016.

He will only leave for a HC job or resign or get fired. He can't just move off and be DC somewhere.

  7. Claiming Marrone is unintelligent is straight talk? He just walked away with 4 mil for nothing and will have another HC job with more organizational control ASAP. Frankly, it was brilliant. :eyeroll:

Right!? He has experience and is in demand and he is banking it! good for him! Why wouldn't he want to caoch the Jets? That is more his hometown dream than Buffalo. He is from there! Good for him! Hopefully we will continue to upgrade at Coach, as he, was our last upgrade.
  8. Give me a break. If you think that game last week proved anything then you are seriously delusional. Marrone was so overmatched against Belichick that it was pathetic. Rex beat Belichick in a playoff game at Gillette Stadium.

I think it meant something. I don't think it says Marrone is better than Belicic. But, supposedly Rex Ryan Is, and Doug Marrone CRUSHED Rex Ryan twice THIS year so.... Hmmmm.. Oh what? Tom Brady?

The SAME Jets that just embarrased that "good" team in Miami. Geno Smith...358yds! haha.

  9. Doesn't sound too bad to me. I just like the idea of hiring someone who has actually proven he can beat Belichick/Brady, someone who won't "kiss the ring". Until we find someone who can beat NE on a semi-regular basis, we are going nowhere. And you know Rex would get the boys fired up to play the Jets.

Half the reason the Patriots dominate this division is because there is all this turnover. It's not because Rex is a genious. We beat them with Fitz and Orton. I know the Orton one doesn't "count." but I know the Patriots have played many "meaningless" week 17 games during their 12 years of dominance or whatever.

But, it didn't stop the fact that by Buffalo beating them, some of their epic AFC/foxboro stats hit restart.

    So !@#$ing dig it!

I didn't see ANYONE on Marrone's teams "kissing the ring!"

  10. I wasn't surprised that the people in Detroit rooted for the Bills. I'd be surprised if they Didnt! The Jets represent NYC abd lots of bad things. Believe it or not, there are Bills fans everywhere.

to be clear! I am not bad mouthing NYC! just the media coverage

  11. OP here... I have read several good points and observations. Sometimes I can't stand what I read on here, but I never look away. Just like being a Bills fan, haha!

But, I think the point I was trying to make was that this is a total Team-Building experience, with the GIANT bonus of these special NFL atheletes from all over the country, sharing a uniquely "Buffalo" event. I just think it's going to forge a more cohesive team that has a greater understanding of the GREAT people they are playing for.

  12. We have heard the Bills may have limited practice this week. Is that good or bad? Who knows. I think it may be good. I think getting some space after the last two ridiculous losses may be good for some.

What I think is interesting is that so many players say "they wanna win for the fans," or "win for the people of this town." But, they kind of just say that or say it because fans are loud as !@#$ at the Ralph. That is totally fine.

But, now, after this storm. I think many of them are seeing, for the first time maybe, how great is the City of Good Neighbors. They may have gotten a hold of that greater than them, community feeling.

I live in Florida, but I am a Hamburg, Lakeview, Lackawanna roots guy. Western NY is one of the greatest places in the world and that is the truth. I could go on about the Finger Lakes where I grew up mostly, but All of that is Awesome! I digress...

I truly believe that there is a good core on this team and I think this snow experience may forge them into something special.

  13. I am not about to give up on this team ever. I was wondering if anyone had called out Manny Lawson. He lost contain on two big TD plays. The 4th and 1 where Jamaal Charles got a TD and then later when Alex Smith ran for the TD. Both times he overpursued inside and gave up the edge. I think if anyone needs a negative mark in this game he has to be near the top of the list.
